I was a victim of an attempted carjacking in Chicago last July. The carjacker ran up to my car with a gun pointed at me. He fired once. I returned fire and hit him three times. He is now in jail with attempted murder charges against him. My firearm saved my life and the life of my eleven year old daughter, who was sitting in the back seat of my car.
Im sorry you both had to go through that. Im from the south suburbs and while chicago gets things x100 worse we still feel what the city goes through. Gun crime and violent crime is picking up down by us in more recent years. Again im sorry you both had to go through that
I once dated a woman who said if she couldn't escape, she would rather let an intruder do whatever they were there to do than use a gun to put them down. I knew she shouldn't be the mother to my children right then and there.
When someone doesn't have the mama-bear instinct, that's a big red flag. How anyone values the life of a predator over their own, or their children's is beyond me.
I’d almost bet once she becomes a mother her attitude will change. I’ve see it many times. I would never put money on the attacker of a momma with a baby

That's always hilarious because guns are actually the least false sense of security you can have. An intruder can be hard stopped by 9mm, but padlocks and alarm systems and whatever other bullshit is just deterrent

The Orlando nightclub shooter said similar. In fact, he had another target, but he saw that the door security had guns. So he drove to the next closest target on his list of possibilities. I've seen it stated that criminals have said when asked what they look for as red flags is if their target has a gun. They won't even rob a house if they think someone's home with a gun because they don't want to get shot.
Not to mention he did it in a state where a normal AR15 and 30 round magazines are illegal, instantly putting him at an advantage to any law abiding citizens with guns in that area. They all say that. They all point out in their manifestos that their choice of target always has to do with it being unarmed. The lefts position on all of those is 'blame the system' actually. Personal accountability is an anathema to them these days, especially when it comes to criminal matters.

We had our house broken into and the dude actually came up to my bedroom door that we had barricaded closed and tried to open it. I slammed it back in his face and told him I’d shoot him and he RAN. I didn’t have a gun. It was a lie, but even the mention of a gun freaked him out. Now I have a gun and feel safer
JUST LEAVE YOUR HOUSE AND YOUR SLOW MOVING CHILDREN!!!!!! wow what great logic that idiot presented! How about mom dukes throws on her body armor and a war belt, slings up her AR and starts sending rounds of freedom chambered in 5.56 at the intruders to save and protect her castle and more importantly her and her children's lives. I really cant believe this is an actual "gun debate" man wth.
I grew up in the hood. The only people who were left alone were the ones packing heat. My great grandfather lived in the same house for 50 years he lived in the same neighborhood I did. At the same time. The only time someone broke into his house the guy left in a body bag. And the gangs and the hoodlums never messed with him after that. Everyone in the area knew he had a gun on him at all times. He openly carried every single minute of every single day since he came back from veitnam. He is the man I idolized. And I do the same thing. Every time I step outside I have a gun.
Imagine telling a rape victim in court that she should have "gotten out the house" or run away. As if she should frickin have to. They would never make that argument because people would hate them for even suggesting such a thing.
I have a democratic pen-pal ( I am conservative) He thinks that only LEO should be able to carry guns in public. Kinda leaves him defenseless if someone should attack him while outside his home (mowing the lawn) Or if He is in a public place.
So they only interviewed people that are scared of guns.. so you only get anti gun opinions. Would have been better if they had to groups and actually have a conversation.. maybe some of these people would have woken up from their phobias on guns .
During the “in Buffalo” part of the discussion, I imagined someone hiding for their life among the store aisles suddenly seeing an AR-15 on the shelf…but saying “wait, no, that would be more dangerous for me.” 😳 That imaginary “thought process” scenario is precisely that - fantasyland.

