I moved from Graham and was looking literally anywhere North of that, Everett down to Puyallup, East and West of all that too. I ended up making a spreadsheet because there were so many options out there, although not all fit what I needed/wanted. It was 94 apartments long which included 40 I was open to & needed to gather more information, 10 I toured, 43 were a definite no-go, and 1 winner in Lynnwood, although many were in Seattle area. The winner apartment had so many positives that I immediately applied the day of the tour. I have to admit, I REALLY wanted out of my place in Graham, like 1yr ago (lol 😩) and the two women I spoke with in the office were absolutely wonderful which is why i jumped on this unit so quickly. They won me over without even trying because they were so genuine. I just moved in on 11/27 and have found some issues that make the apartment seem not as good as when I saw it, but I can see myself living here for quite some time because the issues are very minor and no big deal. I'm happy with my choice and I wish the same for anyone else finding a place to live. Looking for a safe space where you can actually relax is difficult, in a way, but once you know, you KNOW! 🥰
Your channel has become my favorite coming up to our move in January. I cannot wait to get to Seattle and find my fave coffee shops and have actual seasons lol. Thanks for this video!
That makes me so happy to hear! I'm so glad you have found the videos helpful as you prepare for your move! The seasons are definitely spectacular here, although you're arriving during the darkest one! It will only get better from there at least! haha
@@jackbaldwin3649Lived in Seattle for over 30 years and it’s definitely not the same as it used to be. Homeless camps everywhere! Now I’m living in Lake Tapps/Bonney Lake and love it. I’m sure there’s still some nice parts of Seattle. Just not downtown 😢
Thanks! I enjoyed this video a lot! I have lived in Seattle a long time and have been thinking about downsizing to a condo. I’m thinking about renting in my fave neighborhood (lower Queen Anne) to make sure I like it before I make such a big change. Again, this video was excellent!
Eight places ... this must have taken forever to shoot and edit! I worked in a leasing office in Redmond WA for a short period in 2018 and I'll throw in that Nov-Feb is a great time for apartment deals. It's feast or famine in that you may not find much but since no one wants to move in cold weather and holidays, there's often a $200 - $500/month price difference discount. 🎉

I can't imagine paying that much for rent, I'm paying 2350 a month for my mortgage of a 4 bdrm, 3 bath house one a quarter acre in Marysville. This is such a friendly town. So much going on.

Some people want to live in an actual city. For example cities like Burien and Kent are not easy to navigate as pedestrians, as well as the night life within those cities is basically non existent.
Surprisingly enough, some of the apartments looked dated. I expected more for your buck. @@seattletravelguru fair enough! I haven't rented in Seattle in decades- back when I arrived in '91 I rented a small 2bd 700 sq ft house with a HUGE yard for $500. In 30 years maybe you tell your grandkids about how cheap it was in '24.
The managers of these apartments could learn from your video. Lots of things could be fixable, e.g. $3.00/load laundry, and dated carpet (ick). Sheesh. The video was really interesting and fun. @@seattletravelguru that makes sense so you have to choose what’s more important; new build less space or old unit more space.
