- I Paid $300 for TWO Broken Special Edition Switch Lite's - Pokemon Zacian and Zamazenta Edition - The first one was in really good condition. It turned on and everything was good after I reset the parental controls so an easy fix there. The second one was pretty rough - stripped screws, no power, broken ribbon cables, and a broken analog stick. However, after replacing the damaged parts and letting it charge up for a while the second Switch Lite was also working again.

Your videos inspired me to start my own projects. First, I fixed my switch's charging port, and then I started fixing a ton of broken electronics I had laying around. This has become my new hobby, and I am loving it. Thanks a lot for your videos man. Keep up the good work!
That is awesome!
I was wondering what kind of person would screw screws in that tightly, strip screws out, and break ribbon cables all in the name of "repairing" a console... then I realized the whole mess had started because they had literally broken off a joystick. They're probably not someone who knows how to handle electronics gently, I guess. Glad to see the console getting the gentle touch it deserved! I hope the new owner takes better care of it.
Yep...people can be pretty rough on this stuff. It's feeling much better now!
It was probably Tyler1. 😁
Probably someone with Anger management problem. Owner must have probably rage quit trying to fix the broken console.
It was probably a literal kid that got angry playing Fork knife.
I'd say it was a combination of desperation and 'it's already broke, so I might as well keep going'! This gives me flashbacks to similar periods from my own childhood
I felt pain seeing that second Switch Lite
I know! Me too!
Glad I wasn’t the the only one 😂
@@Tronicsfix omg hi i look up to u so much
Can't wait to see him take apart the next generation PS and XBOX.
pricey 👀
@@snazzydoggo so many people are making rumors about prices , its ridiculous
I can't wait to take them apart!
but I’m talking about both prices combined
@@Tronicsfix I'm starting to wonder what they're gonna look like on the inside
I see a problem with the first switch lite whoever was using it didn’t have the dark theme on
Dummy, it's a switch lite, not a switch dark.
@@MystinaValeth HA HA HA HA HA thats soooooooooo damn funny
Lol
There is something about this channel that is soothing and therapeutic to me. It's really a pleasent experience to watch often rejected, and degenerated tech have new life breathed into it.
How can people open electronics that badly? Even with the bad tools I have, I probably could do a better job than the previous guy
Ha, ha...ya...idk
Especially in this gen of youtube videos and internet guides, Who doesn’t look up video tutorials on how to properly take things apart without damaging them??
Sometimes all you have is a standard star screw driver and an box cutter, even then I wouldn't have cocked it up like that when those were the only tools I had for opening
@@bingus7361 my tools are a little better, a small screwdriver bits set and a scalpel type knife/box cutter
Because kids.
Just for anyone commenting about the price I paid...as of 8/16/2020 these are selling for $270-$300 each on eBay. I paid $150 each for these so profit will be pretty good when I sell them.

"Woah an image on the screen and turns on" lol.
usually when you buy things "not working / for parts only" on ebay you dont expect it to turn on and work flawlessly.
@@StabStabStabStabby I bought 2 ps3's that "dont work" or "for parts " and both ended up working flawlessly. I was like maybe they didn't know how to turn them on 🤣
@@StabStabStabStabby in the usa people throw away brand new things. i'm not amazed anymore at this point of all the working things that people give away because they're too lazy to look into it to get them working
@@giorgio5789 you mean look into how to turn them on.
It's like a vet in surgery. "My poor baby, what have they done to you?? Let's open you up."
I really love that your paid promotion fits in with the video. So many people just have such off topic things in their video
Looks like they didn't realize that it's a Y wing screwdriver. I bought my daughter the Zacian/Zamazenta lite for Xmas this year. With those used prices Im glad I did.
Yep...it was good to buy it back them! Yes, many people don't have the tri wing bits
Its amazing how much someone can break something in such little time, the switch lite only came out like 7 months ago.
Judging by the way they tried to repair the switch, that person is pretty careless
That poor Switch woke up during the operation 😢
Seeing you fix that joystick makes me remember when I was a kid and would make Franken controllers for my xbox 360 out of a bunch of misc broken controllers
Those screw extractors seem like an underrated tool for something like this. It's a lot easier to strip these cheap screws than most people think.
Some of the screws on these are very tight and easy to strip
You were very lucky with this lot!
Here in Europe, with that amount, you can only find garbage.
Here, on ebay, there are only destroyed consoles, which cost like new ones.