My Girlfriend was anti-gun. It took me 3 years to convince her to get a gun for protection. I sent her your videos all the time, btw. She loves the way you explain things. She finally got her first gun, bought it, and she said she had a wow moment. She finally understood after buying her own gun. It's something that can't be explained. A right needs to be exercised before it's appreciated. You have to understand, I bought this gun. It is mine. This gun isn't causing crime. This gun will protect my family.
For the longest time my wife was also against ownership, wasn't till one night we had an attempted home invasion by multiple criminals that her tune completely changed. She now understands and is trained and goes to the range. If she is at home with the kids she can defend them without me being around. Without a firearm she would stand no chance against multiple intruders and having both children in the house. Great job. My girl is a democrat at heart. But she carries, she feels we all have the right to protect ourselves from the evil and the rising power of the government. I told her she’s not a democrat… 😅😅😅
“The whole point in having a gun is because you don’t always have the option to flee” Very true. I’m not able to bend my left leg or even put an excessive amount of weight on it due to a motorcycle accident causing an insane amount of pain. There is no way I’d be able to defend myself in a one on one altercation with someone who is most likely at their full 100% with both legs working normally if I wasn’t able to legally carry. Especially if I have my young daughter with me.
I have a similar sounding injury from a moped crash 20 years ago.. running is questionable for me as well. If I put weight on it wrong, it’ll literally bend the wrong way and I’m 100% down for the next few days if it happens.. never mind getting back up and running!
What's appalling to me, is that this dude thinks people that own guns for self defense don't prefer to get away if they can... We do... I assure you if somebody breaks in my home, and I can get me and mine away from danger, I am... Simply because of all the bullshyt that comes with a self defense shooting 1- you got a 99% chance of going to jail at least for interrogation 2- they are gonna seize your gun for at least several months and the chances of you getting it back aren't great 3- your gonna have to pay an attorney at least several thousand.. even if you don't get charged. 4- if you are charged , your life will absolutely be turned upside down and shook out... Even if you win 5- there's a chance you go to prison for ever The odds are so far stacked against the law abiding citizen, that it's almost impossible to stay that way.
@@xenn4985 I think you're missing the point! It’s comical to me, how the one guy who is telling everyone they should run away from a bad guy with a gun is the guy who got shot by a bad guy with a gun. Apparently he couldn’t run fast enough.
I’m curious, how do we know he was shot by a “bad guy with a gun?” Maybe, just maybe he was the bad guy who created the situation that got him shot. He talks like somebody who wants everybody but the criminal disarmed.

You wouldn’t want to hold a car company liable if someone just up and decided to ram it into a crowd of people (which happens more often than you think) so why would you do the same for a gun?
Any violence can have that effect. A coyote ran out of the woods and grabbed one of my pet chickens. I felt so helpless. I threw a stick at him but that did nothing. I carry a small pistol with me at all times now.

These people that want to ban guns always seem to conveniently forget that it is already illegal to commit crimes, and do not want to point at the criminals being the actual problem. Removing guns from law abiding people will just give criminals more incentive to do what they do because they will have more probability of not facing resistance. You are doing a great job. Thank you
The guns themselves ain't the issue it's the fact that humans throughout history who've had mass access to high grade weapons has always led to mass death and collapse. It is simple logic. If everyone has weapons they will use them. You DID have a reason. To fight the govenment if needed. However that is now a dream as they know your location 24/7, they can hit you from anywhere, and your ak ain't gonna help. You need their power and food and water. Troops ain't gonna roll down the road. But only need 50 drones per state to ruin any chance of getting to the govenment let alone take them out. Add on top that nukes. And EMPs. You don't stand a chance. BUT the cats out of the bag so you ain't getting rid of them. And illegal guns most of the time were aquired from legal owners so even the best of gun owners can be part of this issue. Now you gotta figure out what's worth more to you. @CryptoDaddy really? I dont know what you'd classify as an assault rifle, but that doesn't really matter. If if she (or anyone else) needs to protect themselves, she should have every option, if not more, than the intruder has. Why shouldn't that be the case?

Note for that guy trying to list other ways to protect yourself. A month or so ago, we were having our family movie and pizza night. Our Scotch Collie, one of our 4 dogs, was outside, and started barking. I figured he was chatting with the neighbor dogs, so I hauled my third trimester pregnant self to the door, with my toddler son close at my heels, to bring him inside. I opened the door to find a shifty looking guy in my large fenced front yard, not far from my door, where the Collie was standing and growling. We also have a chained gate, and live in a decently safe smallish town. Took me by total surprise. I asked what he was doing there, and he said he needed to use a phone. I said no, he began to approach, and I slammed/locked the front door. Did he leave, like someone who actually just wanted to borrow a phone would have (btw, we are one of very few houses in our neighborhood with a fenced front yard, and our neighbors across the street were working in their yard, all better options to ask)? NOPE. He saw my big pregnant belly and my toddler, and clearly thought he’d found an easy mark. We had every single thing on that guy’s list, but did they scare him off? NOPE. My husband stepping onto our front porch with his carry gun did that most effectively. (To forestall the question, yes, I carry too.)
I would say be careful shooting when pregnant....you can actually harm the child if you shoot certain guns while pregnant..... But Good for your Husband, glad you were all kept safe. One bad thing about front tall fences is that they can actually block view of your house thus making it easier for thieves to work in secret.

