I'm a long time user of cheap knives, even OTF versions. When I got back into OTF knives and discovered the premium-priced Microtech, my initial reaction was they are grossly overpriced and even if you can hammer the blade through a titanium bank vault door, who really needs that kind of durability! Well, as I suspect happens with all who get serious about OTF knives, it wasn't long - or many "budget" OTF purchases before I just had to bite the bullet and ordered a MT UTX-85 in distressed red with apocalyptic, stone washed D/E blade for an amazingly low $255 shipped with taxes tacked on. While awaiting it's arrival I watched - again, the various torture test videos and knew I had made a good choice. Upon receipt, I opened the box and there is was! I wasn't too impressed with the distressed finish because I tend to enjoy the "new" look, but it does eliminate any worries about that first scratch! Everything else about the knife is top-drawer in all respects! It really does "feel" superior to any and all low-end blades, looks better, and something not often addressed on videos, is surprisingly light and compact for the length of blade it throws. It also has those massive blade locks set into precisely milled recesses, and the quality of the steel is evident. My UTX85 came with the 204P steel blade which I understand to be right up there with all the others.. So, today I took the plunge and ordered a full-size Ultratech with 3.4" blade in Merlot, but not distressed this time, with a D/E blade...more expensive at $308 but now that I see first-hand what that represents I don't consider it expensive at all! Hell, everything in Benchmade's lineup is $400 or more, so the Ultratech "family" of knives is really a bargain for what you get!
Agreed, great review. I recently got the same exact Ultratech with the m390 steel and I wish it only cost me 265. Mine was closer to 315. That being said, excellent product. I too kept my fingers crossed hoping I would not get the slightly softer elmax for those same reasons and got lucky with my D/E m390 blade.
@@thegunpenguin thanks man! I appreciate that! My Ultratech should be in next week some time. Super stoked about it, and your review was the final selling point for me.

