Thanks, Kelly! I'm Seattle born and raised, but it's refreshing to see someone who loves it as much as me! Be sure to check out Lincoln Park in West Seattle. In the summer, there's a saltwater pool on the beach (Coleman). You can only get there by walking thru the park. Makes for a nice afternoon swim and picnic!
I love that she called out Dick’s Burgers 😊 I grew up in the valley just outside of Seattle, but my high school would almost always have prom and homecoming dances in Seattle, and getting Dick’s all dressed up in your prom gear was The Thing To Do before a dance, so it’s got a special place in my heart 😊
I'm an LA native and after graduating college during covid, i decided i wanted to move out of state. It was between Seattle or Chicago and I chose Chicago for my career. Keep making amazing content Kelly!
Thank you so much for your review. This is the best review I have seen on RUclips. I have visited Seattle several times before but you gave me some really nice places to visit until I boarded my ship for my Alaskan cruise. Great job young lady.
if you live in seattle, or are just visiting, you HAVE to go get teaking. i've never liked boba since it tasted kind of weird but this place sells BOMBBB boba. even my friends who have been drinking boba for years say this is the best place to get boba. they're located around south lake union !
The Columbia tower is also amazing for a view of the Seattle skyline! It’s cheaper than going up the space needle (plus if you’re looking at the Seattle skyline, you’ll want the space needle in the picture as well!) Awesome video, I’m so excited to move to Seattle soon!
This is so so so helpful! I moved here last May and after a year staying I still feel like a visitor, and thanks to this video I know how to make the upcoming days count! Thanks a ton :)
I’ve been visiting my best friend in Tacoma every year since he moved there in 2015 and I’ve still got so much to explore and experience in Seattle. Love the PNW
This is the BEST video for those who are about to visit Seattle for the next couple of years!! Can't wait to explore them ALL!! Thank you so much for this thoughtful list. I love it!!!!!
Ballard! Visit Ballard. Cute shops, cute places to eat and drink. MIGHTY O has tasty donuts too. Gracia for some mexi. Back to Seattle, Frolik downtown has an amazing rooftop bar. Tacos Chukis on cap hill! Ba Bar! Lil woodies burgers are my favorite burgers in town. Paseo omg Paseo Caribbean sandwiches. So many good food places haha
Ballard is so much fun. Especially Ballard Ave at night. Lively and young. Very happening but still fun for oldies like me. Just park and walk. You can find places like Little Tin Apothecary (stupidly creative cocktails) and Rachel's (equally stupidly good small plates). And if you walk around a bit more, you'll find breweries poking out of walls, high end steak joints like Asadero's. It's just a ridiculously good evening.
I would like to add 4 things to do in Seattle. Visit the Olympic Sculpture Park (free admission). Visit theWaterfall. GardenPark (free admission). Visit the Archie McPhee Seattle store. Visit Uwajimaya ( large Asian grocery store) Thankyou for all work you do!
It feels weird watching this sorta stuff when U have been living in the city since u were a kid lol, I’m a teen and I’ve been here ALMOST my whole life
Thanks for the details on which side of the plane to sit on to get the best view when flying into Seattle. Since you use starboard and port terms, for those who don’t know these terms, starboard is right side and port side is left side.
This is so nice! As a coffee-addicted person, would Iike to add some of my favorite coffee spots Victrola / Ladro / Vivace / Elm coffee / KEXP / Anchorhead (plz try their waffle !) / Armistice coffee etc. Starbucks reserve in Caphill is great to visit but way too hyped and not a good compared with other local coffee brands IMAO.
Thank you, I agree. I can't imagine being a tourist who can get Starbucks in every major city in the world wanting to still drink it in Seattle. It would be like going to San Bernardino to eat at McDonalds. People used to stop me in SLU and ask where the nearest Starbucks was and I'd tell them that they're in Seattle, there's no need to drink that stuff, we have good coffee here. Your list is good. And I'm not Vegan but the Vegan Oat Bar at Ladro is fantastic.
I was born and lived in Seattle for years. My family still lives there while I am away from Seattle as in at Fife Washington for weeks now which is during this month. Things will and do get better.
You deserve AWARDS for this video! SO thorough and helpful, seriously. I live in Bend (down in Oregon) but I'm coming up to Seattle this weekend and this just 1) gave me so many new ideas, 2) reminded me of a few spots I've been to before that I'd forgotten about, and 3) gave me a FRESH desire to move to Seattle. hahaha! Thank you for the many tips! Just completed a 3day city-trip and was able to cover many suggestions - Salt & Straw and Top Pot Doughnuts --> wow! Would definitely also recommend taking the water taxi to West-Seattle, rent a bike at the nearby shop and cycle towards Alki beach and further for great views of the Olympics. Flew from LA, so also followed your tips on where to sit on the plane to get a good look at Mt. Rainier - impressive.
