A joy to watch siblings enjoying a trip together! My 87 year old Mom loves your travels as she has done many of the trips in her younger days. She says your voice is very calming and easy to listen to. 😊 Love your travels with Pops too!
To everyone who is reading this, you’re beautiful and an amazing person. Please exercise frequently and eat more fruits/veggies. I wish you all good health, great success, and everlasting happiness!!!!!!!!!
It’s so awesome to see my neck of the woods through the lens of a great YT creator! You even stopped by my old home town of Oak Harbor. Thank you for sharing this corner of the country to the whole world!
Josh, this was so informative, and enjoyable, as always. I love that you are such a "family oriented" person. Thank you both, for taking us along 🇺🇸 🇨🇦 👏🤗👏
In 2006 a terrible windstorm that blew down hundreds of trees in Stanley Park, it was heartbreaking to see the aftermath. New trees were planted, the sea wall and road were repaired. I love Vancouver, there are so many beautiful parks and gardens. Ten years or so ago we visited Dr. Sun Yat Sen Garden, well worth the visit. And, of course Queen Elizabeth Park.
Your videos are spectacular. You let people see alot of places they may not get to see otherwise. Some people don't have the time, money or maybe in poor health that keeps them from traveling. Keep up the good work. Everyone be good to each other.
Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities in Canada. We drove 3x in a year to Vancouver coming from Sacramento. Too many to see and do in Vancouver. Plus the road heading to Vancouver from California is an adventure itself. Riding the Ferry from Port Angeles Washington to Victoria BC to Vancouver was awesome experience.
I’m from San Diego but have lived on Whidbey Island, about 6-7 min south of the Deception Pass bridge, for the last 14 months. Videos like this remind me how lucky I am to be living in this magical place 😍
We drove from Bellingham to Vancouver yesterday too! Rainy day! Your Dad would enjoy Lynn Canyon in North Vancouver. Free suspension bridge and not as high up but coastal temperate rainforest...pretty waterfalls and a nice walk through the woods!
Hi Josh! Happy to meet another one of your family members,so cool! Glad to see you visit my neck of the woods. My husband and I moved from California to North of Seattle a year ago, after having lived in CA for decades. I love Whidbey Island! When the sun is shining you can get great photos of the shadow of the bridge on water at Deception Pass . Hands down my favorite place in Vancouver is Stanley Park. I could spend hours walking the gardens and take photos. Fall is my fave time in the park. Thanks for exploring and your recommendations in Bellingham.. I’ll have to go there soon. Don’t miss Chuckanut Drive next time! Happy Travels! Hope to see you again in these videos, Amy! ❤
This summer my family and I drove from Osoyoos, BC to Seattle and it was sure beautiful. My favourite part was the North Cascades. Hoping to visit Vancouver one day! I’m only 14 hours away across the border in Alberta so it can be done. 🏔
Awesome video Josh! 🙌👍👍🙌Thank you for taking us along from Seattle to Vancouver and I love that you are very family oriented. 🥹🥹Stay safe and looking forward to your next video! 🙏🙏😀😀
Ft.Casey State Park is where "An Officer and A Gentleman" was filmed. Beautiful area. Also. I worked in the Everett plant for two years on the 747s as a Manufacturing Engineer and loved every minute of it. Too bad my wife hated the rain. Oh well.
I visited Ft Casey in 1972 when I was a teen living in Vancouver. Never knew about the famous movie filmed there. The 2 guns there were relics salvaged in the 1960's from similar and long abandoned U.S. forts built in the Phillippines near the famous Fort Corregidor, the last major U.S. Military bastion to fall to the Japanese in the dark and tragic days of early 1942. They are similar to many coast artillery guns of that era and are extremely rare and historic WWII artifacts, another big fort was at the entrance to the Columbia River near Portland, Oregon.
I’m sure some has already said this, but it is NOT Pike’s Place Market. It is Pike Place Market. No ‘S’ after Pike. It immediately labels you a tourist. Picky I know, but it’s so iconic for Seattle we like folks to get it right. It would be like saying Eiffel’s Tower or Empire’s State Building.
Yay Josh thanks so much for this video!! My cousin and I are from Atlanta & we’re doing this in the fall. I can’t wait to use some of your ideas and stops! Thanks so much!
Josh? I'm watching the Bar Harbour video with your dad. Please don't take this the wrong way, but you should never leave your dad alone. It's dangerous out there on those rocky trails. He could get lost or hurt. You know the dangers of u.s. parks, with missing people, etc. you must stay together to protect him. There are bad people everywhere. i hate to watch when you leave him alone I worry about him through the video. He's such a great father. Please stay together. I am a retired cop.
