How do children or teenagers even bring guns to school in the first place? My third world country never had a school shooting and the only security are security guards in the entrance gates. @@mansnothot1284 First, there are pretty much no automatic rifles here. Second, this is a new cultural problem. I am old. Obviously we didn't shoot each other.
Being from Tennessee, I completely agree with this law. My wife's private school already has an armed guard. Now, one thing about this law is that the school district must have an MOU with local law enforcement. If teachers were armed and had the annual required training, how much earlier would the threat at Covenant School have been eliminated? Most school districts are completely against it and will not set an MOU. Now, if a shooting happens at school and the school district does not allow armed teachers, does that open the schools to additional lawsuits? Then guess what, it is the citizens who now have to pay the costs.

You've stumbled upon the heart of the issue. Not one school that allows armed teachers has had a shooting. That's a problem for people who want to use shootings to ban guns.
How do these children not understand that their teachers being armed and trained WILL make them safer? Having zero individuals armed and trained at their schools makes them sitting ducks 🤦🏻♂️
Sitting ducks with no weapons around them all the time outside of only a chance of an attacker vs having weapons around them all the time but having a very good chance to stop an attacker, and the attacker is still a very low chance to begin with. It's perception, not factual. The weapons themselves are seen as the threat or risk, and they might be more comfortable with only a slim chance of one being around (being used by an attacker) vs having them around, even if to stop the real danger. They also underestimate their teachers' self control and capabilities to keep their guns from being misused. A lot of students probably first think of this as teachers open carrying too. And also primarily thinking of teachers being forced to be armed despite many not being fit to do so.

Their plan is apparently to just enact a crapload anti-gun policies, then wait a hundred years for attrition to weed out all the guns and finally make the country safe.
Interestingly, they forget the supposedly "opposing" preventative measures to the school shooting problem are not mutually exclusive. Armed staff and bag checks act as a deterrent to problem children within and outside threats. Better gun security at home acts as a deterrent. Addressing mental health issues and its causes (ex. crackdowns on bullying and harassment, therapy sessions and psych evaluations for everyone, etc.) reduces the chances of a student (or teacher) wanting to pop off in the first place. *The guns are not the problem, the people are.*

There are good holsters that protect a sidearm from "stranger" retrieval and having a number of trained teachers armed with concealed proper equipment would assure any would-be criminal not be sure who would be equipped to stop them. Look at the effect of a Florida Sheriff's remarks that encouraged homeowners to shoot violent break-in criminals. Break-in crime nearly stopped after that. I would expect the same from this legislation as well. Well done Tennessee.
How ironic for them to scream "POWER TO THE PEOPLE," while demanding for people's rights to be violated or taken away altogether.

@bl8danjil Whats ironic is that this law requires teachers to go through what they call "common sense training" before even carrying in school, about the same or even more rigorous than most blue states CCW training. I honestly think passing these kind of laws just brings them to the harsh reality that what they want is not as easily obtainable as they may have originally anticipated, which is banning guns altogether…they want all guns along with the second amendment that protects those guns to go away period and it’s not going to happen!
How do children or teenagers even bring guns to school in the first place? My third world country never had a school shooting and the only security are security guards in the entrance gates. That's it. Don't schools in America have security guards to check what's inside their bags? How the hell can you bring automatic rifles and not even get your bags checked?
@@mansnothot1284 First, there are pretty much no automatic rifles here. Second, this is a new cultural problem. I am old. Fridays half the boys took their rifles in their cars to school, and we left for hunting after. Sometimes at lunch a teacher would come out and want to see our guns and compliment us on them. Obviously we didn't shoot each other.
This is exactly the argument I present to people that are against guns and I have still never heard a single good argument against it.
"I don't want my brother anywhere near guns in schools!"
Bro, you do know there are already armed officers in TN public schools, right?
Being from Tennessee, I completely agree with this law. My wife's private school already has an armed guard. Now, one thing about this law is that the school district must have an MOU with local law enforcement. If teachers were armed and had the annual required training, how much earlier would the threat at Covenant School have been eliminated? Most school districts are completely against it and will not set an MOU. Now, if a shooting happens at school and the school district does not allow armed teachers, does that open the schools to additional lawsuits? Then guess what, it is the citizens who now have to pay the costs.
Colorado started arming teachers in 2018. 41 school districts have now armed school personnel. No shootings, no problems. Just extra protection.
That's good. I would not have any problem trusting a teacher or any other school staff with a CHL. A person has to go through training and the same background check as a police officer in order to get a CHL. CHL holders are most behaved people in the US,
to be fair a teacher is someone u trust the most except ur father and mother, they have a great influence in ur life and why do u think they would be armed? because they are actually adults and they make sure to teach the kids and ensure their safety incase a fight happens, since were talking about america its probably school shootings so teachers should be allowed to carry firearms because anything they do bad theyre gonna be done for as theyre as responsible as a parent or security guard is@@seanknight9808

