I'm not. Moved on to USB type C headphones (on android phones), never came back. No bluetooth or batteries needed. Yeah yeah i can't charge while i listen, but that just means I take care not to let the battery run out while using headphones out and about, before I get home and can charge the phone. If you REALLY want to do both at once often enough, there's dongles out there that enable you to plug in both a charger and usb C headphones to the same USB c port.
@@TrigramThunder Removing a feature, only to offer an adapter to get that feature back, defeats the point. It just adds more plastic waste when those adapters eventually break, and need replacement. Also, many headphones still use audio jacks as their main output, because unless there's a significant improvement between it and USB type C, which I doubt [can't say for sure though], there is no reason to transition.

Dude I have a HTC and I'll tell you something... It sucks money from your wallet. The phone only worked properly for a week and after a week it started overheating and the phone's battery life just died. I took the phone to a friend of mine and he told me that their chargers were the ones who ruined the battery life of the phone. If your going to buy a new phone then do not buy a HTC phone
Blackberry had the best security though on their phones which is why apparently government agencies used them. I think they still might. You can still use a blackberry, they just cut off tech support and patch and security updates, but they still work good. My friend's company phones were blackberries up until the pandemic started and they ended up upgrading and using encrypted communications through an app now.
I used an LG G5 for about 4 years and I loved it. Eventually it just became outdated, but the removable battery is something I'll always miss. After 2 years of owning it, the battery died, but instead of having to buy a new phone, I just got a £20 battery off Amazon than still works to this day (I still use the phone as a spare sometimes).

I LOVED the G5. It felt so cool swapping batteries, like reloading your phone. But, in hindsight it was awful. I had to keep an extra battery with me and charging for my job because my phone would be dead by noon with light usage. Also I couldn't keep a case on it lol.
Same, absolutely loved the LG G5, quick swapping a battery always felt like doing a good tactical reload on a handgun. That part made up for the not so great battery life
I had one from 2016 till earlier this year (2022) when Sprint had to shut down their 4G networks . Never had a big issue with the batteries until I started listing to music throughout the day. I honestly enjoyed just how easy it was to fix on my own, no glue to worry about and parts where cheap. Hell eventually the board went out due to vape leakage and by then it was cheap enough to just buy another G5 and have a parts phone. Almost wish I could've gotten the modules but, I could never justify the price of 'em with how I actually used it
It didn't help that the battery life was bad and necessitated swapping batteries. It came in handy vs the battery being not changeable but a better battery was needed.
@@AnonymityAyeah, I was a heavy LG phone user as well before they went under. Had a G3, G4, G5 and then a LG Stylus as my last one. Probably would still be using it if the sim card internal reader didn't stop working. Since 2020 I've been using Motorola phones and they're pretty decent now, midrange nothing fancy but they work. @PROXY isnt that a faulty battery? try buying a new one if the red led goes off when plugged in, it means its fully discharged so first try leaving it to charge for an hour if you have an external charger, use that just to be sure its not the phone base/phone after that, check the voltage with the written value with a multimeter

No, apple's reasoning was "if we slow their devices down to a crawl they'll have to upgrade to a new device". The blatant *excuse* they gave was battery life longevity. This is much more in line with the type of thing apple would do.
In actuality, this is against Apple’s ideas only because they’re focusing a lot on subscriptions now. There’s always the risk a consumer will switch away from iPhone when they become dissatisfied with its performance, so Apple has actually made an effort to keep iPhones in the running as long as possible, because every iPhone is a portal to Apple Music, iCloud+, Apple TV and all the other subscriptions they’re hoping on being the future for them (phone sales across the board are slowly declining, this is their plan to respond). Still very scummy they never gave you the option to turn off throttling in the first place, but it at least makes some sense?
no the reasoning is preventing current exceeding what the battery can provide, which falls as the battery ages. would you rather have a phone that’s slower but the battery life is still decent and it works, or a phone that when you try to do too much, shuts down with no warning? i think most people would rather have the former, as undercurrent shutdowns would prevent heavy workloads more than it being slower
@@morgan0 , and you know this to be true, how or why? it seems that you assume too much. *shrug* I wud not prefer either one of your options. when people give a dichotomy of only two choices, it is almost always a false dichotomy. i'd prefer a third option: let me choose. duh. but Apple is so horrible in my opinion that i have never had one and i never want a company deciding for me what is best for me. i utterly disagree with their entire 'we know what's best for you' facade.
Biggest fails: - removing 3.5mm headphone kack - not including headphones - not including chargers - forcing wireless charging - punch hole camera's - oversized and underused screen size (notches and punchouts) - refusing to increase battery life by choosing too small battery capacities Basically every smart phone right now
hole punches arent fails, bc it sells well, i had an phone with humongous bezels, regret it, i think that holepunch is cool, bc even you can hide the corner holepunch by special wallpapers.
no headphones is not great I guess but it's no big deal because they sucked anyway I really like the immersion of notches and hole punches and I think they add character to the front of the phone no charger yea kinda sucks but not biggest fail wireless charging is cool and I use it a lot but it's not a replacement for wired yet with the headphone jack I didn't even realize my phone didn't have one until I checked

@@TrigramThunder not for people who want music overnight.. nah, sticking with phones that have headphone jacks.
That's why I like Lg aren't overpriced, and not only has headphone jack, but also has a quad DAC

Same, absolutely loved the LG G5, quick swapping a battery always felt like doing a good tactical reload on a handgun. That part made up for the not so great battery life
It also eventually would swell batteries as the capacitors rubbed from the play. I saw a few of these phones on displays with bubbled appearances.

Good job!
No, apple's reasoning was "if we slow their devices down to a crawl they'll have to upgrade to a new device". The blatant *excuse* they gave was battery life longevity. This is much more in line with the type of thing apple would do.
I feel like apple has to much money to care if you have a iPhone 6 instead of the 13
In actuality, this is against Apple’s ideas only because they’re focusing a lot on subscriptions now.
Would apple want a reputation of devices crashing after about 6 years?
no the reasoning is preventing current exceeding what the battery can provide, which falls as the battery ages. would you rather have a phone that’s slower but the battery life is still decent and it works, or a phone that when you try to do too much, shuts down with no warning? i think most people would rather have the former, as undercurrent shutdowns would prevent heavy workloads more than it being slower