A nice urban road trip. Yes, the ferry with car ride for sure is still the cheapest way from Seatle to Vancouver and not crowded at all. Looks like the price has not been up too much from 30 years ago!!! (Surprised!). I will go back to Vancouver Chinatown for the best Chinese food outside of Hong Kong. Love Stanley Park, Capilano Suspension Bridge. Thanks for your fabulous videos always!
Thanks for this great episode. As a proud South Australian, the ferry ride to vancover was very appreciated. I've always wanted to visit both Seattle & canada. Kind regards to you & your family from Adelaide, South Australia.
I come from a large family. 10 total brothers and sisters. I'm the youngest but my next oldest sibling is my sister who's three years older than I am. IF I were to travel with any of my siblings, it would be with her.. I love that you two are famming up and hitting the road together!
Awesome to see you up in Seattle again! The other side of the Museum of Flight (across the big road) is better than the indoor part, it's outdoors with a roof and has actual aircraft that you can go inside, including an Air Force One/Two and a supersonic Concorde.
An awesome video as usual. I have always wanted to see the best spotson the way to Vancouver. Both cities have superb views. Another thing, your sister has added a different taste to the whole story. Thank you for taking us to those places.
Thanks for making this - another superb travel-vlog and one that covers an area that is close to my heart: Seattle and the pacific northwest. I really hope to get back there again some day soon. Keep making great content!
Love this, as a former PNWer hoping to move back. Curious, Josh, how you find so many cool places to visit. I love how you always find small gems like bakeries or small state parks. Would love to hear sometime what your research is like when you go on these trips!
@@ThroughMyLensWhat a great resource Atlas Obscura is, I’d never heard of it before. Quickly found a bunch of interesting places near where we live in Glendale that I wasn’t aware of - and a few reminders of places I’ve been meaning to go to but haven’t gotten around to. Thanks! 👍
Deception Pass has tons of parking, you just have to pay for most of it. You can either park right after the bridge and pay ten bucks or get a year pass, or you can do the same and park by the water. Its also not "along the way". Its a day trip in itself if you go there you aren't making a pit stop.
Josh: Thank you so much for your channel. So glad I found it. Especially loved this episode since my wife and I live in Coupeville on Whidbey Island. You give me great vacation ideas. Keep it up!
Recently discovered your channel through this video. Really enjoyed all your trips videos. It is therapeutic to watch your videos when I am stuck at home right now with a newborn baby during winter.
Enjoyed this one…love the PNC. Lived in Coupeville back in the late 50’s and we used to go over to Fort Casey frequently. On the waterfront there was a restaurant called the Knead and Feed that changed hands and its name a couple of years ago…also if you get back there hit Tobey’s for a beer. My sister had a home a couple of miles east of Deception Pass on the water … thanks for sharing and bringing back some great memories..
Instead of paying the outrageously high ticket price for Capilano suspension bridge, I recommend Lynn Canyon suspension bridge which is about 15 mins away and free.
Cool trip. I took my kids to Vancouver and Capilano a few years back. It was a great experience. They had a cool raptor experience and trout hatchery . Stanley park was cool with the lighthouses, mermaid statue at low tide and canon that fires towards Vancouver at 8 PM. Watching the Harbor Air seaplanes take off and land was unique too.
JOSH? I love seeing you and your "Fhaadha" together on the show. I worked with someone who is your, "Fhaadha's" twin. I love to see you to together. stay safe
This was a fun trip for me. I love Vancouver and Vancouver island. Have been many times but my last trip was in 2016. As an older Aussie it’s unlikely that I will be able to make the trip again now as health is bad. I enjoy seeing it again though.
I am glad it brought back good memories and I am sorry to hear you health is failing! I haven't spent any time in Vancouver Island but I would love to do that in the future
Mmmmm...Dohnuts!!! LOL. Very cool you visited the Boeing factory! I had that on my list for my last Seattle trip, but ended up getting sick on the day of the tour...so I didn't go. Suspension bridge, I'd be between Pop and your sister. I would definitely cross, but she would have to reach the other side before I took a half a step on, hahaha! Great to see you two on a trip, I love the wonderful fun competition between all three of you!

Vancouver and Seattle are twins separated at birth. Whenever I visit Seattle it feels like a second home.
We feel the same way about our Vancouver and BC friends.
Similar vibes, but Seattle is marred by having I5 rammed right through the downtown. Vancouver narrowly dodged that bullet about 50 years ago.
This is my old stomping grounds. Love and miss it

Bellingham is home to Camber Coffee (downtown on Holly Street), which is one of the top specialty roasters in USA. Woods is fine for what it is.
