- On October 7th I made my return to Six Flags Magic Mountain to ride the park's 20th coaster, Wonder Woman Flight of Courage, and took Sophie to the park for the first time in 2 1/2 years to get some new credits for herself.

Every time you question Sophie, she always takes a minute to gather her thoughts.

It’s always cool seeing coaster enthusiasts in the wild, especially when they’re filming.
I know the feeling of returning to a former home park. I always love returning to Six Flags St Louis. It’s so nostalgic
My partner and I are at some point going to have to move to London for his job. I can’t wait to do Blackpool as a tourist (we’re planning to do that before we move). But not being jaded at BPB will be awesome.
For me, it’s Darien Lake where I grew up. Carowinds is now my home park, but it’s fun to go back to Darien Lake.

I’ve got a niece who’s too small for coasters and another niece or nephew on the way. I can get the Gullivers World credit with at least one of them, and introduce them when they’re older. I’m sure their parents will thank me.
My daughter is just not a coaster freak. She thought mine trains were fun, but I took her on the Yankee Cannonball and that was too much. Now she basically doesn't ride them.
It is fun to ride things with her for the first time but for a lot of them I'm nervous if itll be too rough or intense

I appreciate Sophie's coaster takes. Twisted Timbers is the superior RMC. Also I went to California for the first time last week, picked up 30 new credits, and managed to tie Sophie's credit count. My favorite coasters at Magic Mountain were Goliath, X2, and Full Throttle.

Fellow Viper fan here. People just don't appreciate how great it is. I agree that X2 is almost a perfect ride, if not for that last raven turn. I clasp my hands behind my neck for that element, which works every time.

I want to go to Magic Mountain so bad... then again, I want to go everywhere with a roller coaster, so that's that.
When you ran into Coaster Studios, I immediately thought of the film "Twister" when the fancy news team had a run-in with the scientists - led by Bill Paxton, Helen Hunt & Phillip Seymore Hoffman while chasing the same storm. 🤓

We took my kids to Magic Mountain in April. They were 10 & 8 at the time and both wanted to ride X2, but only if we thought they could handle it. Immediately after our first ride, we knew there was no way and went back to our hotel. We did a second day at Magic Mountain and took my 8 year old to ride Magic Flyer (he’s a credit hungry little monster) and then he decided that despite our warnings he wanted to ride X2 next…I kid you not. Still think it’s wild it only has a 48 inch height requirement. However, it was very memorable to go from watching him barely squeeze into the front car on Magic Flyer and then immediately beeline for X2. His enthusiast energy puts me to shame! My 10 year old decided to put X2 off for another visit, so my son is extra proud of the credit. Plus, he wore his Airtime Thrills shirt I bought him for Christmas on the ride. 😊
The shirt gives him extra powers for sure...and i try to keep sophie from the ultra extreme or bumpy rides so X2 will have to wait a long time for her
@@AirtimeThrills That’s a good call! To be honest! I spent 15 minutes trying to talk him out of it. The year before he was too scared to go on Steel Force at Dorney Park. 😅 Since we live in New Hampshire, I think he had too much FOMO to leave a credit on the table he was tall enough for, especially since he couldn’t ride anything with a 52 or 54 inch height requirement our entire California trip.

I have rode Wonder Woman about 6 or 7 times, one in the front, one in the back, and the rest in the middle of the train. I would have to say that the back is the way to go for the ride. You get some nice ejector airtime (yes even with the shoulder straps) on the first drop, drop off the turn around, and the midcourse. It also give you nice airtime (not quite ejector level) on all the hills. Its a pretty fun and long ride.
Also gotta say that wonder woman at night is pretty good, but Apocalypse ran rough and stapled me (I have ridden Apocalypse plenty of times in the past to know how good the layout and ride experience, but I think I just got a bad ride on my last visit) Soda Springs was one of two or three open soda stands during Fright Feast. Just like you, the food in the back of the park was closed. I just Six Flags Magic Mountain has not been in full swing lately.
The talk of rmc making family coasters the larger raptors are actually amazing family rides. It’s a solid coaster I enjoyed jersey devil
I've hit your channel for the first time in 2018 when I was looking for information on Magic Mountain because, for the first time, I would visit it in 2019 (and I did), and that was a dream coming true for me(I live in Brazil) . Since then, I came to love this place and probably felt like a child when I first went there (I cherised Sophie's experience). Since my visit I started to watch all your videos and through then I feel like I'm somehow returning to the park, and that makes me feel so good. Hope to be back in a near future. I visited Magic Mountain a week ago (visiting out of Europe) for the first time in 5 years and had a great day BUT I was soooooo disappointed in how the park is run. On opening, 10 rides were closed. Most of them opened only in the late afternoon. Viper, Scream, Riddler and Apocalypse never opened. Batman, Full Throttle and X2 only had one train running resulting in long waiting times, despite there wasn’t that much people in the park.
A lot of people in operations also give the feeling that they’re forced under gunpoint to work there. They give a very bored and uninterested impression. We visited Cedar Point a few weeks before and the difference couldn’t be bigger : most employers there seem to enjoy their time there and hype you up. Operations are glossy smooth and even when everything was almost a walk on on Friday, they still had three trains running.
It really gave me the feeling that Six Flags doesn’t want you to do all coasters more than once on a day. Do they think you come back more easily when you’ve spent more time in line then you should and couldn’t do everything in one day?
On a side note : I love X2 as coaster, but I had one ride on the back of the train and the shaking made that ride very painfull and unbearable for me.
You are literally the only coaster youtuber whose vlogs are actually entertaining, keep up the good work!