As my wife was getting ready to go in to work (she works 3rd shift) i was in the room playing with my 5 year old. She yells out from the kitchen that "something/someone was in the house" I was confused , in my PJ's, and took my contacts out. ( I was ready for bed).. I walk out and see a guy standing at my front door and I yell asking what he's doing and who he was. He stared at me and I could only see him and his face was blurry, within seconds I ran back in my run and grabbed my rifle. He took off and was terrified, he was either drunk or on drugs. The thing is that the one time we didn't lock our door and had put our German Shepherd in her crate, this happens smh Morale of the story is to always be ready and sadly, even in our own homes it could happen. THat night could have gone bad. My other two kids were watching tv in the living room while this happened and were terrified. I was happy I didn't have to shoot him and my family was ok. The first thing an individual is required to do when they are going to attempt to debate on a subject is educate themselves on the subject. Alec Baldwin loves gun safety.
That's exactly what safes do. Their locks may be stronger than the locks on front doors, but they can still be defeated eventually. A bank vault is stronger than a home safe, but it can still be defeated too. Their entire purpose is to slow down the attacker long enough for a human or a hundred to show up to actually stop the attacker. And those humans have to have the ability to overpower the attacker(s).
Things like locks also force the intruder to make more noise to get in, which often deters nonviolent crime like simple burglary. If someone is willing to kill you with a *gun* they're not going to care about the noise breaking a lock might make.
People ask why I praise my dog when he barks as people approach the door. Just another deterrent to keep someone from getting themselves shot. I like to say the locks on my house keep the bad guys safe, not me.

Agreed. I had a hard time sitting through this one even WITH Colion's commentary. The three biggest talkers on this "panel" come off as plants to me. None of their reasoning makes any sense whatsoever. Actually, I take that back, it does make sense if you have a victim mindset. Sort of like what schools teach: "Just stay in the room and wait to be shot to death."
That's understandable but unfair; I imagine anti-gun people find Colion hard to watch. Anti-gun people are still people, they have the same right to be heard as you or I. I actually kind of see what he was trying to get at. I've thought about this myself before. If someone has a gun pointed at you and knows you don't have a gun, it's pretty unlikely they're gonna shoot you. They know they don't need to. If they know you have a gun, they're much more likely to shoot you because they know you're a threat. The argument kind of breaks down the more you think about it tho. How do they know if you have a gun? That's why I like concealed carrying, because then they won't know that I'm armed. Also, in a situation where I know I can't get my gun out and get a shot off before they could shoot me, I'm just not going to pull out my gun. I'm handing over my cash or whatever they're asking for, or, in a more dire situation, I'm waiting for a chance to get my gun out and shoot.

The man saying "leave the house" to the woman with 2 kids obviously has never tried to get kids out of a house. It's hard enough to get them out on a normal day. Add a home invasion, fear, panic, and 2 armed men in your home, and you are a sitting duck. He should also think about the fact that these men with guns may want to do more than just rob a women in front of her kids. Those kids will now have to live with the damage of seeing their mom assualted.
He would rather let his kids be abducted and watch his wife be violated in front of him, than take one step off of his “moral” high ground. That’s the cold hard facts of his belief system.
You hit the nail on the head about dogs and security systems. I see them merely as an early warning system to get to my rifle to dispense my form of “deterrence.”
Thank you for keeping us educated and informed. I’m a proud new gun owner. Two years ago I was afraid of guns and couldn’t fathom the thought of looking at one let alone touching one. BUT today because of family encouragement and through education, continuous training, and common sense I encourage others to overcome their fear of guns. Way too often anti-gun supporters attempt to demonize us and manipulate the emotions of law abiding citizens by questioning our rights. We are loving, caring, and emotionally healthy. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, God loving supporter of the 2nd Amendment! Your common sense logic and knowledge is so appreciated.
At the end of the day, willingly surrendering your ability to physically defend yourself is the same as asserting you have faith in governments and large groups to never trample you and your rights. "History has entered the game."
Benjamin Franklin said "He who surrenders freedom for comfort deserves neither". Shooting someone isn't comfortable. Defending your own home, family, or person can be nerve-wracking. Life isn't all about fluffy pillows, buttercup, rainbows, or unicorns. We DON'T live in a musical based reality. Some of those idiots on that panel obviously take their comforts for granted, and are NOT willing to suffer discomfort to protect them. Let them have their fairy tale beattitudes. At the end of the day, I do not respect them nor want them for a neighbor.
This is the ultimate breakdown of this debate. The only reason to give up the ability to defend yourself in an environment that is recognizably and not infrequently dangerous is that you trust someone else to defend you. Trusting the government to protect and defend you has historically been a Grade-A classic idiotic move. They're almost as likely to be the ones trying to kill you, certainly more likely in the past century.