Good video! I just got the same knife as a gift and had no idea about the difference in the steel. I don’t even know which steel my blade is. I’m also shocked at the price you mention. Wow! I guess my son in law must like me.haha... I do love the knife. Thanks for all the info.
I just bought a red Ultratech S/E black blade and it came as M390. Terrific knife, strong action and very well made. $310. Btw, I emailed the seller prior to purchase to find out what steel mine would have, so I knew it would be M390.
Subbed/Liked. Both my Ultratechs (UTX-85/UT-B) both had M390 steel blades, the Combat Troodon I picked up came in Elmax. I'm not sure the differences between the 2 steels, but I think they are very similar and Elmax losing by a hair.
Much appreciated! Elmax is still a fanstastic steel, it just dulls slightly faster than M390. But, it's also less brittle. You've got some nice Microtechs!
@@aaronfriedmann2488 lol a microtech is not 1000$ there 275$ and the way microtech heat treats there elmax steel makes it one of the best elmax treats than any other company’s elmaxs
I have a Microtech Ultratech Tactical S/E as my edc knife. I carried a Fox 599 karambit as my edc knife for a few years. The 599 has the Emerson Wave feature that deploys the blade when you pull it from your pocket. So, it's technically faster than an auto. But I like my Microtech.
@@thegunpenguin the Emerson Wave feature is absolutely perfect for rapid deployment when drawing. The 599 is absolutely ridiculously sharp. I owned it for a total of 5 minutes before it gave me 3 stitches. It was my "SHTF" knife. It was so scary that I quit carrying it because it has no practical application other than life or death self defense. That being said, it definitely one of the coolest knives in my modest collection.
I'm glad you did too. Don't get me wrong -- Elmax is an outstanding steel, but 204P is incredible. I've got a ton of M390 Microtechs and 2 or 3 made of 204P, and it's wild how long they stay sharp. That Elmax Ultratech seemed to have substantially shorter edge life. I'm glad to have a 204P twin.
Haha! I'm not laughing at your stitches -- instead, I'm laughing at how cool it is when you find a knife so sharp that it's sort of scary. And I know what you mean, knives like that, you feel weird using them to open a box or something equally pedestrian. How do you feel about the CRKT karambit with the crazy folding mechanism? It looks wild too. What color is your Ultratech? I've got a green S/E with a black blade, and I'm trying to talk myself out of a satin S/E with a black handle. The classic!
I like them both! I don't like the bayonet blade as much as the dagger or the single edge, but it's certainly great, all the same. As for the finish, I personally prefer the look of the satin, but the stonewash is just as beautiful, and some folks prefer it. Here's another way to look at it: The dagger blade shape is best for personal defense, but less useful for tool talks. The bayonet and single edge are better for tool tasks, but less suited to defense. However, the single edge and bayonet can still be used for personal defense and will work just fine, while the dagger will struggle with work jobs. Does that help?
There are many fake Microtechs but they will never compare in quality of the real ones. I have collected them for years and adding more when I can afford them. I enjoyed your review.
It’s 4am on Christmas and your video was my first gift of the day .! Glad to see your back. Only thing I can say is looks like a great knife other then the servicing aspect. Maybe they should intergrade some kinda sharpening stone in the handle and it keeps the edge fresh every time it’s opened/closed.. I mean pampered chef does it with their kitchen knifes sheaths. And if get my ass handed to me if I bought a $250 knife 😂. I buy cheap knifes cause I’m going to break them and or the chemicals at work will eat it up
Merry Christmas, and as always, it's great to hear from you! Haha as per your advice, I'm going to stick sandpaper to the inside of the running track. What's the worst that could happen, right ? But seriously, the lack of user serviceability kind of sucks, and I was super pissed about the Elmax substitution. Do you have a specific cheap knife that you love? For the last 15 years or so, I've followed your model, and repeatedly destroyed those CRKT Crawford Kaspers; I want to say I'm on knife number 6. But man, those Crawfords are hardy! Do you have big Christmas plans, or are you having a quiet one?
thegunpenguin brand wise. Nothing particular. More of the $5 and under from bud K. No real plans. Kids done did their thing and are playing with their electronics and I’m sitting here dry firing 🤣😂 just another day. How about you guys
That's the way to do it, with something that's $5. Usually, I can find those CRKTs for maybe $15-18 on Amazon, but even that seems high for something that I'm using to pry metal or pull out wood staples half the time! What are kids into these days? It seems like they like games more than toys. Hell, I would've wanted the cheapest knife from BudK when I was a kid! Sounds like you're doing Christmas right, keeping it low-key. We're eating too much, and are probably going to watch old movies. I've got to mix and master a record before the end of the week, but I don't fancy working on Christmas.
thegunpenguin well all of them but one wanted red dead redemption 2 and I agreed. That game is visually pleasing for me to watch lol the oldest ( 15) is on his way to a naval cadet 9 day training he wanted to attended. The boys got some auto assist folding knifes last year for Christmas and guns. One got a .22lr. Lever actionThe other a 9mm carbine ( Henry and hi point). But you’re right mostly games or cards to buy games online. Kinda sucks tbh makes the tree look empty underneath. We got ribs cooking in the instapot it’s our tradition to be untraditional 🤣
@@drewcifer2a Crockpot ribs are crazy good! In my opinion, that's a fantastic new tradition. Also, I've heard that game is really cool -- I'm very interested in that one myself. The Henry .22s are VERY cool. Man, I'd love to have one of those for Christmas myself!
First movie was an Ultratech, second one was the larger Combat Troodon, third one was the Cypher. In the 4th movie he has a new OTF by a different company called the G&G Hawk Deadlock. It's called the Deadlock because it is the first OTF that doesn't have any blade play. Unfortunately, the Deadlock is way more expensive than even Microtechs at over $1,000 (some over $2,000) and there is apparently a waiting list to even get it. I'm hoping for a cheap Chinese "knockoff" like they did with Microtechs.
Glad I stumbled upon your review man. Great review I like the approach u take! Researching my first MT currently and it's looking like the ultra is gonna be the route I take. Keep doing what your doing brada just subbed up for the latest 👍
Thank you, my friend! The Ultratech is definitely the place to start. If you order from Mike at Southern Edges, you'll know you're getting the steel you want. He labels everything carefully, so I've switched to only ordering from him. Other retailers screw it up.
Much appreciated! There are many more Microtech videos to come.

