Hi Sean, found my way here from only plants. Great content as usual. It’s always refreshing to experience how real you are with your sharing, most you tubers try to create a RUclips persona, but I find that you simply share who you are - the good, the bad and the ugly. We admire the good and learn from the bad and the ugly and that is the way life should be. Thank you for this.

New subscriber here, and I am binge-watching your videos starting from your Shanghai vlog. Thank you for sharing your story. I learned a lot from it! Your never-surrender and resilient attitude is inspiring. Also, I like that your videos are straight-forward, narrated with a calm voice, and have positive content. Unlike other channels that rely so much on splashy intros, trite gimmicks, and fluff. Wish you even more success in 2024!

I have come to learn is that we can only live day to day, and not compare myself to others, who have been more successful at a younger age. I used to always feel down about not being at the same level as my peers. Now I feel like I am successful in my own way, I have experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today that no one can take away from me. I got my first house at 36, when most of my peers had theirs in their 20's. I like to think of success as the story about the rabbit vs the tortoise, some people get success early on, seemingly without effort and some slowly build an empire. you're building an empire, no matter what happens in this world.

I am actually going through the same thing at my home where I'm wanting to move out so badly but buying a home is way out of my budget and finding a good place to rent is also a struggle... I'm saving for a house and hopefully by next year I'll be able to move out... I can imagine how nice it must feel to live on your own and be financially independent! I see that your artistry, whether it be in fashion, soaps or plants, and the abounding knowledge you must build to produce and market each of them with persistence and heart...that is the gift you bring to those markets. I.E. I have been amazed at the knowledge of plants you've amassed in such a few number of years (as compared to my decades), in the plant world. You have an eloquence and ability to describe the current and anticipate the future. Be careful, don't get burnt out. Take it easy and enjoy what you have.

Love this view into your life, Sean! I'm a soap maker too! I'm also a crazy plant guy, trying to make it work as a business. It's crazy out there lol. I agree with you that being successful doesn't mean making lots of money. For me, my success is measured in my level of happiness. I might not be able to afford a huge house, expensive cars and clothes, but I have a happy life for the most part. Before my dad passed away, he told me he was wrong to teach me to work constantly. He said that looking back on his life, he realized how much he missed out on, and how unhappy and stressed he was. He made me promise him to seek happiness over vast sums of money. He said that happy memories are what you think about when you begin the dying process, and that you need to make sure you've created lots of them so that you feel no regret. It was so weird to hear my dad talk like that, because he never stopped working and hounding me about working constantly too. Granted, j know we have to work to survive, but I think it's important that we also work at something that brings us joy first, money second.

Sean, we all have our individual paths so we can't compare ourselves to anyone else. You keep comparing yourself to your friends and what they've achieved or what they've got. I sense you feel you should be where they are and that there's a regret to not be like them. We can't compare to anyone else bcuz our choices, experiences, our learning lessons are completely individual. Please don't compare yourself to anyone bcuz what's meant for you will come to you and not what was meant for others. Personally, success comes from learning, and what kind of person you become and what you share to the world from inside yourself. Some people are so poor that all they have is money. Be someone you can be proud of, not someone everyone else needs to be proud of. Enjoy your journey. You are amazing. Congrats on your new home!

I believe success is what we feel within ourselves, our own happiness and contentment but that is not always so easy to achieve with so much peer pressure in the world.
