Thank you very much for that demonstration 👊🏾bless your heart 🙏🏾
This is amazing! it stops for objects that are beside your car so you don't hit those either, I never knew it did that. thanks for making these BMW safety features straight to the point
Sure! It only works when you are in reverse gear though, just so you know!
And you need to enable it in the settings under car -> driver assistance -> parking and maneuvering -> emergency brake rear -> emergency brake side
Does it really work? Or you need to have the active parking assistant for it to stop?
@@Amtm-1 no, when your are reversing at slow speed it does it when the System is detecting an accident
@@Amtm-1 and yess it works well, especially when you are reversing slowly
Thanks for sharing. Cool 😎
Pleasure is all mine.
It’s really cool systems. 👍
It is! There will be an even more extreme test soon!

Indeed
great video!
I would like to know if the carton is at the front bumper side and car is moving forward, is it gonna stop automatically like it was during reversing
thanks
The car will always brake when it's in reverse gear, even if the obstacle is at the front. When you drive forwards, the car will not brake.
This is great, thanks for posting! Does the 1 Series have any Tesla like features when driving in traffic or on highways - e.g. auto steering, keeping you in lane autonomously, and keeping you at a constant speed / slowing down or speeding up, adapting to traffic?
Also: do you have a manual or automatic, and how are you finding it?
Hey! Yes it does have adaptive cruise control, which means it can automatically keep you a safe distance to the car in front etc. It also has a passive lane keeping assistant which means, it will push you back into your lane, but not keep you in the middle all the time.
You need a 3 series or above to get level 2+ autonomous driving, it's called "driving assistant professional".
I have tested it and it works really well, it even detects traffic lights and stop signs and stuff!
I have a 7-speed automatic in my 1series and I strongly believe that you should always get the automatic version of a bmw. It's faster, more efficient, it shifts absolutely seemlessly and it means that you can for example use adaptive cruise control even to a complete stop :).
Hope that helped :)
Oh and the adaptive cruise control also recognize speed signs :)
@@robertmuller-uri7370 thank you! I had a manual 118i M Sport on order but luckily have managed to change the spec to an automatic and added the driving assistant functions above too, without losing my build slot! Great advice, thank you :)
That's a good decision! Have fun with your new car then M8!
How can I activate this in my BMW X1? I have parking assist option included. Can't find the emergency breaking option in idrive.
Sadly, the X1 is too old. The new X1 that was Just releases will have that Feature. The old one doesnt. Im sorry ;)
I have a question, i recently got the 128ti, just wondering if you know how the front collision warning works when driving on the road, because im not sure if mine is working properly or whether it needs to be closer to trigger? any help is appreciated!
Yes. So I can tell you basically everything that you need to know. If you mean the "normal" front collision warning, you can set the warning distance by pressing the button next to the Hazard lights and then select forward collision warning and set it to "early". You will see a red symbol in the instrument cluster if there is an imminent collision risk and if it is a really acute collision risk, the car will apply full braking force and it will beep at you. I can show you everything in detail on my one series: hit me up on instagram: @robert.mlu
It does NOT!
My Fully loaded 2022 X5 can't even brake for a Trash Can on my driveway,
Well. That's obvious. The collision Warning recognized Cars, pedestrians and Bikes.... If you want the Car to Brake while manouvering For Others stuff, Go to Car settings car->Driver assistance -> parking -> emergency Brake rear/Side!
Then itll also Brake while parking....
A System Not Designer to Brake For trashcans will obviously Not Brake For trashcans....
It does not. I even took it to the dealership and they said it’s not designed to stop for a trash can on the driveway. Please fix this rather than trying to justify this.
Thinking of getting the 1 series in the misano blue, how does it hold up in everyday use?
Definitely! If you have questions, let me know!
Rear-cross traffic warning for pedestrians automatically stoped or not?
The cross traffic warning can only brake itself on bmw 3series and above. For 1 and 2 series, it's only the warning.
How do you rate the car? I am thinking of buying this exact model ( manual )
Thanks!
I Love it, its really good. But Automatic Transmission is better in my opinion!
@@robertmuller-uri7370 cheers mate !
new tesla model 3 highland standart range or bmw 1.18 m sport ( jully 2024 f70 coming out it will not full change but improving like highland)
The BMW any day. Quality is much better, customer service is much better, driver assistance will be much better.
Get the BMW haha!
Is there anyone to install emergency parking braking feature after market?
That's Not really possible because you need the parking Assistant which uses more and different Sensors. So you'd also need new bumpers and a Brand new Software for your car
Maybe ask your local BMW Dealer If He knows a workaround
How do you activate emergency braking?
You need to have parking assist equipped. Then go to settings -> driver assistance -> parking and maneuvering -> active PDC and there you can turn on and off the braking intervention on the side and rear independently
@@robertmuller-uri7370 thank you i just found it