Loved the review from start to finish, but it left me with a question. I'm waiting on a Microtech Ultratech OTF Custom Variable - B from Natty Outdoor Store that cost me $120. Am I looking at a counterfeit?
Thank you for the kind words! I took a look at the exact knife you ordered, and unfortunately, it is definitely a counterfeit. Sorry for the bad news. There are more than a few people selling the Chinese fakes these days.
Sharpening your knife properly will not void your warranty. I use a Lansky system to sharpen my l u d t, the action spring broken recently and I sent it in for warranty and it was no problem
If you sharpen the knife correctly, you don't void the warranty, you're right. My complaint in the video is more about the wording of the warranty, as it was in late 2018. And Microtech has since updated the wording of the warranty in the two years since I made this video.
@Peter I can't remember where I got this one, but I buy the vast majority of my Microtechs from Southern Edges. Mike has the best selection around. Though, you'll have a hard time finding this exact configuration -- it's extremely popular, and like all Microtechs, they don't make many of each color combination to keep them desirable.
I'm not going to say, because I was so critical of the retailer in this video; it's never my goal to hurt a retailer. However, I will tell you where I buy all of my Microtechs these days. I only shop at Southern Edges because the steels are always listed correctly, and Mike is a super nice guy!
I have an HK-branded Hogue OTF, and I like it, but I can tell MicroTechs are superior. Just haven’t taken the several-hundred-dollar plunge yet. Thanks for the review!
@@FL-Kaiman it’s fine but honestly it’s usually just my weekend knife, not my beater, so I don’t use it much at all, and I really can’t give you a confident answer on it one way or the other. I’m sorry I know that’s not helpful.
You can sharpen them without voiding the warranty, but it's not advised if you don't know what you're doing. The dagger style blade is a tough one to sharpen properly, and along with the high quality steel, likely M390, you need the right tools and technique in order to do it without screwing up the edge or point. A whetstone/sharpening stone from your local hardware store or Home Depot will only create problems because they aren't fine enough. You'll need professional whetstones, at least one 1k grit and one 5k grit, and sharpen a few starter knives before you even attempt to sharpen these blades on your own. Remember these aren't kitchen knives, the steel is much, MUCH harder to sharpen. Knife sharpening is easy to learn but also easy to screw up. Their blades are great from the factory, but often lack a razor sharp edge due to mass production. Honestly, most people who get these blades will be disappointed with the sharpness of the blade. First one I bought was an Ultratech and I immediately wanted to send it back because it simply wasn't sharp enough for me. Aside from the sharpness of their blades they're flawless; the steel retains the edge very well, the edges are perfect, and the ergonomics are as well.
The issue with Benchmade is they use d2 alot and you can find many 40 dollar otf's using D2 steel for the blades. Heck even the Chinese clone microtechs use atleast D2 for the most part haha so if your wanting an otf that can handle anything you throw at it then microtech knives are it. I have a huge knife collection and I've never seen an otf auto that can be pounded into a 2x4 like a nail multiple times and still work perfectly other than the microtech knives. Just look up reviews where they do the nail test on them and you'll see. Microtech blades come razor sharp they are all hand ground. And you don't void your warranty when servicing your microtefh knife. It literally says you are allowed to open them up and service them. They want you to service them but they do prefer you send it in for sharpening. The opening up warranty section only voids if modified. I can shoe you in the many boxes I have for my microtechs and if you ask the authorized dealer they will tell you which steel it will come with. It's not easy getting steel so they have to switch around sometimes. But all mine are M390 because I checked with dealer before buying.
I got the clear on one side gray on the other ultra tech in a fantastic store in branson mo... I talked my gf into buying it for me for 2 christmases and 2 butthdays lmao
The fakes are horrible, and outside of a passing resemblance, are nothing like the real things. Buying a fake, not only are you getting a shitty knife, but you're also encouraging the theft of American intellectual property.
