Thanks for watching! We filmed this before we did our new Razr drop test, but the old Razr V3 was an absolute tank and not much could break it. Is durability in a flip phone important to you?
Lexy, that was really creative. Alot of us thought we were watching a CNET video of you from 2004. The references at the end were so witty and well-written. MySpace? Yup. That was me in 2004. Love it! Bravo! 👏🏻
I loooooved my V3 so much!!! It was the last phone I owned before the iPhone launched in 2007. It was very difficult letting it go for a new unknown technology at the time. I deeply regret not keeping it though... I will never own anything except an iPhone as long as I live and will be buried with it, but I would absolutely buy the new Razr just to have one. Retro Mode gives me hard nostalgia!
Yea! Someone do please made them into some kind of launcher or something, with D pad and the highlight until the app drawer and you have to press the d pad to access the app. And then modify the keyboard to have a big numeral keys with abcd-es that have to be tapped several times to get the letter like how we used to. I'm not a Boomer yet, I'm still in my early 20es but I really enjoy working with that keyboard which only requires one thumb compared to the qwerty keys which requires two thumb operation.
That's true but it wasnt as popular in my opinion Yahoo and Yahoo answers were mostly known..no one ever said "ask Google for the answer" atleast from where I grew up
I really like this video. It is very enjoyable to watch the juxtaposition of the year 2004 and year 2020 video sequences. What a Visual Delight! Well Done!
No I did not but I had multiple phones on account with att, insurance! I did not buy the newest iPhone but bought a 8 with largest memory! My point is I love iPhones! With that said I’m tired of pay so much for phones! I got a phone plan from mint mobile for 15 a month! It’s t mobile so not a lot of excellent coverage but works for me! I’m thinking about a cheep Android and a WiFi iPad next! I’m by myself and retired so to cut expenses I believe I’ll go that way! Unless I can buy a mini cheep I phone. I can always use magnifying glasses! 😂
I think Lexy Savvides and Michael Fisher were the only ones who weren't so negative towards this phone. If I can live with the bad camera of the original, I can put up with this. Just not for $1500! Under $300, maybe.
I prefer the old razr. Simplicity and reliability without all the stupid screen problems. Honestly wish Motorola would bring back a razr 2 without all the b.s. foldable screen. I'd buy one in a heartbeat
ohh god. Imagine the old Cnet Meet up with the New Cnet Review of this Razr, REally Messing with my Brain now. Especially that infamous 480P screen size and that background and its old PC(s) I used to Dream Motorola Razr as my phone. but its price was able to scare me of. Plus, Phone ( ingenerals) come long way in 16 years. when i was 16, this phone manage to storm the Handphone market
Hi Motorola.. My name erywans and I am deaf hearing... I like the phone Motorola... I am from Malaysia kuala lumpur... HELP YOU... I want to buy Motorola and long time see MOTOROLA ❤️
This is the only phone that even stands a chance to make me get rid of my iPhone 11 Pro Max purely out of nostalgia but flexible screens are a very new tech and im sure it would break fast in my day to day life so ill pass but I hope they keep this phone and keep improving it
The new Samsung galaxy Z flip beats the pants off the new razr. Sorry! I was in a store just a couple of days ago comparing the two, and i left with no doubting which one i would choose. How long before Apple bring out a folder?
Thanks for watching! We filmed this before we did our new Razr drop test, but the old Razr V3 was an absolute tank and not much could break it. Is durability in a flip phone important to you?
Are we going to see the slider phones from TCL?
Question nobody's asking, where is Lexy's patented time machine demonstrated@ 0:12 ?
The best video from CNET I've seen in a while! Well done Lexy!
Memories about old motorola v3
Lexy Savvides That ending though 👌🏼 very nostalgic
Maaaaaaan, you guys tricked me with that fake throwback! Awesome!
I thought it was her when she was an intern and she stayed with the company for 16 years.
I actually thought it was Lexy 16 yrs ago. hahaha
Me too I was wondering why she didn't look any older 16 yrs later
" you can hang up really angrily "
" SO SATISFYING "
Its true though
Haha! 🙂
It was sooooooo satisfying!!! 🤗🤗🤗

