Liverpool is different in crime to a lot of cities because it's high level organised crime. If the organised crime groups was to dismantle, there'd be a lot more drill/gun violence. It's not like Chicago where there's constant murders, it's working class and down to earth, mostly friendly and you can be in stitches laughing from just random conversations with people, the humour is what I love
Liverpool is one of the safest cities in the UK. People are great, very welcoming and very open to visitors & newcomers. There are a few areas with a reputation but these places are nothing like back in the 80s and there is nowhere where a person cannot walk around. Drugs and poor politicians have affected many UK towns and cities but that aside the districts & streets of Liverpool are safe.
I know why !!! 2 premier leage football teams bring big number of hooligans - that make a small number of street crimes .... hoolsRulz and they are working class

I’m born and live in Liverpool never had danger or anything and everyone who visited my city say most Scousers are one of the nicest people in England and look after you when you in Liverpool

Im born and bred in Liverpool and Liverpool is like most cities, every city has its crazy areas, but the people in Liverpool standby each other when needed something you dont find in most cities
True, we even look after people from other cities, remember the bomb scare at Aintree, when the people of Liverpool opened their homes to the stranded racegoers, I remember one family putting up 11 people, hahaha, Yeah man, this city has a massive heart...
I had a girlfriend from Huyton in Liverpool between 2014 and 2021. I'm from a sleepy rural town in South Wales. On one of my first visits to Huyton, a boy was shot dead off the back of a motorbike by someone driving past in a car near our local shops. They were actually aiming for the rider but got the passenger by mistake. A year or two later we got into a taxi and asked the driver to take us to the One Stop shop on Longview, Huyton, which is actually the same area as where the boy got shot. The driver said it wasn't there anymore. We thought he meant that the One Stop shop wasn't there anymore because they had changed the name of it, but it turned out that it really wasn't there anymore. Somebody had blown up the whole building to get the cash machine out of the wall. There was only a pile of rubble left. In my personal experience though I found the street where my girlfriend lived relatively quiet. I never really witnessed anything bad. The worst thing I saw was a kid waving a Stanley blade around in Page Moss McDonalds in the daytime, but he was thrown out by a female member of staff.
Looking forward to part 2 with Billy. Like anywhere timing will make the place dangerous, it depends who you come across, you put yourself at a much higher risk of crossing those type of people in those areas

Just found your Channel Chris, thanks to @Wendellexplores ! Loved Liverpool and its people. We were there in 2015. My Grandfather was born there so had to visit ( grew-up in Shropshire). Heard scary stories about the area's we came from in the 1840's Walton on the Hill. But only ran into nice people who were helpful and interested in why we came from Canada to visit. We will be back!
Respect to the young lads in the shop for looking out for you guys. Most people would be scared or nervous to approach and speak to them but you had abit of banter and got to know scousers are the best people around. Great video 👍
I live near Bradford and i have been to Liverpool on many night outs and i have never felt unsafe there . But that's a different story in Bradford . Wether its Night or day it doesn't feel safe ( not all of bradford but a big majority doesn't feel safe) .

Took my wife(Indian) to liverpool which is extremely close to where I’m from. She felt very uncomfortable the whole time. I’m very oblivious to how it actually is these days so hearing her perspective really made understand how bad it’s gotten

They encouraged drug use(which was a major epidemic) it destroyed families,communities and the social structure.That is what led desperate people to do desperate things 😢 BUT we have risen from the ashes and although the stigma still exists it is without substance these days 🙏 Thank you for your portrayal and support of a little pocket of Liverpool ❤ I hope you found that on a whole scousers will help before hinder and you also experience our unique sense of humour..

Go to Eldon Grove in an area called Vauxhall, Liverpool. It's a classic 'Old skool' residential building that has been allowed to fall into disrepair, the area itself is worse for wear. I definitely think it would be up your street . It is a shock to see how it's slowly decaying. I can email you photos I took years ago compared to now. No one is taking responsibility, it's been like that for decades now x

I lived in Liverpool 5 years, started on boarder between aigburth and Toxteth, went to Kirkwall (minor issues there with car tyres and such but definitely the nicest) then moved to norris green.... which is what made us leave. Going in from Walton hall Ave. With nice semi and park, very different to murihead

Im from Liverpool myself and i think scousers are the most friendly/aggressive people. If you ask me rosset street is one of the worst streets. Theres alot that goes on there, mostly at night.
I live in the so-called worst block of flats in Hull, East Yorkshire Chris & i always say these areas really aren't bad places to live as long as your not in a negative lifestyle & i find the people in these areas are the most down to earth characters around & you just dont get that in middle class/upper class areas & tbh to say there supposed to be the fine & upstanding ones their actually the most small minded people around so yeah give me Council Estates & victorian terraced Slums any day but as i said Chris as long as your not there in a negative way you'll be fine in these "bad Areas" although there's always a few muppets but hey isn't there everywhere 👍👍

Liverpool isn't a dangerous place in general, as long as you're friendly and not a dickhead. And don't go round upsetting people. It wasn't the safest place as a teenage metalhead 20 years ago, kind of put a target on your back, but if you managed to get a conversation in with the kids who wanted to attack you first they'd realise you where the same as them and they'd leave you alone.
Kensington, Philadelphia is far rougher than Kensington, Liverpool, not saying certain parts of Liverpool don't have their issues with crime and violence because they definitely do.

I lived in Liverpool 5 years, started on boarder between aigburth and Toxteth, went to Kirkwall (minor issues there with car tyres and such but definitely the nicest) then moved to norris green.... which is what made us leave. Going in from Walton hall Ave. With nice semi and park, very different to murihead

Im from Liverpool myself and i think scousers are the most friendly/aggressive people. If you ask me rosset street is one of the worst streets. Theres alot that goes on there, mostly at night.

I live in the so-called worst block of flats in Hull, East Yorkshire Chris & i always say these areas really aren't bad places to live as long as your not in a negative lifestyle & i find the people in these areas are the most down to earth characters around & you just dont get that in middle class/upper class areas & tbh to say there supposed to be the fine & upstanding ones their actually the most small minded people around so yeah give me Council Estates & victorian terraced Slums any day but as i said Chris as long as your not there in a negative way you'll be fine in these "bad Areas" although there's always a few muppets but hey isn't there everywhere 👍👍

Liverpool isn't a dangerous place in general, as long as you're friendly and not a dickhead. And don't go round upsetting people. It wasn't the safest place as a teenage metalhead 20 years ago, kind of put a target on your back, but if you managed to get a conversation in with the kids who wanted to attack you first they'd realise you where the same as them and they'd leave you alone.
All the areas you were in are rough. But only if you go acting it. Tourists especially you will get nothing but love.
Kensington, Philadelphia is far rougher than Kensington, Liverpool, not saying certain parts of Liverpool don't have their issues with crime and violence because they definitely do.