thegunpenguin eh, I was in high school at the time and thought the idea of a blade that slides out of the front was pretty cool. And I definitely didn’t have $280 for a knife😂 Now though I’ve been thinking about buying the real thing.
My issue with MTs is the inconsistent button stiffness. I have a Combat Troodon that I literally cannot close with one hand (and I am strong). The warranty and customer service is crap too.
In my experience, they have the finest customer service in the industry. I'm not discount your opinion, or experience, but it would helpful to others if you would the circumstances.
@@KH-gw2gy They answer mine within 3 days, always, without exception. What happened? If you provide me with some details, I might be able to provide better help. Did you send one email? Two? Three? To what address? When did you send them?
thegunpenguin I’ve sent over a dozen emails and the average response takes 3 emails and 2-3 weeks. Maybe it’s COVID idk. That and the bizarre warranty and return issues are really a drag on the company. Google stiff buttons, it is a common issue. I do like their knives.
@@KH-gw2gy I'm certainly aware that some buttons come out stiff. I've purchased some that way, and they loosen up with use, and all end up in roughly the same place. Don't get me wrong -- I'm not saying that you aren't having an issue. I would want my knife fixed as well. Nor am I questioning your experience with customer service, I'm just trying to sort out what might be the problem. When they do respond, what do they suggest? I've never had a bizarre warranty issue either, just standard warranty stuff. I break a spring, they fix it. No big deal. In fact, they usually fix shit that they really shouldn't cover, and go way above and beyond. But sometimes companies drop the ball, and maybe that's what you're experiencing.
I saw videos from him reviewing the Sinn 104 watch and somebody asked "do you seriously have a 1930s gangster accent?" And Nick wrote back "Don't ask questions or you'll end up wearing concrete sneakers, capish?" lmao
MR GP, The same thing happened to me on the description for the microtech Ultratech The website said M390 but when I got my knife it was ELMAX steel.I called and explained and since the description has been changed to M390-ELMAX-204P.
I'm sorry to hear that. The 204P ones have officially hit the streets, but lots of the Elmax ones are floating around. I spoke with Microtech, and it's really on the dealers to represent their stock. In the future, I'll do a better job of explaining that in my MT videos, though the problem should disappear shortly when the Elmax stock dries up. Then, it'll be 204P all the way. Sorry you have the same issue.
@@tycoonzilla7041 I hope so! A lot of retailers haven't updated their websites to reflect the change; it might help to email the seller and check, if you get to see what is being sent to you. It's kind of luck of the draw at the moment. Don't get me wrong, Elmax is an awesome steel, but M390 is just a bit more premium in the eyes of most. If you don't mind, let me know what you get, and how you like your knife.
@@thegunpenguin Couldnt agree more with M390 being more premium and like you said in your video, if im going to pay $265 for a knife i have the right to get the steel i paid for lol. Yea no problem ill definitely get back to you, tbh this is going to be my first OTF knife i have played with BM Infidels before but never owned/handled a Microtech.
I wish Microtech saw it our way. I guess it might be a supply issue, but why compromise with the Elmax? Use only the best materials, I say. If you've handled one of the Infidels, you're going to love the Microtech. The Benchmades aren't in the same league. Have a great weekend!
@@Nick-TM in my opinion, YES the Ultratech is a 'good' self defense knife. It's durable and over engineered, I carry one every day. Is the Dirac Delta better? Personally, I like the deployment button on the side like the Ultratech configuration rather then on the face of the knife. The Dirac Delta has a longer blade and is longer over all, so if you want a little bit larger knife and prefer the front facing deployment, then maybe so. Either way, you can't go wrong with a Microtech OTF blade.
It is kind of lame that they don't tell you which steel your getting, but M390, 204P, and Elmax are all top notch. Elmax got a bad rap for a while with ZT but it's just as good as M390 when it's heat treated properly.
@@YTeradicant The Ultratech? Sure, you can find them readily, but this particular blade shape is really popular and sells quickly. I would just keep an eye on the various retailers. They'll get more, but you usually have to be ready to buy it pretty fast when they arrive. Also, they are making them out of 204P in 2019, an awesome move, though there are still Elmax and M390 ones in stores, and it'll probably be that way for awhile.

