Well done, proper solution. Lukas gave me the same story when I complained about the apparently missing grommet. I put a plastic hose fitting on to get a more secure fit. BTW I love my gold star, hopefully the support will improve.
I like mine too. Currently have the O2 sensor pinned and recorded its readings for a future video. Can Ale make a tuning box better and cheaper than a FuelX? What could possibly go wrong 😂
@@-old-school-motorcyclesltd I felt it was a nice simple mod. The panel no longer pushed inward as it did before getting the circlip and rubber, so that’s got to be good. 👍
@@simonbrampton I was thinking of cutting a hole in it and adding a lock. But the effort may be worth more than the panel is worth 😂 You should see my KTM a T25 Torx can remove the £1,000 instrument cluster! 🙃
Ah! so it's not missing as it was never supposed to be there. In other words it's not a "fault" as such, it's a "feature". But you fixed it anyway. Well done. I think someone at BSA was just talking B......s.
@@iaindawson8780 I think I definitely does as the side cover is sometimes banged in and that would probably knock out the circlip so the rubber buffer is definitely needed in my opinion 😀
@@martinholt2844 The round grommets with the clips are there to hold the airbox bracket and the oil tank to the frame. The post without- although identical to the others is supposed to be empty. However, I also preferred to pack it out. I just used a few cable ties and a rubber bung
Exactly. Yet he blames everything on the manufacturer. Great idea for a show. What he really needs to do is sort his camera so we can see both of his faces!
@@MotoTingle If I remember correctly, it's because you always mount or lead a horse from the left, so that's the "near" side. I know very little about horses, but a (motorcycle cop) mate of mine and his missus used to keep a couple.
Same way you mount a motorbike then as side stand always on left even for countries that drive on the right. Guess that must be the reason why (and proof we drive on the correct side in Britain 😅).

But they aren’t much friendly either, a few are nice 👌 I’ve a few other jobs to do on my BSA and fingers crossed it will be the most sorted bike of them all. Let’s see
Where is the retainer/lock/screw to stop the (unfortunately) light fingered scum removing these in 3 seconds a side ? Poor security that. That is just a missing production item I'm sure whatever BSA say !!!!!!
@@ekspatriatthe seat has a UK flag on it. I’d have preferred an Indian 🇮🇳 flag. I mean it’s Indian, why hide it? Id prefer it to be authentic or itself rather than as you point out, badge engineered. I think an 🇮🇳 badge would look nice.
I ordered the circlip and grommet after your first video on this subject and fitted them last week job done, seems like a good idea.