These types of auctions don't come along often here either. I was glad to get them for that price.
that is not true in austria i found 3 switch lites each 150 €
You're amazing man, you were my inspiration to start trying fixing my controllers instead of buying new ones, I've been able to fix some GC and PS4 controllers so far but I hope to fix even more complicated things in the future.
Keep up the great work!
The Switch Lite is such a nice console, love seeing these in your videos. Handhelds in general are so satisfying to see repaired.
Love your videos. It *always* gets me that you put these devices completely back together with screws and all before you even plug them in and test them!! NO WAY would I or do I ever do that!! You are da man!
That's just for the video. I test them a bit off camera first if needed. If I test it right away then people would stop watching right then.
Awesome video, no change from the others! Honestly love the content. Keep it up!
Oooh those are grey drawings on the back, I thought someone had scraped and scratched all over it lol
Yep...they're pretty coole!
me too
How do you keep getting working items, when it should be broken?...this happened in your previous video as well..
Mostly just luck. I was super surprised that one of these worked just fine.
I was just thinking about when another video was gonna be posted until I saw this on my feed! Glad I got my fix :)
Hope you enjoyed it!
Great fix, and easy ones!
Keep videos comming!
I have been waiting for this the legend has finally arrived
I learn so much with your videos, thank you!
My pleasure! Thanks for watching.
Omg I have been waiting all week impatiently finally is out good video
Hope you enjoyed it!
i wonder if the people who break thier consoles ever end up watching you fix them
I often wonder that!
Love the videos buddy. Just wish u uploaded more lol ive watched every console repair video
The hustle is REAL. Good stuff.
That tool kit 👌 definitely the best
Watching fixes like these make me happy, a lot of consoles get thrown in the trash for small reasons that appear to be bigger issues than they are. Wish i had the time and overall knowledge to do stuff like this lol
I would love to buy some and fix them.... If I watch enough videos, I'd be able to.... I love watching these videos
I recently got the ifixit kit and love it! I got the mako because the pro included a lot of stuff I didn't need and was quite a bit more. Love this kit
Every time I watch one of these vids, I imagine the original owner watching it through their fingers like it's a horror movie.
Had some "fixed DS but messed up" flashbacks when you bent the plastic with pliers.
Awesome
Going to attempt this repair tomorrow
Great video 🙂 really enjoyed watching 😁
Glad you enjoyed
I love these vidz they teach me alot about computer's console's and more thx to tronicsfix
Have you tried the hot water and cold water technique for bending plastics? heat the bent part up under hot water from your tap then bend it back and put it under cold water to set it, I use it all the time on old toys and boardgame miniatures.
Now, but I might sometime if I need to.
Love your videos, inspiring and educational. thank you
Something really satisfying even if it's not an advanced fix! :)
Great video bro!!!!
Great channel! With great content!
Love the content Keep it up.
You are are looking happy and healthy, keep up the great content.
Enjoyed watching this one 😍
Omg this is sooo satisfying, can’t explain why, but it is 🥰
Watching your videos is the reason why I’m super careful when trying to repair my own stuff
I love how sometimes you buy "broken electronics" that arent even broken at all.
The second one looks like the analog stick was broken, so they gave the system and a screwdriver to their pet monkey to try to open. It definitely qualifies as an epic fail. I don't see how anyone can fail so hard without deliberately trying to.
just as my insomnia kicked in! a new upload!
Ha, ha...this should put you to sleep!
Wow those screw extractors, I'm sold.
The more I watch your videos the more I wanna fix stuff, there’s no better feeling than finding electronics or get them for so cheap and fix it easily.
Those screw extractors look really nice, I might have to pick up a set.
Wow very cool video now I see how easy it can be to fix minor things and all it takes is a little bit of time and patience. And this guy literally made his money back and profit thumbs up!!
Yes! More stuff from tronics fix
Man I wish they were still selling these, I would totally buy one if I had the money
First things first... THUMB UP for LIKE... and now, settle back and watch... always a treat!
I really liked this edition, and was probably going to buy it but, because rumble was gone and joystick drift was still a thing, I didn't want to have a paperweight until I got a replacement. I have nothing against repairing stuff tho. :)
I have had zero drift issues with mine
Same
Good work dude
Appreciate it
the duality of these broken consoles
-just has parental controls on it
-absolutely WRECKED
Finally 🙌 love the vids
Love this channel
We've gotta get you a better top-down camera (or one that focuses better)! :) That was a great deal - I'm not the biggest fan of the Litle consoles, but my son has the Pokemon version and it looks great. Great time to make a little extra profit!
i hope that one day that i can be able to fix systems like you, because it looks like a pretty cool hobby and i can make some money from it. anyways love your videos and cant wait for you to fix up the upcoming ps5/series x consoles one day.