In the US, there are millions of people armed with guns. But even then, tens of thousands of people are killed by guns every year, and the death toll is only rising. So, what does this tell you? It should tell you very clearly that arming people with guns doesn't stop them from being shot at. So, why do you think that arming teachers will stop them from being shot at? It won't, and it won't stop kids from being shot either. You're trying to put out fire with more fire. Arming teachers is not the answer. If arming everyone with a gun makes society safer then America would be the safest country on earth, but it's not. More guns only leads to more people because killed. There's only one solution to your problem, and that's to abolish the 2A and ban all guns permanently. Get rid of them all. America would be a better place without any guns
Thank you
Thank you! Please spread the word and awareness.

YEP, YEP AND AMEN Colion!!!💯 Could not have said it better myself! It's plain sickening how radical gov't backed org's take advantage of these emotional kids whom have no effin' clue of how and why they are ponds in this issue. Great Job!🔥❤
The irony of saying "power to the people" while actively protesting about taking the right of self preservation away.
The politicians have made our children and schools vulnerable by failing to provide money to our schools. The politicians are greedy and won't spend money on our children.
"I don't want to be around guns" as he unkowingly stands next to a legally armed person carrying concealed. These people actually think teachers will be teaching with guns slung across their chests...
Look at that insurrection.
Ironic, coming from of a bunch of kids who will not oppose letting criminals run free.
There are people and criminals walking around in public, with guns. Children in public are around guns, whether they know it or not.
Absolutely. Thank you.
Every time I have a conversation with an anti gunner I ask the same question "What would you suggest?". Every single time I get the same response, silence.
*The guns are not the problem, the people are.*
retired after 32 years of physics teaching in my old high school: Because I live in NY, I had to cause students to huddle in the corner while I stood by the door armed with bug spray [that I had to hide from the admin], rather than in a defensive posture with a firearm. Blessed be God that we only had drills and no real threat.
No RAMBO's chasing bad guys through the halls, just quietly waiting in the *NOW* protected classroom, keeping 25-30 young ones safe for tomorrow! Bravo to TN!
Teachers should be allowed to have protection, just like the rest of us!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
"Im a college student, i dont wanna be near a gun"
Yeap. That absolutely checks out with your suit and fancy tie you clearly didn’t pay for.
Yep, that’s $200k of education in college get you these days. A lot of nothing and brainwashed.
The more armed teachers, the less chance someone else comes in on them for destruction!
Damn straight one kid is more important than all the guns criminals own. That's why law-abiding citizens need to stay strapped!
So sick of these whiny little brats. The rod was spared and the children were spoiled.
"We want to be safe in schools"
THE IRONY. 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
We want our kids to be safe, so take away every option for security and protection of our children immediately!
Seriously, why do they think criminals (who by definition break laws) would follow laws about not going to certain places with weapons?
Places with no weapons are the best places to commit crimes, by the time police respond you can be long gone.
When seconds matter, enforcement is just minutes away
Though on a personal note, schools should have trained and armed security on site rather than teachers with no standard for training. Maybe have a few officers on site instead. But odds of that happening feels low these days
"Freedom is scary; deal with it."
John H. Bryan
They can't trust themselves with weapons, therefore no one else can be trusted. It's a sad state for a person to be in.