Pat4Clippers thank you! 🙌
2004 Lexy Hair > 2020 Lexy Hair

"That's going on MySpace" 😂 Lol
8:25 "What is a Facebook?"
Well, it's like MySpace but better. 😂😂😂
Don't you ever disrespect Tom like that ever again
A Book in a Face xD
To be honest they should of made that old keyboard digitally as your stock phone dialer

The flip phone king has returned
*Long Live The King*
Expensive back then,
Expensive even today..
_Some things never change_
Infinity Devil never for the richs
Lexy is the reason I subscribed. I'm completely drawn in by her charming wit, dialect, great looks, and humor. Bonus: She also does great reviews!
Lexy that wss gold at the end. Nice work 👏
so the 2000s was hoop earrings and fleece sweaters?
グレープフルーツ it’s velour actually, but yes 😃
Yup she did not only that she had on the matching fleece pants aaahhhh those were the days 😊
I love how Lexi said Let's Check Myspace at the end 🤣
Very well done - seeing the 'old' Lexy and the 'new' Lexy - or were they both the 'new' Lexy. Like the twist at the end.
Lexy is cute. I liked what she did at the end there. :)
Imagine traveling back in time w/ the 2020 razr. Lexy’s mind would have exploded
SunnyD watch until the end of the video!
Lexy Savvides lol, I posted too soon.
“I’m going to post this on MySpace” 🤣...well done 👏🏽
I wonder what would be our reaction in 2004 if we saw a phone from 2020😂 we might say it came from 👽
That last bit was epic
Gmail in 2004: Exists
Mid-2000s Lexy: "Goo-Mail?!"
That's true but it wasnt as popular in my opinion Yahoo and Yahoo answers were mostly known..no one ever said "ask Google for the answer" atleast from where I grew up
@@TheFUNkid108 my first search engine I'm using back then was Yahoo
yeah, and when i went to university the first search engine i used was VERONICA with gopher :-)
@@bernhard.herold I haven't heard about that search engine in years, I never got to experience that era
@@TheFUNkid108 we had no idea then how this would evolve
I used to have the old Razor. it had the longest battery life in that period.
8:26 I died at "guh-mail"!?! Bwahahahahahaha! Lexy is now my favorite CNET editor/host!
The end of this video was fantastic! Most of those services were unheard of back then, she had me at MySpace, oh the memories!!
Lol! I thought that was a real throwback!!😂 That's so well edited!! Awesome!!👍👍👍
the only review I needed
I have the old Motorola Razr when i was around middle school, i remeber being the coolest asian kid in class😎.
Just jump form Nokia to that thing before it breaks and go to blackberry and then just smartphones.....
Wow!!!so fun to watch this video!!! End is hilarious 😂
Nice review
cool edit!
lmao, my mom got instant nostalgia after I sent this to her. It was her first phone haha. She has a Galaxy 10+ now.
That older Razr phone does look pretty awesome.
Cant wait to have this phone!
I really like this video. It is very enjoyable to watch the juxtaposition of the year 2004 and year 2020 video sequences. What a Visual Delight! Well Done!
Thank you!
My first cellphone was Motorola KRZR. Nice, sleek and stylish smaller Razor. I did listen music on it through Motorola's headset. Loved that phone...
Motorola V3 still looks like the future, it is showy than the newer one.
That was nice! ❤️
I wish they did the old razr with modern internals, a bit like the 3310, deffo would get one as a second phone.
damn this is dope, i lke that you can add the original buttons
V3 was an icon ... I loved my V60 before it too. Motorola had such style at the time
Loved my old Motorola Razr.
I'm so young I don't even know what VGA cameras or TFT displays are 😂
3:18I just screamed "take my money" and its 23:05 and I have no money. Lovely feature.
I really would like to use mine from 2004 I still have 2 of em it was my 1st cellphone
Brings me back to the memory of dating that female Motorola engineer in Libertyville, IL.
OG razr was definitely in my top 3 owned phones. I love the idea of the new one and probably would have purchased one if not for the absurd price.
@3:30 - YEEESSSSS!! Thank-you for showcasing #THIS!! 🙌 #SavvidesSavesTheDay
#KUDOS on #THIS comparison video!! 👏
I’m done paying $1100 for any phone! They can keep them!
it be $100 next month as another new phone comes out :P
Do you actually pay the full cost of a phone in one payment?
No I did not but I had multiple phones on account with att, insurance! I did not buy the newest iPhone but bought a 8 with largest memory!
My point is I love iPhones! With that said I’m tired of pay so much for phones! I got a phone plan from mint mobile for 15 a month! It’s t mobile so not a lot of excellent coverage but works for me! I’m thinking about a cheep Android and a WiFi iPad next!