I love X2 and agree the backrow is the best but I think the front is more then worth riding as well. There's an insane burst of airtime you get on top of the first Raven turn you don't get in the back and also i think the fly to lie has more sustained airtime in the front. The drop is so much better in the back though. Also I agree it's definitely weird to see the park so empty on Fridays. Sundays weren't too busy either when I was there.

Haven’t ridden the single rails at all yet but based on video, I would presume Lasso Courage (that name is staying forever now) and Jersey Devil won’t feel as whippy with their larger elements, making the best restraint less of an issue. Looking forward to getting up to Magic Mountain to try it

Surprising they are running at such a low capacity on some of the rides on a Friday night during Freight Fest. It didn't use to be that way. It is always good to go back to your old home park and see how things changed. I have Wonder Woman third in that park behind X2 and Twisted Colossus and just ahead of Tatsu. It's a back row ride for sure.

I’ve been on Wonder Woman a few times since opening, and I think it’s an awesome new addition to the park. MM has a good balance of both legacy and pushing the envelope, Wonder Woman compliments that second side well!

Same. If you ever see it with any empty seats that generally means you can get a back seat ride. I still haven't rode the front sadly after riding it about a dozen times.
I was by crazanity and saw a guy holding a red angels hat on his head while riding in the front seat, it was kindof hilarious because it looked like he was saying "oh sh*t" the whole time.
Crazanity was really good about a month ago. It got a new motor a few weeks ago and isn't running at full power right now apprently

To be honest, I like Wonder Woman more than Twisted Colossus. Mostly just for the restraints. Yeah the shoulder straps are kinda annoying, but the restraints on Twisted Colossus dig into my stomach in the worst way and makes the amazing airtime painful.

SFMM top 5 gotta be, Twisted Collusus(green side is better just bc of the stall), X2(last raven turn hurts but if you brace you'll be fine, full throtle(why counldn't they make it a bit longer), Tatsu( Solid ride, defintley on of the best fliers), goliath(kind of fun bc of the hight and speen but no airtime and the midcourse kills the pacing, the helix is fun)
I actually agree with Sophie that the green track is better on twisted colossus. I think this mainly because of the green high five moment and the weird airtime hill after the stall.

I haven't ridden the Teen Titans Turbo Spin since it was called something like the gravinator. I loved it then as a kid and would still ride it now but in my old age the second I saw it I immediately thought of that Family Guy scene. Then you played it. Great coaster minds think alike. 👍

When I came for WWFOC opening day I got 15 rides in, and at least 11 of them were back seat rides! It’s the better row on the ride imo, But Finally! We finally got a single rail AND a big camelback worth mentioningI’ll take it even if it’s not like the compact versions, it’s good!

my favorite spinny swingy thing is the one at discovery kingdom. its not as tall as others but there's something about it... maybe it spins faster? the upper end of the swing, if you're on the top edge, is way more intense than on other ones i've been on.

My daughter is 6 and almost 48 inches. Can’t wait to go to Hershey park next year and try it out. In terms of six flags, disappointing to see the reduced trains and food service. I wonder if the lack of new rides chain wide has more to do with staffing versus not wanting new rides. Curious to see the next quarterly call and attendance numbers

I rode Twisted Colossus for the first time in the summer during my 30th birthday trip and it was running so much faster. It was pure crack it sucks it’s so danm far of a walk. I usually make X2 my first and final ride because I’m always to tired to walk all the way to tc.
so bizarre that I keep traveling to places the same time as youtubers. I was at magic mountain for the first time in 15 years last weekend, so I was there the same evening as this video. saw coaster studios there on sunday. also keep finding youtubers at halloween events in CA and FL
