    I'm 100% with you on this. Love my Supernote because after the initial learning curve it is just so easy to use and just like carrying around an infinite stack of paper.
    I also love the handwriting search in real-time recognition notebooks which is super quick and I also have a great fondness for the company behind it particularly their policies on sustainability and genuinely listening to customer feedback which is something no other manufacturer does anywhere near as well. I don't often feel a sort of emotional connection with manufacturers but I do with ratta supernote and truly want to support them in their vision and see them succeed.

    nice reasons. Personally i would have included a 4th reason : the capability of creating links inside handwritten text that link to other pages and other notebooks. This is a killer feature for me that i have too much information sparse in many subjects.

    Two things more to mention in my opinion. The headings feature which allows table of contents in notes is unique and very powerful. And talking about the "quality" of the device and the cover mention the HOM pen as an very unique and very special one is also necessary. By by saying that I totally go with you that the supernote is such a fantastic daily driver.

    I'm tempted by the Supernote. The main thing making me hesitate are the rumors there might be a larger A4 version coming out in the near future.

    • @jeffreymoss
      @jeffreymoss  11 месяцев назад +1

      I didn't hear about that. I know they are looking at revised A6X and A5X models that can run Linux or Android and have a removable battery, but that's about it. Which is not to say an A4 isn't coming, that would just be the first I'd heard of it.

    Good Morning, I'm going back to revisit the SN, do you have any video of the Google integrations that they talk about on their website?? Gmail they mention sending handwritten emails, is it just an attached pdf?? And they mention Google calendar integration, I'd love to actually see how that works, and it's capabilities!! Do you have any idea if those type of integrations would translate to say a Proton Mail / Calendar system, in case someone is considering a break with Google??
    Have a Great Day!!
    PS I really think I'll be a holdout for the A5X2 format vs A6X2 version

    • @jeffreymoss
      @jeffreymoss  2 месяца назад +1

      I haven't done that, but that's a good idea for when I review the A5X2 (whenever that will be). I can say that I tried a handwriting response to an e-mail and it comes back as an image in the e-mail response, not an attached file. The file can be saved as a PNG.

    • @jeffreymoss
      @jeffreymoss  19 дней назад +1

      Fairly well. My cursive has become quite sloppy, so it picks up what is reasonable given my script. But it will be heavily dependent on the quality of the handwriting.

    Great tips on Supernote. I hadn't used Quick Access, now I can see it can be used. I love the quick access to "current note". Do you also use nomad as well as A5X?

      Not really. While the A5X is my most used device, I really don't use the Nomad at all.

    Thanks for the review. Is it possible to open and edit google sheets documents? For myself spreadsheets and reading pdfs are the only two features I need. If no is there any other spreadsheet app available that will do the job for the supernote ? Thanks.

      @jeffreymoss  11 месяцев назад

      I'm not sure how to do that. They discourage sideloading and their app store currently has one app (Kindle). About a year ago I saw a post where they indicated they were working on a more robust app store. No ETA on that front that I am aware of.

    Thanks for the great video. I've been very tempted to get the SuperNote cos of the software features, but the huge price tag for the plastic design is not compelling compared to other alternatives in end 2023. RM2's industrial design definitely matches the price tag.

    • @jeffreymoss

      I agree that the Supernote is nothing to look at. But with a good cover and premium stylus, along with the functional daily use, the form factor gets quickly forgotten.

    • @annvoy7698
      @annvoy7698 9 месяцев назад

      The plastic makes it much more robust than the glassy Boox devices, whose screens tend to be more sensitive. I always use a thicker neoprene sleeve for my Boox Note Air incl its case and I place it carefully next to a book or similar into my bag, while with the Supernote I don't even need to think about how to chuck it.

      My first eNotetaker was the Boox Note Air. The Supernote was the device that ended up replacing that, mainly for the star-marking feature. But the Note Air was an incredible device that I used for a year. Lots of great memories in discovering that device. I'm super excited to see how the Note Air 3 C performs.

      @@memori365 Supernote runs on Android, but you wouldn't know it by using it. They have layered a proprietary interface on top. There are very few apps for the Supernote. Kindle is one of them, but I'm not sure what else. And yes, the Note Air 3 C will be a colored Eink screen using Kaleido 3.

      This and the front light are probably what are going to have me gravitate to the Boox. I use Libby and Pocket heavily.
      As for the front light … I like to read in the dark and not bother my wife. And I don't want to have to have perfect lighting for my writing.

    features are only secondary.
    If someone wants features he or she must get an Ipad.
    The reason to buy E ink is writability. On Which device one can write at the same look and feel of real paper writing and print it to look like it it is written on real paper.
    1st look and feel like writing on paper while writing.
    2nd Printed papers look like they were written on paper
    3rd look the same on computer screen .
    Those are the main traits and it seems just them alone is not a simple task for any E ink device. So before talking about connectivity ans searchability lets talk about tge basics ( the 3 points) which are alone are not obviouse and are super important..

      I'm very interested to see how the new eraser function works and how that stacks up to the two-finger style of the Supernote. But has Boox done anything to match the star-marking system? I don't see it yet, but if they have something comparable, then that might change things.

    How is the Supernote for reading ?

    • @jeffreymoss
      @jeffreymoss  10 месяцев назад +2

      To be transparent, I just don't use it that way as I'm 100% focused on notes. It does have the Kindle app, the only app available last I checked. I suspect that works fine. I loaded a PDF, just out of curiosity from your question, and that was an easy experience to load and navigate the file. It has a half page setting which automatically goes into landscape mode and allows for reading without having to pinch and zoom, and of course allows for annotations. What I found interesting about the PDF is that the UI for the app was only slightly different from that of the notetaking app, which is a notable departure from Boox where the notetaker and reader apps have similar elements but operate fundamentally differently. That's a plus for the Supernote as there's less of a learning curve there. I wouldn't want to read PDFs on the A6 version, as that screen would be too small in my opinion. Hope that helps.
