This is a solid "why buy it for 10$ when i could make it myself for 1000$ and 40 hours of work?" 😂 Aka everything in my entire sewing cave and each one of my hobbies.
Lol, fair. But you can't buy this combination anywhere. I've actually thought about making a bunch and selling them. Unfortunately, there is no ceramic nib stylus on the market other than the one I've made here.
@@rantsabouttechnologyand that’s the unfair part! I want the combo to exist, but alas, I’m here watching you struggle because I’m about to buy a ticket for the same struggle bus. I’d buy two from you!
You're in luck. Due to everyone wanting that pen, I'm gonna make a few for sale. haven't come up with a price but I'll let you know when I do, if you're interested.
Made a post on the community page about the pen. Making a video about it tomorrow just to make all point on the pen and the sale clear. Thanks for showing interest.
🙋♂️Hi Roderick! I went and purchased a titanium nib for my Lamy and works great. I was thinking of using the Supernote ceramic nib, so It's good to see you have done it. Kudos from NYC.🗽
great job. very interesting to watch the procedure. 👍 concerning the thin line of the lamy. there is no active part of the technology inside the actual tip/nib. so it doesn't matter what tip is inside the lamy pen. the pen itself sends details about thickness etc to the tablet. the manufacturer decided a certain characteristic for the device. so if the lamy has a thinner stroke line, then its something they decided for this pen/model and it will be present with any tip. the tip is just a passive part to give a certain tactile feel to the writer, like smoothness on the display etc.
Damn!!! Thanks for the lesson my guy! That's super interesting and something I've speculated about but wasn't sure. Then that's what it is then cause the Lamy definitely draws thinner lines than any other pen I've tested. That's what's up man. Thanks for stopping by.
After watching your whole video, I had some thought. I think you could make those kind of how-to-do videos more dynamic by showing the “writing test” part (or the result part) at the beginning, then get into how you did it.
@@siggysanutube I don't know but I have noticed some other functions (see my video on multiple tags, links, headings, etc.) that were either hidden or maybe they are doing phantom updates. :-)
Hey, do you have any experience with those Titanium Nibs you can find on Amazon? I am wondering how they compare to ceramic Nibs. I've been using Titanium Nibs for a while but was wondering if there is a difference in writing feel between Titanium and Ceramic
I just ordered them, and will try them out when they arrive. But I have not tried them yet. Everyone seems to like titanium so I gotta give it a try. If you try them before I do, please share your experience. Thx for the comment.
Oh very cool, sounds like another Nib Face-Off is coming 😊 Yes, been using Titanium Nibs in a used Kindle Scribe Premium Pen. The feel is very nice compared to Felt Nibs, on the Boox Note Air 3 it reminds me of a hard Fountain Pen Nib on coarse paper if you know what I mean
why do you have ugly handwriting for someone who has convinced me he supposedly spends countless more hours than a normal person utilizing writing instruments like these?
LMAO! I think it's for the same reason Doctors and Lawyers have notoriously bad handwriting. We just do it so much till shortcuts start to develop that sort of transform your writing into your own personal shorthand. Shortening a line here and there, dragging the tip of the utensil, all done to save time. Lastly, my brain runs 10 miles a second (or 16.9km/s) and I have to capture thoughts and notes quickly. I've just succumbed to this style over time, unfortunately for anyone trying to read it. Cause when you write as much as I do, and I do indeed write a lot, it's not about etiquette. Now, writing is about documenting, as quickly as possible. I hope this answers your question. I couldn't stop laughing at this question, the whole time I wrote this response. Thanks, I needed that!✌🏾

Same here. One year with the titanium and no looking back. It's the best writing experience I ever had, including traditional pens and paper
Yea man, once I saw it was possible, I had to try it.
You don't say?? Everyone's saying that. It may be time to give it a try.

Nice. Mulan in the Reddit Group mentioned that SN is working with Lamy now on creating ceramic nib Lamy.
Hello, I saw a post from SN on the topic, that said the same thing. No word on when though :(
Omg, do you happen to have a link to that?
@@kallaway1 Unfortunately it's no longer in my history :(
But, it was a post from an official supernote account, so I took it as legit!

I like the way you are thinking. Quentin Tarantino it up a bit. Good idea, thx!
@@rantsabouttechnology yeah, was thinking about him too 😊
Great walk through. I love the Supernote gestures but they take some getting used to from my experience.
Thanks. And yea, Someone in the comments told me they work better when the gestures are swapped. I'll try that.
I feel fortunate that I haven’t had any troubles with the Supernote gestures. Wonder if they have made some changes lately?
