Unsure where else you might measure the 3-5mm free travel other than the throttle grip flange? There is nothing in this video to suggest otherwise. If you are referring to the misleading BSA owners manual which points to the adjuster (2) but also then uses the figure (2) as a step to follow which suggests measuring at the flange, then I can assume this is where you may have made the mistake in translation. I would not recommend having 3-5mm of freeplay at the adjuster. My video is factually correct.
Such a clear explanation. Don't think the mechanic really knew much about throttle grip adjustment...
Very clearly explained. Thank you.
@@JamesWarrior Thanks very much. It’s nice to be able to give owners options on adjustments or they can defer to their dealer.
Dem goldies,nice little bikes,can't beat a single,v twin,if you must,remember the M21,.. the AA certainly do 😂😂👍!
lol
Hi Alex, page 44 of the owners manual says 3-5mm free travel at the throttle grip flange. That contradicts your advice doesn’t it?

@@MotoTingle I think you need to show where you measure 3-5mm rather than a vague twist. Slack is better than tight always.
@@LumpyCarbs Tell that to the people that fitted my BSA’s wiring loom 😂
I've always adjusted 1-3mm of movement.
