- For the first time, EVER, ALL 3 of the voice actors for Ed, Edd n Eddy make a historical reunion and chat with me on this special episode. These guys were and still are a piece of my childhood that I look back on so fondly. These dudes act like they never missed a step. This was a magical and historical moment and I am so thankful I got to share it with them.

im not a HUGE fan of reboots, but this podcast has really solidified that a reboot where they're all adults could totally work based off these personalities

I think if a new season were to happen, it would start with an episode that takes place before the Big Picture Show, followed by one that takes place after. My prediction for the one that takes place after the Big Picture Show is that everyone gets grounded and everything goes back to normal. I also predict an episode where the parents officially appear for the first time. What do you think everyone's parents would be like?

The thing is though is that Danny is not the biggest fan of reboots. He didn't like the way the Peanuts Movie by Blue Sky, the animated Addams Family Movie and the upcoming Popeye movie by Genndy Tartakovsky were rebooted. This is what he had to say on Facebook in May last year:
"This is the ugly reality of the American "corporate animation industry". The constant shoddy reboots of proven animated properties. Which will only end when the corporate pussy hollywood HACKS stop supporting the raping of the art form I love. Leave it alone! Develop, produce, air new work, ideas, properties. Be an artist, CREATE, Assholes."
In fact, when someone made a fake proposal to reboot Ed, Edd n Eddy, Danny replied "What a load of shit, get a life".
And incase you have forgotten, Danny did have four C's to making great cartoons:
1. CREATE (…new territories through art not technology)
2. CONTRIBUTE (…to the art form, not rape it for cash!)
3. CHALLENGE (…everything currently being done)
4. CHANGE (…don’t redo, copy, or repeat)
So yeah, there's a 99.9% chance that Danny would not approve a reboot to the Eds if it ever happened. Even Craig McCracken, the creator of Powerpuff Girls admitted that his girls have overstayed their welcome.
When Tony said that he would do the reboot if Danny was behind it, it melted my heart. 😢

No reboot. Ed Edd n Eddy does not need a reboot. The show ended on a perfect note.
Tony Sampson retired from voice acting years ago because of the production place where he used to work at threaten to blacklist him of his acting career all because of a modest raise

Words can’t describe how much I fucking love seeing the 3 Eds back together again, even if it’s virtually. It’s like seeing my childhood return, and it warms my heart. Matt, Sam, and Tony are the epicest trio.

I noticed that too. The show has to be based on their childhood. I mean, I liked the show because when I was a kid, I identified with it. There was even a cul de sac where some of the neighborhood kids would congregate. There was a family of trashy girls like the Canker sisters.
It's insane I never saw them before and I guessed who voiced who before they even spoke!

Ed, Edd, and Eddy always seemed to be the modern day Tom and Jerry to me. The characters made out of rubber, the simple ( but often explosive) plot lines, and even the music felt similar (though obviously not exactly the same). The show is great, and I hope it continues to be discovered over and over again.

Alex Pruitt: On one hand, I'm also curious what the Eds did at the beginning of Big picture show. But at the same time, I feel it's one of those "noodle incident" things. No matter how absurd, insane and/or violent it was it'll never live up to the audience's expectation. Meaning it's better for it to remain ambiguous.

I've always hoped that, with Double D's hat, he's hiding some surgery marks. It would just be the ultimate mood killer. Imagine the conversation between him and Ed:

Agreed, it was Cartoon Network best show ever! Show got me though high school.
Each Ed voice actor looks like their represented character when they get older. Ed’s looks like a 40 year Ed a little silly looking but gentle only with Double D’s beanie. Double D’s voice actor has that same wide smile with a gap in his teeth, & Eddy’s voice actor is bald, short & stout & has that laid back attitude like his character he voices. Lol it’s funny how each voice actor looks exactly like their character, at least in my opinion

I really love how the actors mimic each others' characters, just like the classic episode where the Eds switches between themselves ''Mirror, Mirror on the Ed''.
I guess they enjoyed shooting that episode so much that they still basically play the game between themselves to this day. Really cute!
I remember when I watch Baby Looney Tunes I remember when I heard Baby Daffy voice and I asked "Why he sound like Double D being Eddy?" and it's actually Sam Vincent the voice Double D voicing Baby Daffy Duck. He also do the voice of Jerry for Tom and Jerry Tales.

Haven't seen a comment mentioning it, but the weird question "Why don't birds just take a bus south for the winter?" was an Ed quote from when he was in Eddy's bed while he was trying to sleep after he ate his lava lamp. Ed'Edd'n'Eddy was my favorite cartoon growing up, I still remember Cartoon Cartoon Fridays and getting overjoyed when I saw that the Eds were going to be on, especially after getting home from grade school. There wasn't anything else like Getting a cold Caprisun and sitting my ass down in front of the TV to watch them, it was like a slice of heaven I swear.
Not to say that the other cartoons on CN were bad, but if the Eds weren't on I would of rather been outside playing lol, Seriously though, I'm so happy to see them again after all these years Thank you for this amazing opportunity that you were able to share with us.

FunFact about Double D’s Voice Actor: He voiced SONIC THE HEDGEHOG!!!! in Sonic underground there were singer voice actors and he was one of them.. I would never put Double D and Sonic the fucking hedgehog together lol

I was born in '93, so I grew up with the show since day 1. I gotta say, I cried at the end of the Big Picture Show. I remember getting home after school in the early-mid 2000s and turning on Cartoon Network. When Cartoon Network was actually good.
Cartoon Network has always been good my friend.
The different eras might not always be what you’re looking for, but I think there has always been bright spots in all the different lineups throughout the years

This is amazing, and I love that each voice actor honestly could play their live-action versions of the Eds if they really wanted to. I would love to see this show do a comeback, where they could actually have the Eds full grown, I think it could honestly work, and be amazing!