@@YTeradicant Yeah, that's the one in JW2. It's an Ultratech in the first movie. The Combat Troodons exist in M390 and now 204P also, but the ones I saw from September of last year through mid-January were Elmax. Some hit stores last week, but they sold out very, very quickly. I live near Southern Edges, and I stop by that shop frequently. They definitely are still in production, but you're far from the only person looking for one. The last batch was gone the same day it hit shelves.
The Phaeton, like all Benchmade OTFs, has a blade-to-handle ratio that just doesn't look right: the blade just simply looks too small. Also Benchmade's steels used in their OTFs don't justify the prices they're asking, IMO.
And you can sharpen it but if you send it in for service and you have screwed the edge up they aren't liable for it. And if you checked with the dealer before buying you would know what steel it is. They have done tons of videos showing you can open it and sharpen it. And the paperwork doesn't say not to sharpen it or it's void. I have tons of them and all the papers say the same thing. Paperwork states " disassembly and sharpening will NOT automatically void the warranty. These actions will void the warranty if the function of the knife is altered." " And that they recommend customers send their knives to them and let their technicians take care of it."

You didn’t even get the steel that was advertised?? Dude for that amount of money, that is not nitpicking. I just got one of these last week and I am beyond disappointed with it overall. The more I look into it, I can’t believe how many issues this knife seems to have that people are willing to ignore just to hype each other up on it. No kool aid for me, thanks.
I'm an avid Microtech collector; my issue was with the retailer, not Microtech. I've rarely had any issues with my knives, but when they've come up, Microtech has been very eager to fix them at their expense. Compared to other OTF manufacturers, I have no complaints, beyond their bizarre steel swapping. If you're disappointed in your Ultratech because of some technical problem, they'll be happy to fix it. Or, you may find that you simply prefer a different brand of OTF, and that's totally ok! However, as someone who reviews knives, Microtechs are, overall, built to a higher standard and tend to be the best value for the money. The Brian Tighes are also a great option, and the Heretics are very well-made also. The Benchmades are definitely a tier below. Anyhow, I'm sorry you've had a bad experience -- it sucks to spend a lot of money and not have your expectations met by a brand.
@@thegunpenguin Thanks for the reply. Glad you had better luck than I did. Unfortunately I didn't find them eager or happy to help me. In fact two weeks later I've gotten no reply at all from their customer support. In my mind, that confirmed that they're not too concerned whether or not I'm satisfied with their product. That may or may not explain the quality of the knife I got. It seems to me that they've got so many fans who are eager to make excuses for them that they don't need my money. Whether or not I am mistaken about that is their problem now...I already gave the refund money to companies I actually trust.
I don't like clones. They hurt the knife industry, and I'd rather that MTN design something new. But, I understand that not everyone is willing to spring for a Microtech.

@@magicd5780 What I've read about the proposed laws are very alarming. How likely do you think it is that some of those measures will pass? Other bodies such as Goa nra foca are ready to file lawsuits. So hopefully we can win the fight.
@@magicd5780 I hope you can win, and cooler heads will prevail. At this point, it almost seems like 2A issues are less about left and right. I thought, surely, our Republican-controlled government would pass national carry reciprocity and at least attempt to roll back part of the NFA, but it was barely discussed. And Trump has only mentioned gun rights a few times in passing since taking office. As you know, I live in a VERY red state, and most of the Republicans I meet aren't particularly pro-gun. A lot of them seem to be classic fudds. Does your local situation look much the same way, with those on the right being not that much more excited about guns than the left, or is that a southern thing? I ordered my knife from a place called the Gear Barrel. When it arrived, the retailer acted as though it just wasn't a big deal that I got a different blade metal, and that served to piss me off further. As it stands, this is my likely solution: I'll buy one made of M390, and keep it razor sharp, only for defensive carry, and sharpen this one at home and use it for everyday stuff. Frankly, I would dread having to sharpen M390, allowed by warranty or not. Elmax is a much better idea for just about anything other than defending yourself.
I mean, thanks, but I think you're confused. You dislike that I relayed information from Microtech. That's very, very dumb. Don't be dumb. Be smart, and use your brain.
@@hesa_jigalo In a fashion. They changed their policy a bit. You can sharpen it if you do it correctly. But more than that, the bigger problem is that sharpening M390 is hell on earth. I ship the knives back to them and they sharpen them for me. That works the best, and they usually give you something cool like a patch. (To clarify: I have like 18 Microtechs, so I ship them back in batches)
That's incorrect. In the first movie, he carries an Ultratech, and uses it to slaughter the Russians in the Red Circle. He carries a Combat Troodon in JW2 and leaves it stuck in Common. In JW3 he uses a Cypher in the subway station. Don't take my word for it -- consult Microtech's website, or call them. Better yet, watch the movies again.
You're right, in JW2, it's the Combat Troodon. But, in the first film, it's an older generation Ultratech, visible in several shots. The blade is digital in a few shots, for safety, and is elongated to look better on screen, but in the moments when only the grip is visible, it's definitely an Ultratech. But, like you said, for JW2, it's the Combat Troodon.

