- So recently I got my buddy John Welsh hooked on JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Before starting Part 3, I showed him a bunch of Stands from across the series and had him guess their names and powers. This is the final video, part 5 of 5, which is, confusingly, about Parts 7 & 8.

Considering SBR's religious accuracy in regards to the fact that many sects of Christianity do believe Jesus went west after his resurrection, I don't think Araki would just not think about that.

After binge-watching all 5 parts of these, you can just hear John slowly losing his sanity whenever a stand is shown, explained, or told their names. He never says much, but just each gap in stunned silence is like "of course it fucking is" and just him face-palming out of frustration just rubbing his temples.

Diego Brando I wouldn’t go that far. I mean think about it, when the climax of part 6 is recreating the universe and in part 7 we’re suddenly in a different timeline, and every part before has led into the next, then yeah lots of first time or casual readers will make that mistake.
@@elijahwilensky3318 It really isn't hard to realise that the two universes are not connected. Why would there be a new Brando family, a new Joestar bloodline and a new Zeppeli family participating in a horserace in ~1890, while the original timeline had already passed the year 2000 in Part 5?
@@Leon-gu1cc well, Jolene and the other cast have different names in the restarted universe, which means that clearly SOMETHING was different in the past of the now restarted universe. But yeah, it's a different universe, it's relatively widely agreed upon by everyone who knows about Jojo.

“Be a Man” is actually not a terrible stand name for Hotpants. Also, flesh grafting is a thing, so you could safely move around someone’s flesh for healing with Cream Starter; it’s not that far fetched.
Also Hot Pants herself says that Cream Starter uses Flesh only when she goes past its capacity, implying it refills itself after some time or something like that

correction: Civil War does NOT merely make you feel guilty, its just that it summons things you've 'thrown away and they will try and merge with you and coveer you in a suffocating film, which seems to work much more strongly if you feel guilty about it. Guilt is not what causes the Stand to take effect, merely the act of 'throwing something away'.
But you have to feel guilty about throwing it away tho. Funny Valentine is able to kill Axl without bringing him back because he doesn't feel guilty about shooting him

I know this is from a while ago but the reason the stand user isn't resurrected is because Valentine doesn't feel guilty, however, it isn't because he doesn't care but because he wanted to protect Johnny so he doesn't feel guilty for killing in defense for someone else. That's why Axl doesn't come back, also because he was an enemy soldier back in the civil war (Confederate) and Valentine was part of the Union so he probably also felt as if he was just doing his job as well.

The dinosaur isn't the stand though, that's just Diego as a dinosaur. The actual form of Scary Monsters is kinda humanoid but forgettable and appears for like three panels, I'll give you that, but stil you can't really show its power and say that's the stand's appearence...
I'm gonna have to disagree with you here... kinda. Now I could be wrong in reference to the stand's original user, Dr. Ferdinand, but in the case of Diego, who is the user for the majority of SBR, the stand is bound to him though the Left Eye of the Saint. So technically he is both the stand and the effect (though you'd be right to call me out on the image I used as it's from the stands first appearance when the user was Dr. Ferdinand). there are other stands like this: Earth Wind and Fire, Achtung Baby, Tubular Bells, and Paper Moon King. The first two where the stand has no physical form but we can see their power and the latter two being stands that manifest in objects when altered a certain way. Scary Monsters is like a hybrid of those two concepts. If that makes sense. Now Dr. Ferdinand is certainly up for debate, though I can't find the humanoid form looking through those chapters again, I could be mistaking it for the ton of dinosaurs on the pages, but for Diego given what we see and how he got the stand, I stand by what I said (pun intended) But thank you for the comment, it made for an interesting bit of research.

While it's debatable whether Diego is actually the user and the stand changes appearance, I didn't really want to go into that since it's never stated inthe manga.
I'm just surprised no one seems to remember that the stand even *had* a physical form. Still, I appreaciate you showed that because the Dionosaur look is sick. Plus, I too like Diego and Scary Monsters a lot.

How the Spin works:
Lesson 1: If you have the will, then do it.
Lesson 2: Work those muscles.
Lesson 3: Believe in the Spin.

Lesson 5: The shortest route was a detour.
And if that doesn't make sense, then it's just spinning things just perfectly so they escape normal physics and start generating their own energy through spinning; not only sustaining their rotation, but also being able to exert excess energy onto other objects. I really wish Spin didn't die with Johnny, because I feel like it had a ton of creative potential compared to Hamon, especially with how it was already shown to have 2 schools of use (Zeppelli and Wekapipo).
Also, Act 1 is Nail Bullets, Act 2 is creating mini blackholes on impact, Act 3 is allowing Johnny to use those blackholes to Portal(TM) himself, and Act 4 is I N F I N I T E E N E R G Y and the ability to make anyhting that gets punched Spin at an atomic level, essentially permastunlocking targets. Act 4 is definitely nuts, but Act 2 is where it goes from "Okay, neat power" to "Okay, this is Jojo's" imo.

Outside of that, literally all it does is encourage Pocoloco to push his luck. My guess is it was originally intended to actually be able to predict the future but Araki decided to scrap it(or just forgot about it) right after the first time it gets used

You know Cream Starter didnt use spray without absorbing flesh first and Araki didnt forget, right? U can see in one of the chapters where "it doesnt have to absorb flesh" the user absorbed her horse's Flesh

it might've meant that there were none in PART 4 specifically. part 7 took place in the 18 century, far before DiU, so maybe someone did have one, but they died out before DiU happened.

I really like how John commented on how he pretty much expected the creativity put into the Stands.
If looking at Jojo's Bizarre Adventure series, it really takes a lot of creativity to think of the stuff Araki came up with for the Stands and how the Stands can be applied in such ways that wouldn't really be an orthodox way to go about things.