Love this. Golden Age Collectibles (oldest comics store in north America?); Freya Bakery and Cafe is a hidden gem off the market and Geraldine's Counter Restaurant was AMAZING! Also, don't forget the underground tour of Seattle.
You can't leave out Temple Pastries, and Raised Doughnuts for pastries. Don't forget about Milstead & Co for Coffee, The many amazing Ethiopian Restaurants in the Central District (Ras Dashen being my personal fav). Seattle Fish Guys for really solid Poke. Senor Moose & Fonda La Catrina for amazing Mexican brunch. And finally Canon for some amazing cocktails.
You should try Shugs Soda Fountain ! It’s in pikes place market. All sorts of fun ice cream sundaes and normal ice cream stuff as well as Ice Cream Cocktails!
I followed these suggestions almost to a T and I had an amazing experience in Seattle. I stayed at the citizenM Pioneer Square hotel, which is right next to the pier near Iver’s and very close to Pike Place Market. Highly recommend. In regards to the Lime Scooters, or any of the other rentable bikes, I recommend downloading the app for one or two of the ones that are around the city. I decided to rent a scooter when I was standing by the Space Needle and my service want awesome. It cost me about 15 dollars to ride from the Space Needle to the citizenM hotel. I also highly recommend taking the link light rail back and forth to places. I took it to University of Washington a couple times. The campus is gorgeous and a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Starbucks Reserve was one of the highlights of my trip in regards to food and drink. You have to go here. This guide was spot on and helped make my trip the most memorable one I’ve had. Thanks for putting this together! And the construction has made significant progress since this video was made. It’s starting to look great.
This is the PERFECT travel guide that I was looking for! I'm visiting Seattle during the 4th of July weekend and will be moving there for grad school in the fall. I've been binging your videos for a while now and it just makes me more excited for my move :) Always looking forward to your future videos Kelly!

Just moved to Seattle. I have places to go to. Thanks. I understand the houseboat from Sleepless in Seattle is on Union Lake and can only be seen through the water since it is a gated area. I plan to kayak there.
There’s a book called Seattle on film that I would recommend. It came out in the mid 90s but it covers a lot of film sites. One of my favorite films is called dogfight a star in River Phoenix and Lily Taylor. Most of that is in Ballard and downtown along with the Sorrento hotel
Well done, Kelly! I'm a 20 year local and I also suggest Kubota Gardens...a little treasure in the south end. Paseo sandwiches is also amazing and was profiled by Anthony Bourdain when he visited. Cheers!
Visiting Seattle for a week for the first time tomorrow with a big group of family & this is definitely the guide we NEEDED! 🙌🏻 This video is amazing. Thank you so much 🙏🏼💖
Great video with lots of variety! Volunteer Park has great views (though not sure the water tower is open), the new Nordic Museum is supposed to be wonderful (hope to check it out soon), the MOHAI, the boat locks/salmon ladder in Ballard. And if you're visiting without a car but want to get out to some trails, the "Trailhead Direct" is back this year (was closed last year due to COVID)... you can catch a bus from Capitol Hill, Mt. Baker, and a few other stops that takes you right to the trailheads at Mt. Si, Poo Poo Point, and others. And it's $2.75 each way! Rent some gear at REI if you need and head on up!

Kelly!! Wow... After watching your video with my wife, we are totally stoked on visiting your fantastic looking city! It will be our first time visiting Seattle and my first time near the PNW since 1998 when me and my family visited SF! 😳 (My mind is still blown from seeing your video... It's pure 24K Gold!) 💪 So we will be there for a couple of nights as we'll actually be going on an Alaskan cruise out of Pier 91 (I believe it is?) As it will be a week. Up til now I have wanted to go back to San Diego as me and some friends did a two week road trip almost 6 years ago from Houston, TX (the area me and my wife are currently from) to Los Angeles, CA spanning 7 different cities. However, after seeing your in-depth ultimate video, Seattle may just overthrow SD as the #1 city to visit! 👀 Thanks for sharing this video as it's very much appreciated (from Houston, Texas) and I'm jealous you live there! 😲 PS. We'll be visiting Seattle on August 15-17th and then after that, the 17th will start our Alaska 7 day cruise! 🚢 😊 And will be using a GIG or Light Rail Link to travel around the city and my wife loves to drink... She fell in love with Unicorn's "drank" menu! 😂 BTW... Any advice on hotels around $150 or less a night? If not, no worries! 😊 John & Rebecca Alves ❤️
This was such a great, thorough video. I moved to Seattle from LA for all the reasons you mentioned here. The city really is a perfect balance of city and nature. People here can always tell I’m from California because I still say “the 5” instead of, “I-5” or “the 90” instead of, “I-90”. Lol. One of my favorite breakfast places is Portage Bay. They have great, fresh farm-to-table food. Plus vegetarian and gluten free options. For brunch, Joli in the Phinney Ridge area is good. And of course, there’s Greenlake park for paddle boarding and such!