That's mine too 310 for purple satine d/e ultratech
Just received my first Utratech. De Full Serration M390. Truly impressed with it.

Dude you're hilarious! Loved the review! Can't wait to get my hands on a Ultratech
Thank you so much!
@@thegunpenguin sorry but Elmax is crap. Paying 1000 bucks for a knife should include the best steel.

How’s the tip on the dagger is it fragile or could it be used to poke and stab
I'm supposed to be looking at a gift for my wife, and yet here I am looking at a gift for myself.
The 599 is super cool! I haven't had a knife with the Wave deployment because it's new to me, and new things are scary, but man, it looks awesome.
My Ultratech drop point half serrated blade is made of 204P. I would rather have 204P than ELMAX. Glad I got what I did.
Wish these were legal in Canada, rock on brother.
Man, I wish they were legal up there too. I'm sorry they aren't; everyone deserves to own these fine knives. And fine knives in general!
How do you like dagger or bayonet blade on ultratech. Satin or stonewash?
I like them both! I don't like the bayonet blade as much as the dagger or the single edge, but it's certainly great, all the same. As for the finish, I personally prefer the look of the satin, but the stonewash is just as beautiful, and some folks prefer it. Here's another way to look at it: The dagger blade shape is best for personal defense, but less useful for tool talks. The bayonet and single edge are better for tool tasks, but less suited to defense. However, the single edge and bayonet can still be used for personal defense and will work just fine, while the dagger will struggle with work jobs. Does that help?
Where can I pick one up and what do they retail for?
My friend Mike at Southern Edges usually has them in stock. Give him a call. I think they retail for about $260-270 these days.
There are many fake Microtechs but they will never compare in quality of the real ones. I have collected them for years and adding more when I can afford them. I enjoyed your review.
Finally got myself a microtech, and its Killer !! Wont be the last. GREAT Blades!! 🇺🇸
Yo is it strong enough to stab things when it opens? I have a cheap otf that bounces off of cardboard

How do u know what steel it is? Mine doesn't say it anywhere...
The steel is marked on the blade.
Does it come in all black though?
It does. The "tactical" model as it's often called has black hardware and a black coated blade.
Glad to hear it! Mike is a great guy.
Where did you buy your ultratech?
I'm not going to say, because I was so critical of the retailer in this video; it's never my goal to hurt a retailer. However, I will tell you where I buy all of my Microtechs these days. I only shop at Southern Edges because the steels are always listed correctly, and Mike is a super nice guy!
@@thegunpenguin awesome thank you I’ll buy mine from southern edges

Thanks for watching!
How is the hk holding up? Im between the hk bayonet and the microtech as my first otf

Yeah I have purchased 3 of the Crawford Casper knives myself and i know what you mean carry on 1
They're great knives!
I bought a knock off on amazon for like $45. It came sharp, but the clip is fairly loose, paint comes off super easily, and the switch is VERY stiff.
And I definitely didn’t have $280 for a knife😂
Now though I’ve been thinking about buying the real thing.
I have acquired an actual one and I must say, night and day difference.
My issue with MTs is the inconsistent button stiffness. I have a Combat Troodon that I literally cannot close with one hand (and I am strong). The warranty and customer service is crap too.
In my experience, they have the finest customer service in the industry. I'm not discount your opinion, or experience, but it would helpful to others if you would the circumstances.
thegunpenguin they don’t answer emails for one

How do you know which blade steel your Ultratech comes with?
You'll find it just below where Ultratech is printed, at the bottom left of the blade. Hope this helps!
@@thegunpenguin Thank you! I just ordered one, the website said it had M390 .. lets hope it actually comes with it.
I think you're better off with ELMAX. My personal choice (and yes, either is fantastic steel,) would be ELMAX over M390.