K
One is drop proof and the other you would only use when there is carpet on the floor.
Hahaha loved the intro
ωραίο comparison!
Hahahaha "geh-mail" 😂😂😂 that made me lol

Wow, now Lexy is really growing on me.
0:02 I thought the Lexxy Savvides from the 2004 is in the present day until I saw the 2020 Lexxy shortly after.
Oh my god you look younger now
Dem Hoopz!!
Damn....16-years-ago CNET had excellent camera content
Great video 😄😄 informative and fun 🤩
Intern to sr. editor in 16 years👍🏻 :p
Left looks exactly the same 16 years later! Wow! It looks like she hasn't aged!
I prefer the old razr. Simplicity and reliability without all the stupid screen problems.
Honestly wish Motorola would bring back a razr 2 without all the b.s. foldable screen. I'd buy one in a heartbeat
This woman ages like fine wine boi I tell ya
Ok update, the ending really screwed with me lmao
Funny thing is, people in 2020 are putting filters on their pictures to make them look like they’re from 2004 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
Seeing that open Dell brought back nightmares of Pre-Windows 7 IT
ohh god. Imagine the old Cnet Meet up with the New Cnet Review of this Razr, REally Messing with my Brain now. Especially that infamous 480P screen size and that background and its old PC(s)

That’s not a KNeuif, this is a KNeuif!
Are we going to see the slider phones from TCL?
This was genius 😂👌
Ens part is so satisfying...
Hope the new razor 2021 will be slimmer. Easier to handle one handed
Lexy your Hair looks Great
When is this phone going to drop on T-Mobile ?
Will the V3RE still work today??
classic design
This is the only phone that even stands a chance to make me get rid of my iPhone 11 Pro Max purely out of nostalgia but flexible screens are a very new tech and im sure it would break fast in my day to day life so ill pass but I hope they keep this phone and keep improving it
Do they still have flip phone's
Paul Walker yep
Flip phones are actually still huge in Japan
Would've been cool if that was really a old video of her reviewing the old razor
I really want one, but theres durability concerns.
She hasn't aged in 16 years, must be a vampire❗️🧛🏻♂️ 👈😳
🧛♀️
7:28 Sim Card?
Damn I had that thing 😭
The original will always be the best
motorola fans , thumbs up.
I remember 16 years ago when cell phone service worked almost nowhere . I still have crappy service 👍
iPhone pro Max is 220g, Moto razr is 205g ? Little bit heavy for me...

Magic!!!!
I like the part were they gave the past Lexy the new razor that was funny😄😆
This video looks 26 years old...lol
“Guh-mail” 😂
Still use the old Razr when on holiday ,battery time 2 weeks ,no email ,no Snapchat ,only needed for emergencies
$1,500 for a 3 year old specs on a prototype device? Lol and yet people give Apple and Samsung a hard time when it comes to pricing their devices
It's a Z Flip with a better hinge and better external display.
Nice Prank At the End 🙄 i thought it was you 16 Years Before
The new Samsung galaxy Z flip beats the pants off the new razr. Sorry! I was in a store just a couple of days ago comparing the two, and i left with no doubting which one i would choose. How long before Apple bring out a folder?
The external screen makes the phone. Unfortunately, Samsung skipped that class.
V3: V3i? V3i: Yes? V3: how u get out V3i: eeeeeeee
l like that design but not it’s price
el nuevo razr 2020 ho razr2 sim gsm ok lo espero