@@evelyngoldsmith7140 Thank you for your insight. We loved Seattle and planned to come back. My daughter is a minor and it was hard to get into a brewery. We were impressed with the food. It was so good.
A nice little bar located near the Space Needle is the 5 Point Cafe....great happy hour!
The central is one of the first bars in Seattle and it’s still around
I miss my home so much!! 😢 this video made me feel like I was there. Seattle and the PNW just give a sense of peace. Great video!
thank you!! ☺️
Living in pompano beach now . Love the perpetual sun here the ocean is warm like bath water. Love Seattle’s spring blossoms & walking in the autumn leaves /fresh air.
The pier is my favorite day trips.
@@victoriasmith815 it looks beautiful there! Does the humidity bother you after living in wa?
@@jbperez9289 Humidity is actually very low compared to East and Gulf coasts. Often under 50%. Reason being the Japanese Current brings cold Ocean waters all the way down to S.F.Bay area where it collides with Humboldt Current creating the Fogs.
I cannot wait to go to Seattle this summer. I am going down there to see a K-Pop group perform I've only been to Seattle twice in my life so this will be my third time
Wow it's like a love letter to Seattle. So glad you're enjoying it!
:3
I love washington state so much , I went there 4 years ago for my birthday and fell in love, I'm planning on ( hopefully ) moving there next year
I'm an LA native and after graduating college during covid, i decided i wanted to move out of state. It was between Seattle or Chicago and I chose Chicago for my career. However, I've always been attracted to Seattle so it was not an easy decision. I hope one day, I make my way back to the west coast and experience living in Seattle.
This is perfect. I just moved here from Texas and I really want to get the Seattle experience
Thanks girl! You’re video just helped me plan my 4 day trip to Seattle in one video. I appreciate you taking the time to do this!
Yeah, as a Seattle resident I always feel like I'm on vacation at home. I'm a tourist in my own city. This place is amazing.
I know what you mean. The Bay Area is very similar but but as green.
The Columbia tower is also amazing for a view of the Seattle skyline! It’s cheaper than going up the space needle (plus if you’re looking at the Seattle skyline, you’ll want the space needle in the picture as well!) Awesome video, I’m so excited to move to Seattle soon!
Ah that’s a good one! I still have that on my list of places to visit!!
Yesss omg my prom was at the Columbia tower and it was the best view I’ve seen of the city
Good advice. Moving there this weekend… well.. to Redmond anyway… but I plan on just walking around town making a slow pace towards my new job. Thanks
how high do you get to go in the columbia tower? is it different from the sky view observatory
I love the way you promote our city. That would help prospect travelers feel like home when they choose their future destination to spend the fun time
This is so so so helpful!
Hi. The Amtrak is also a great way of getting there. Took it twice when visiting Seattle from California. You get great views along the way :)
Oh cool! Where is the pick up area?
I did too! I moved from LA to Seattle in 2019 and took the Amtrak. Beaches to prairies to mountains. Such a gorgeous view.
I live in Santa Cruz - CA. Every year I visit Seattle, one of my favorite cities in USA!
This is the BEST video for those who are about to visit Seattle for the next couple of years!! Can't wait to explore them ALL!! Thank you so much for this thoughtful list. I love it!!!!!
My daughter and her family are visiting there for the first time. I really enjoyed this video. It was informative and fun.
Thank you for keeping the tourists around the tourist areas so the rest of us can enjoy the rest of the city and our hidden gems.
I'm going to Seattle just to look for you and say hi...🤗
Ballard sucks.
Visit Uwajimaya ( large Asian grocery store)
Thankyou for all work you do!
This was such a wholesome video, watching this made me so grateful I was born and raised here!
You are a beautiful soul and you just shine! Thank you for this great video!
It feels weird watching this sorta stuff when U have been living in the city since u were a kid lol, I’m a teen and I’ve been here ALMOST my whole life
I went to Seattle last year for my 30th birthday. I love the city. I'm going again in June this year
Seattle looks amazing
Thank you for your video, born/raised in Seattle truly a special , artsy , natural place to live & raise a family…🌷🌷🌷
Thanks for the details on which side of the plane to sit on to get the best view when flying into Seattle. Since you use starboard and port terms, for those who don’t know these terms, starboard is right side and port side is left side.
I have lived here my whole live, it’s pretty cool with hot summers and cold winters and AMAZING food!
OMG I love this !!! I just moved to Seattle last summer !!!
This is so nice!
