  • Apologies for the cheesy title on this video but, we couldn’t think of anything more fitting to describe what we’re going through right now. Also, did you know there is a Six Flags in Mexico?? So buckle up, put your hands in the air, and get ready to scream with us because we’ve got some major news to share with you today.
Six Flags México is located in the Tlalpan forest on the southern edge of Mexico City. It’s the largest and most visited theme park in Latin America with 2.8 million annual visitors.
We’ve only ever been to Six Flags Great America near Chicago so we might be making some comparisons, but let us know what kinds of similarities or differences you notice throughout the park.

Jenny, you can't pursue legal action, there is by law a 90 day probation period for any job in the US, they decided you were not a good fit for the job, for whatever reason, you have no damages you can prove either and the fact you were in Mexico makes it even more complicated, no way any lawyer would take your case ... the boy needs to get a shoe shine box and start working right away! .. move on and stop being such a loser, get another job, don't feel so entitled, you're in Mexico for Christ sake, over there if you don't work you don't eat! ... you want to live like Americans without working, and in Mexico ... SMH!

My heart hurts for you Jenny but please remember you did not lose this job. The job lost you. Every single time I’ve lost a job, something hugely better came to fill the void. For now, do the things that make you smile and feel peace. The answers will pop up at the perfect time

When I had just turned 50, I was a widower with an 8 year old. I was laid off and frankly scared, didn't know how best to continue in the Health care industry. You are a crossroads as I was and the not knowing how its going to turn out is the scary part. That was 7 years ago for me. God put a beautiful woman in my life and in June we will be adding a 4th member to our family. I'm at a hospital with 2000 employees and proud to say I was Employee of the year in 2023.
You have each other and the King of the Universe is calling the shots. God has you. You will be fine of that I am sure. Two talented people who love each other and trusting in God you will not fail. Praying for you here in Vestavia Hills, Alabama today. Cheers!!

Wow, I'm glad that you are doing well now despite that tough time 7 years ago.
We don't usually mind not knowing what's' next. It's the "plan we had has suddenly changed because someone pulled the rug out from under us" that has us shook. We truly are lucky to have each other ❤️ thanks so much for your kind comment and prayers 🫶🏽

This phrase is true but what is often left out of this phrase is that in between one door closing and another opening is a hallway. Don't let the hallway scare you, let it be a time of reflection to allow your true desires come to the surface. Then when that other door opens you will know if you indeed should walk through. I have been in a very similar place to where you are now. You got this!

Watching your coverage of Six Flags in Mexico was a blast. It's so cool to see how they keep the festive spirit alive with Christmas decorations, even in January. The way you highlighted the park's resemblance to different parts of Mexico was fascinating and now I'm super curious about Six Flags in other countries and how they differ.
On a more personal note, we're really sorry to hear about your job situation. We can relate to that feeling of uncertainty and the challenge of balancing RUclips with life's ups and downs. Back in 2021, we faced our own set of challenges - Martin had just moved to the USA, I was demoted at work amidst the chaos of COVID in the travel industry, and our channel was struggling. Looking back, it's a wonder how we made it through, but maintaining a positive attitude really helped us push through.
We've learned that every curveball life throws at us eventually leads to something amazing. For instance, just last year Martin lost his job and it seemed like a setback at the time, but it led to an even better opportunity we wouldn't have explored otherwise. It's tough to lose a job, but your positive outlook is inspiring. Trust me, in a few months, you'll see the bigger picture and why the universe guided you this way. Keep up the great work and stay positive - amazing things are on the horizon for you!

@TouristtoLocal muchas gracias amigos 🙏🏽 You always know just what to say, Juliana! I'm sure I've said this before but you two are a huge inspiration to us in so many ways.
I'm glad that Martin ended up in something better! Someone else in the comments said "rejection is redirection" and I definitely think that's what this is. It's heartbreaking that my supposed "dream job" turned out to be nothing close to it and then taken away from me when I tried to advocate for myself. We're definitely feeling more positive these days, over 3 weeks later, and looking forward to what the future may bring ✨
Also, we've decided we're sticking to our lease, so you have until August to visit us in CDMX! Aquí tienen su casa, se quedan con nosotros. Let us know if you can squeeze in a quick weekend visit sometime 🤗

Getting to know you both these years, I I just don’t think the journey is over yet and can’t wait to see what’s next ❤ On another note Jenny, what is the name of your health condition? Hey Marcie, thanks so much for your kind words 🙏🏽 you’re right, it’s definitely not over yet!
I have fibromyalgia, which is a musculoskeletal chronic pain condition with no known cause or defined treatment. It’s thought to be related to the nervous system, or autoimmune.. there are still many unknowns for it. But for me it’s triggered by stress, good and bad stress. If you suspect issues like that I’d recommend consulting a rheumatologist.

As an American myself I'd feel so comfy talking a nice walk / tour with you! And let's be honest, Mexico doesn't get the best press here in the US, so Gringos would pay $ to have a personal guide 😂. There's a guy on Instagram that gives people tours of the markets in Tepito and another one that will help Gringos out to navigate the sky cable cars. Good luck !!!! I know everything will work out!

Well, you haven't spent the last 22 years studying the Bible and abiding in Christ like I have, you got your ideas about God from watching TV or Oprah probably. John 14:6
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. ”Acts 4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.@@EatBailaTravel

You have now become REAL Mexicans! As a Mexican, I say this with a kind heart. Each day, for most of the population, the fight is real for even the most basic needs. Mexicans have heart and are true "Luchadores" who create, fight on, find a way, do whatever it takes, to get paid. Lose one job, you get another or you create one. One dream is crushed, you dream on and move on. Be nervous. Be upset. But...Be Mexican! Fight. Create an income. There is no 10 count for a Mexican. We get up and we go on. You got this.

The struggle, the hustle, we're well-familiar with that so this is definitely minor compared to past experiences. Still, it's an upsetting situation, but we know we will get through and come out of this as better mexicans ;) thank you!

Oof, that sucks. But I'm feeling like things will work out positively in the end. If it were me, I would assess the number of other job opportunities in CDMX. If there are good options, stay, apply, and complete the lease. If there aren't too many in your field, calculate cost to break the lease and move to a more affordable location vs staying in the city for the contracted time. Go with what feels right. So sorry this happened, but you will come out of this a stronger person.

That sucks dude. I guess first weigh your options. What jobs are available where you are at, start applying to see if any hits. I would start seeing what your saving situation looks like and see how long of a buffer you guys have to make a decision. I would then see what are the ramifications of breaking the lease is it worth it or can you stay the year with how things currently are. If you can't and need to make a decision quickly, start thinking of your options of where you can move w/ your current budget and start planning it out. Possibly even start thinking about maybe getting a roommate to see offset your costs.
Take a deep breathe and just think things out to see what options are best for you guys.

very sad that your "dream lob" hasn't worked out. if you're not finding another job that meets your dreams there in CDMX, perhaps it is time to move on. if a timezone change would be compatible with Kevin's remote work, i've suggested in the past a Spain sojourn for a couple of years - at least 6 months each, making EBT videos there to get that Spain passport - with more options. if that interests you. [it'd be awful if you later decided you wanted to do that but, the option had ended - a variation on what happened to me with Belgium]
