    Did I just spend almost an hour watching someone effectively scribble on paper? You are good!

    Missed this when you posted it. We’re polar opposites- I’m a lefty with a very light touch and messy penmanship, and struggle to write small enough. Takeaways for me: experiment with other nibs instead of spending big bucks on other stylii…

      Good point. I just swapped out the remarkable felt nib for the plastic POM nib from Lamy and I love it. 8$ upgrade, that'll prolly save me money in the end, and feels better to me.
      Thanks for the comment.

    Supernote FeelWrite 2 film + Lamy + Titanium Tip is my solution. Great comparison. Thank you for sharing

      Ooohhhh, okay... Titanium. Now I gotta try that. Thank YOU for sharing, lol. ✌🏿

      @@rantsabouttechnology Well, that's a different story. Titanium nibs work for some but... They're not recommended by any manufacturer for 2 reasons. First is that they may damage a screen or screen film (something like Supernotes' ceramic nib). Second is that they may damage the pen itself - example being Brandon Boswell video on his remarkable pen with titanium nib. You have to write really light for it to work somehow

      Yea, I can't get down with that. I'll try to stay away from the metal if I can but it's been hard with all the recommendations coming in.

    🙋‍♂️Hi Roderick! I mentioned this before on one of your previous videos, I could be mistaken. Anyway, I was somewhat happy with the Note Air 3C screen and the felt tips were not to my liking. I added a screen protector and added a titanium nib to my Lamy Al Star EMR stylus. It is just what I was looking for since I don't push hard when I write, the feedback I get is perfect to me. I have had no issues with latency or screen clarity, in fact the glare is lower with the screen protector film which is great. After months of use, there are no scratches or wearing noticed, so all good here. As always, kudos from NYC.🗽

      Thanks for the Lamy update. I do find that it writes a bit lighter with the plastic and, now (shhhhh...) Ceramic nib (video coming soon). But as time goes by it's been getting better. So maybe it just needs to settle. ✌🏿

    Great video helped a lot. One thing I was confused on was the different pen recommendation for the Tab mini vs the Note Air 3C. They both use the same screen and technology. What made you choose felt for the mini and POM for the 3C?

    • @rantsabouttechnology
      @rantsabouttechnology  3 месяца назад

      Hello, and good question. The screens on those two devices are different. The Tab Mini C has a slicker surface than the Note Air 3C. The NA3C has a rougher writing surface, so the POM nib works better than the felt I choose for the TMC. Hope this helps. Thanks for stopping by.

    Thank you for sharing this, looks like supernote with the ceramic nib is the way to go, or potentially boox with ceramic supernote pen...
    Trying to decide on Boox Go 10.3, supernote a6x2 or the a5x2 coming... Looking as mainly a notetaking device. Supernote a6x2 ranges $648-739 AUD with the a5x2 bound to cost more.. where as the new Boox go 10.3 is $575..? Decisions decisions... I typically write on paper with a fountain pen, love writing cursive... Not sure which would be best in this case, just have far too many journals and would like to write and have everything in one place, with search functionality across all my journals/books. What would you do? Thanks!!!

      Hello, thanks for the comment. I see it like this (and Im actually planning this video, so spoiler, lol)... If you want a paper replacement, just something to replace paper, get the SN, there's nothing better. If you plan on doing anything else, get the Boox. Only get the reM2 if you need a note-taker with a professional look.
      Lemme know what you decide, I'd be interested to know. Take care.

      Thanks for the feedback. For note taking would you suggest smaller A6x size or A5x/go 10.3?

    • @rantsabouttechnology
      @rantsabouttechnology  3 месяца назад +2

      Get the bigger one the A5X or Go 10.3. I'd only get the smaller size if you just want a desk notepad replacement, which is pretty much all I use mine for due to the size. GL

    I do know that each tablet has its own niche but I have to say that overall the SN is just superior to its competitors in pens, tablet and software and I dont even own one!