These people are in a delusional world if they don’t think that they walk around at least 6 to 15 guns a day conceal carry is very popular and a lot the majority of people do it. And have a license.
Pay no attention to ignorance
I will wager good money that not one of those kids, not one, is native Tennesseean. That one kid that first boy who spoke, giving his Northeast Coast philosophy, I detected a New York accent there.
Power to the people by taking peoples power away. These people don't think.
As long as the good people are armed, the bad people are powerless.
I’m a PE teacher for a Title 1, inner city charter school. We’ve had two firearms recovered from our students this school year. We were put on lockdown for both incidents and only found out what happened at a staff meeting afterwards.
I’m at the range every weekend practicing the safe and effective use of my firearms.
I’m the ideal candidate to arm on our campus. I approached my administration and was met with similar sentiment as that which is expressed by the children in this video.
“What happens if you have a bad day?”
“What if you’re disarmed?”
Completely disingenuous lines of questions which I patiently answered. The minds of administrators were already made up. I may as well have been talking to a brick wall. They don’t want to have an honest conversation. They wanted to speak to me from a place of authority.
And both were almost certainly recorded as "school shootings" on the documents these anti-self defense zealots spread around. Legally Armed America has a great video regarding that topic.
The narrative has been set... just like in the news cycles. One united voice against good.
Then THEY....NEED TO BE REMOVED.
THEY DONT HAVE PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS.
OH THE IRONY
I would remember which ones don't want your protection when the time comes, and give them none.
There's a small town here in Indiana that has more than one armed citizen that patrols the school on rotation and this school is in a town of maybe less than a 1000 residence. They don't play.
I'm a teacher. I'm a coach. I'm a father and husband, I'm also a CCW holder. I train (never enough) and carry in my personal life.
I love the fact that people claim teacher will use their weapon against their own students. That is laughable. Completely insane.
Those kids don’t know what country they live in, huh? We have the right to self defense here.
Always are not one of those kids is from the state of Tennessee. They're from the Northeast Coast and they sound like it.
That's why they should just go to China instead since they don't like guns
omg these people are insane!!!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻 Let teachers defend students!
Uncomfortable truth. 1 kid is NOT worth my right to bear arms.
It's a false tradeoff. You having a gun doesn't kill any kids.
@@josephahner3031 agreed but even in their false trade off it’s still wrong.
@@XMoeiskingXthere’s been more than one kid killed in school shootings.
How many billions innocent children will die before you stop giving guns out to everyone who wants one?
@@josephahner3031 having a gun does
@elizabethTHEmarshmelow1060 no , it doesn't. Unless you, as the owner of the firearm make a conscious decision to. Law abiding gun owners aren't the problem. The problem are the psychopaths.
If I don't trust a person with a gun I certainly wouldn't trust them with my kid. If I wouldn't trust him armed I certainly wouldn't want them teaching my children.
Arrest the KIDS charge then with felonies and they will see how hard it is to do anything with a felony on their record
The comparison to Mao's Red Guard is chillingly accurate. It's time to focus on real solutions, not misguided rhetoric.
Politicians have failed you kids! Why are they not spending money to protect YOU?
I don't think it was even Mao. He was the figurehead only. The same globalists behind Kissinger did all this planning. Mao didn't have the means to invent that himself, just like China couldn't invent its own bridges, buildings, microprocessors, or operating system. Every single thing was transplanted from the west, including their government and politics. That's why it looks so similar here. It's the same people running it.
