I love mine - I used to have a notebook for each type of meeting/project - but then when pulled into last minute meetings I would grab the wrong notebook- and I get distracted easily- so for me, this works perfectly!!!
This! Plus I'm a world champion at misplacing my stuff and this always lives in my main backpack. Just makes the life much easier :)
I really like this review. I have seen so many reviews for products that I feel like are solving problems that are not really problems. I don't care that I can't multitask, search, copy paste, etc on paper - that's why I like paper. It forces you to slow down and be intentional. I have ADHD so any kind of digital device can very easily destroy my productivity.
I still don't think the price is justified for me, as I haven't run into the same issues you had with paper. My pocket notebooks haven't gotten out of hand, but I've been using them consistently for like a year.
This really does look like a great device. I've seen one in person (not actually used it) and it looked great.
Totally agree the price is fairly high for what it is. It did however became part of my edc replacing other classic notebooks as it has simplified my life.
I absolutely understand the ADHD part - not a big fan of the recent fake ADHD social media wave of “influencers” claiming it’s some special power… maybe, because they don’t have it? It’s a massive PITA in everyday life. Took me 30 years to understand I have it and another almost 10 to start managing my life around it. And having people adjust their expectations to my attention span too 😂
If pen and paper works for you dude, it’s for the best! And thanks for the kind words 🤙🏻
I love your accent dude. Ive just ordered one for my note taking and poetry. I like simplicity.
2:55 - please make a video of you setting fire to the ReMarkable 2 please? 😂😊
If you'll Venmo me for a new one I'll do it 😂
I ended up buying an iPad just due to the crazy cost of remarkable, just couldn't part with my hard earned cash for that price. I know people say it distracting etc, but hey I can watch movies, I can edit videos, I can draw and paint etc
Totally get that. I always have my MacBook with me so that's sorts out the comms, editing etc. Remarkable is a very specific device and yes, the price is defo a sticking point. Loads of used ones kicking about... usually used just a few times.
I love your video. The best. I wish you unbelievable success.
Fantastic Video! You have a new subscriber! I ordered the Remarkable and returned twice hoping that the my IPAD m4 would finally “feel” good writing and now I am thinking getting this again 😢 - I just wish for 2 additional things - a little more connectivity to the Apple ECO - for example connecting to Apple Notes - why I drop links to multiple resources (website URLS, word Docs (without importing etc.) AND the ability to take notes on Kindle Books - Ahh First World Problems! 😂 Thank you for the Video!
iPads are great too, I've got plenty of friends using them as notebooks but RM2 just feels much better to write on. Totally with you on tapping into Apple eco system, integration with Notes would be fire! Same with Kindle app!
Do you rate the new Remarkable Pro?
I’ve just bought a Remarkable 2 (after seeing your video). The Pro is heavier and I wonder if the battery lasts as long as the R2.
Anyway, I’m enjoying my R2.
Hey! I've just ordered Remarkable Pro to compare. The battery is larger but it lasts about the same as it needs to power more power-hungry screen. Plus the weight is a trade off too, I like the R2 due to its form factor and effectively being much lighter and smaller than iPad Pro. I don't really need colours for note taking but we'll see. I'll definitely drop an honest video comparison towards the end of the month when I'll spend enough time with it to form an opinion.
@@JakeOski thank you. I am very satisfied with my new R2 also. Simplicity! 👍
Thank you for this video!
Glad it was helpful!
First off, thanks for your video clip. I have watched many on the remarkable 2 and Type Folio.
I would just like you to tell me a number between 1-10 (10 being awesome)
Is this device good for writing short stories/chapters?
Thank you.
Thanks Steve! It's hard to quantify usefulness of this device - as you've seen from one of the comments, "most stupid things you can buy" and you should just use pen and paper 😂 For me, this has replaced all my notepads - so it's a 10 just as a tool for taking notes, annotations, scripts, mocking plans and risk assessments on site as I don't have to worry to much about dropping it as I would with an iPad Pro. I'd just fish for a used one to test the waters, this way you can sell it for the same price as you've got it if it doesn't suit your needs.
I have a question, I would like to receive and advice from you. I am an engineer, I am 24 and I just started working (in an internship program).Usually I work both in the office and field, I am following activities like civil work, piping and pipeline and also some QC. Do you think is worth it for me to get one? Also I need to learn a different language besides so there are a few reasons but I want to hear your advice
Can't answer that for you bud, remember that there are no additional apps for this so an iPad Pro might be a better choice?
Great review! Useful, real world details.
Thanks :)
Unlimited budget what is the best device for writing to text
Depends where that writing needs being used later - for my use Remarkable-like devices are spot on but I know that it's not the same for others.
What is the android interface experience like any idea?
No clue, sorry, I don’t have any android devices to test. I assume it’ll be about the same as iPhone
its just too expensive :/
You can easily find used ones for half price :)
The most stupid things you can buy!! You want the feeling of pencil and papper go and buy a pencil and a notebook for 2 dollars🤯
What a stupid comment
It's about having the freedom of paper, but still have some of the benefits of digital.
Copy/paste, undo, layers, a file system, tags, zoom and panning, etc.
@gerrya2133 lol
Going to take a wild guess you did not hear a thing this guy said in the beginning of the video..
@PumpUptheJam81 wild guess you probably bought one lol..