As a coffee-addicted person, would Iike to add some of my favorite coffee spots
Victrola / Ladro / Vivace / Elm coffee / KEXP / Anchorhead (plz try their waffle !) / Armistice coffee etc.
And I'm not Vegan but the Vegan Oat Bar at Ladro is fantastic.
try two kick coffee in queen anne!
I would add Santos Coffee by Green Lake
you should definitely try out coffeeholic!!!
I was born and lived in Seattle for years. My family still lives there while I am away from Seattle as in at Fife Washington for weeks now which is during this month. Things will and do get better.
You deserve AWARDS for this video! SO thorough and helpful, seriously. I live in Bend (down in Oregon) but I'm coming up to Seattle this weekend and this just 1) gave me so many new ideas, 2) reminded me of a few spots I've been to before that I'd forgotten about, and 3) gave me a FRESH desire to move to Seattle. hahaha! Thank you so much! Subscribed!
I have been 1 month ago in Seattle ,beautiful and wonderful city.
I miss Seattle so much.
It’s like RUclips knew I was going to Seattle! Glad to see this while I’m still planning! 😄
No mention of MoPop in the Seattle Center? We love going there and seeing all the neat exhibits.
I’m from Portland Oregon and Seattle looks so much better omg I’ve only been to Seattle twice and I loved it
Thank you so much for this video! Just went this week and tried doing everything you mentioned. It was a blast and can’t wait to visit again!
Can't wait to finally head over the mountains my kids are supper stoked to go to Seattle for the first time for me and my little family were driving Can't wait to take so many pictures thanks for sharing
I wish I had seen this video 3 years ago when I visited Seattle for the first time. Thank you for making this beautiful video 🤗
I’m flying to Seattle from San Francisco California for three days. I hope it’s enough to see all the beautiful stuff Seattle has 🥺😭
Wow. My gf and I were there last weekend. This is such a good video. We wish we could have seen this video before we went.
I will be visiting Seattle with my sister in March for my birthday, we’re both excited.
And finally Canon for some amazing cocktails.
fonda la catrina is SO GOOD, love the georgetown neighborhood
Haha, I miss the Papas con Rajas at Senor Moose.
I've been binging your videos for a while now and it just makes me more excited for my move :) Always looking forward to your future videos Kelly!
how exciting!!! best of luck to you with your move! hoping for a sunny Seattle 4th of July weekend for you (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
Thank you. This is one of the most honest and authentic videos upon Seattle recommendations. I enjoyed it.
@5:53 Ivars also has an awesome sit down restaurant near the Fish Bar.
The Crab Pot located in the waterfront is amazing. As is the Fisherman’s Restaurant and Elliots Oyster House.
Ellitot's would be my recommendation if you are looking for quality. Fisherman's can be okay, but it's been 50/50 for me.
i’ve always wanted to live in seattle
Thank you so much for sharing this video! My husband and I are visiting in August and I'm super stoked and cannot wait.
Hi! it's good I bumped into your vlog, I found it very nice. I was there last year (2023) and seeing your vlog makes me want to go back bec.there are still many places I want to see and experience. Thank you for sharing. BTW, I am watching from the Philippines.
Thank you so much 🙏🏼💖
her enthusiasm is TOO contagious, like Seattle was one city on my list and it definitely moved to the top after watching her videos!!
Randomly came across this video and I’m so glad I clicked it watch! I’m going to Seattle next month and honestly have no idea what to do so this is so helpful!!
Thanks so much for this! I’m in Seattle for work this week and you’ve given me so much to bookmark! Currently at Salt & Straw enjoying some black olive & goat cheese ice cream in a waffle cone. I’m crying.
Locals say I-5, 520 or I-90 without the THE first. I've been here 20+ years and still get as giddy as you do about the mountain. it's sooo beautiful! great video and don't forget to try the Asian food: dumplings or vietnamese or korean bbq or the ofiicial food of Seattle: Teriyaki!
I lived in Seattle 10 years ago and still miss it. Haven’t been there in 3 years, but I’m visiting next mont. watching this video has got me so excited. 🤩
Going to Seattle in July and this video brought back so many memories from the last time I went! So excited visit again !
I'm moving to Seattle for a job and this makes me so excited !!
Kelly!! 👀
Thanks for sharing this video as it's very much appreciated (from Houston, Texas) and I'm jealous you live there! 😲
PS. 😊
John & Rebecca Alves ❤️
Sounds beautiful!!! Especially the flowers, trees and mountains.
Red mill is a fantastic burger place in Ballard it has three locations I like the one near the locks (also a fun spot to check out)
I went to Seattle in May 2021. And I love it!
There’s an amazing mountain bike park under I-5 too! Jumps, trails, tech! Free? Yeah.
This video is awesome, your smile makes it very easy to watch! Thank you.