The Phaeton, like all Benchmade OTFs, has a blade-to-handle ratio that just doesn't look right: the blade just simply looks too small. Also Benchmade's steels used in their OTFs don't justify the prices they're asking, IMO.
Subbed and ordered. Can't wait. M390. Don't sharpen. Hum..

If you're going to get an OTF, this is the way to go, but definitely make sure you have the store confirm you're getting M390. I was livid when mine showed up and was made out of Elmax; I'm still somewhat pissed off.
@@thegunpenguin what site did you order it from? Well other than philly and pitt pa is mostly Republican. Thank God even though as I've stated before on another one of your reviews I am liberal. Though more and more I'm leaning right cuz of shit like this. I've written to all my state legislators. I'm part of the gun owners of Pittsburgh group that is fighting it.
But other than that, fine review. And love the ultratech.
I mean, thanks, but I think you're confused. You dislike that I relayed information from Microtech. That's very, very dumb. Don't be dumb. Be smart, and use your brain.
Chris from family guy?
Blow me?
@@thegunpenguin You just sound like Chris from family guy. Didn't mean to say that in a negative way. Sorry.
Good job on your comments young man.
Thanks!
280 bones. I want it so bad
Good choice! It's a great knife.
@@thegunpenguin I ended up buying one . You ever find out if you can sharpen it ?
@@hesa_jigalo In a fashion. They changed their policy a bit. You can sharpen it if you do it correctly. But more than that, the bigger problem is that sharpening M390 is hell on earth. I ship the knives back to them and they sharpen them for me. That works the best, and they usually give you something cool like a patch. (To clarify: I have like 18 Microtechs, so I ship them back in batches)
The John Wick knife is a Combat Troodon, not an Ultratech.
I know you dont know much about microtech cause i have dozens and i take them apart and sharpen them and none of my warrantys have been voided ever
You're a funny little man.
Hardly a defference from the elmax and m390
Vote for me in 2020
No, vote for Hillary.
thegunpenguin you vagina
Gy-nah.
A chicken in every pot and a microtech in every hand?
@@thegunpenguin Bernie :)
God fucking damn it I bought one of these too.
It's a terrible disease.
Lmao you're funny
He really is right
Remind me of nick Shabaz
ngl. I just dont want to buy another box cutter.
just got the dead mans hand in m390 for 326$
Lol 3.2 oz is nothing!!!
If you sharpen it properly, they wouldn’t know anyway
Nick Jr.?
Discovery? I think we're listing cable channels, but I'm not sure.
@@thegunpenguin yeah, like The Shabazz channel, never heard of that one I'm sure
Is that the one where they film white people getting home renovations?
👆🙉🙈🙊😪😂
Your knofe is older and bigger
Prevent counterfeiting? Whaaat? Its not very hard to copy screws, have you ever seen a microtech clone? Heard of something called CNC machining.
He uses a Combat Troodon, not the Ultratech.
Wait... fatter in my pants? Turning off this video say no more. Off to buy a Benchmade.
I think the Benchmade was intended for you.
thegunpenguin - hahaha yeah! Need to compensate.
@@TeensierPython We could all use a little fatness in the pants. Keeps the confidence up, and the ladies/gentleman/horses interested. Maybe I need to rethink a Benchmade myself.
I'd buy it from you if you still don't like the elmax
Elmax is a great steel, I'd just much rather have M390, like my other Microtechs. The others hold an edge for an eternity. Looks like Microtech is moving to 204P in 2019, a great move, in my opinion.