Thanks! I'm looking forward to that!
Love your videos! try to use some heat with plastic. Usually plastics have memory, therefore it is easier to put them back in place without risking breaking them with force, or create that white marks that mean that the plastic achieved flow and material deformation.
Nicely done I can't do anything this well. I actually striped the screws on my switch. Yeah never using cheap tools again. And then it broke. Rest in peace switch. You will be missed.
Love your videos.
Thank you!
Would be awesome to have an uncle like you.
To straighten up bent plastic cases try heating the area with a hair drier before you apply pressure with pliers or whatever tool fits the job. Do NOT use a heat gun (will melt/char the plastic), a standard hair drier is hot enough and much safer to work with, your target temperature should be around 60-70C (that's just a bit too hot to comfortably hold in the hand but still cool enough that you can quickly touch with the tip of your fingers without getting hurt).
Thanks for this amazing video ❤️
Glad you enjoyed it!
TronicsFix as always ! I enjoy every vid that you make 😉👍🏻
for the games, do you tend to use games that have the fastest load / response time or do you usually just use whatever one you have closest at that given time? nice vid btw
Love your content. Fixing stuff and how you explain what's broken has always appealed to my state of curiosity. But as an owner of one of these systems, and taking very precious care of them myself, seeing them broken, hurts. Lol. Keep up the good content though!
Exactly! It's so hard to see them not working...especially special editions!
What was the most messed up console you have made a video on so far. Btw you really got lucky on that first one with the parental controls on, I love getting those ones because it's so easy to remove it. Got myself a Gray og 3ds with a bad topscreen ribbon cable that will only turn on with a low battery that also had parental controls turned on. Still have to replace the screen and maybe do a shell swap because some of the casted plastic on the top corners is cracked
The most messed up one? Probably the PS4 Pro I got from eBay that the seller just threw the parts in the box. When I got it there were components torn off of the motherboard.
I was so nervous watching you take it apart with it still plugged in :(
My Nintendo Switch Lite has that same design, but it's completely discharged right now. Currently charging it TronicsFix. Everything plays fine.
You’re a great Nintendo doctor.
nice! I've just purchased two "normal" switch lites to fix :)
Just a question.. I'm a new follower... What do you do with it after fixing it???
Your vids are good, I wish people took more care for devices
Hey Steve can u narrate an audio book that would be amazing 😀 your voice is so calming
Ha, ha...I've heard that from a lot of people. Might have to check into that! Lol
I love ur videos man and wish I could have the things to fix my stuff too but can't afford them yet
Another great video ^_^
I absolutely love this epic background song while testing the devices. I just dont know what the name is...
My problem is I have a bad habit of keeping what i fix because I’m proud of my work.
I can't stop watching his videos there so adicting
I just realized, I need those in my life
Where did u get the battery meter from as I’m looking at getting one
Amazon...I've got a link to my Amazon affiliate shop in the description. You can find the one I bought there.
You have tons of this on eBay, literally for few £-$.
TronicsFix cool thanks would this work for when fixing phones when repairing
@@gavsphotography im pretty sure it does it just measures the voltage so
@@gavsphotography It just measures V/A, time etc on +/- lines of USB. Whatever device is using (a passthrough basically, but cheap meters like this sometimes make fast charging or proper USB connection a problem).
Yoooo there sooo nice love the design cool special eddtion
"I'm not gonna replace the thermal paste." Blasphemy.
Crap...it's about time for me to do that on a lot of my electronics.
Did that with my ps3, works like a dream. I would recommend to do it with any consoles that are overheating.
It would be cool to see some vintage console repair Atari Colecovision ect.
It is okay that I watch these even though I don’t repair anything
Your the best fixing youtuber
great work bro ur awsem
Man that second one, I hope my own Zacian/Zamazenta switch lite never looks like that. Planning on it being my first and only switch.
Nice fixes, before you sell them Vince did a speed test. You should try that too and see how all three Switch models compare. 👍
My son has one of those, bought it brand new in March for 200€. Works great... save for the left stick having the infamous DRIFT every once in a while.
It must be serendipity that I found your video right now as my OG 3DS and New 3DS have those pesky stripped screws and I was almost on the verge of buying a specialised set of removers that kind of need a power tool to work. I may still buy them but in your experience, how well do the ifixit ones work?