As someone who was in a fistfight that quickly escalated to me being stabbed and left for dead... I have to say, that if I had been allowed to have a firearm (welcome to California) I wouldn't have been stuck in a coma for three days and crippled for life. Guns aren't just a deterrent. They are the BEST deterrent. The guy literally saw a broom in my hand and stopped to ask if it was a shotgun. He was high.
@REAL pomagranite_titan I was 25, and had just decided to take the next step in my life as a soldier (I'm a minuteman, and it never evolved from that, but at the time I had just tried to sign up for the US Army) and was staying with my brother in Watts, California. We were having a party, to celebrate the last week of me being a civilian(ChristmasEve 2012), when we ran out of alcohol and he went to the store to get more. While he was gone, his cousin called the house and threatened to kill everyone there. Me being the anti-bully that I am naturally, I scoffed at his words. Ten minutes later, he showed up to my brother's house with his friend and kicked down the front door, before jabbering in his meth-fueled rage about how he was gonna kill me. I was at that moment, sweeping up some garbage off the floor, and the broom I had been using had a black handle (which I believe is what caused his confusion). I put the broom down, and confronted him in the second room in the house, telling him that he had to leave and that I didn't want to fight him because I didn't want to hurt him(I'm a martial artist, and California law states that you must give three warnings before engaging in self-defence, and only after retreating, at the time). He took a swing at me after saying, "it's too late for all that shit", and I fought him for a full 7 and a half minutes, before he finally landed a massive haymaker to my left temple, which uprooted me from the floor and spun me around where I hit my right temple on the corner of a metal strongbox which was around 2 foot cubed. In that same moment, I felt my knife come out of my back pocket. I'm not sure if he grabbed it out, or it fell out, but the next thing I remember was the click of the knife opening and making a mad grab to try to stop him from stabbing me in the neck. We fought over the knife for a split second, before he spun me around in a reverse bear-hug, and dove on top of me with the knife pointed at my kidney on my left side. I stopped most of the blade with my hands, but I got around two inches of steel in my Abdomina Veina Cava, and my spleen and diaphragm were both punctured. He then jerked the knife out of my chest, and walked wide-eyed towards the front door. I put pressure on the wound, and then realized that I was about to die, so I charged at him from behind and tackled him off of the front stairs. He stood up, aimed a couple of kicks at my back(I was curled in the fetal position and trying to keep my blood in me) before walking to his suburban and driving away like a madman. It took thirty minutes of bleeding and the neighbor lady begging the dispatch coordinator for the ambulance to get there. The police never showed up, until I woke up three days after Christmas in the ICU. The Army denied my enlistment form, and the man got away with the crime, only to end up in prison a year later for murder 1. He killed three other people before our fight, and two people after. The reason I didn't have a gun, was my brother was on felony parole, and I had one prior Baker's Act violation on my record when I was 19. That's a story for another day, but suffice to say, I will never acquiesce to another mental health care moment, in my life. I was almost killed by California's idiotic laws. I now advocate for people who have mental health issues, to fight them without doctoral aid, for that exact reason. Well done, California...

The Buffalo shooter literally said in his ramblings he wrote, "I probably won't do it if I think there are armed people inside"
The Orlando nightclub shooter said similar. In fact, he had another target, but he saw that the door security had guns. So he drove to the next closest target on his list of possibilities.
Glad you and your family wasn't harmed

She yells out from the kitchen that "something/someone was in the house" I was confused , in my PJ's, and took my contacts out. ( I was ready for bed)..
I walk out and see a guy standing at my front door and I yell asking what he's doing and who he was. He stared at me and I could only see him and his face was blurry, within seconds I ran back in my run and grabbed my rifle. He took off and was terrified, he was either drunk or on drugs. The thing is that the one time we didn't lock our door and had put our German Shepherd in her crate, this happens smh

The first thing an individual is required to do when they are going to attempt to debate on a subject is educate themselves on the subject. Alec Baldwin loves gun safety.
Locks are not built to stop an intruder. They are there to slow the person down. To give you time to react.
Dude thought that a security camera is a deterrent... 😂😂😂😂
Also, it's evidence. It proves you are trying to deter a break in.

Also, in a situation where I know I can't get my gun out and get a shot off before they could shoot me, I'm just not going to pull out my gun. Notice how there isn’t a string of 30 argumentative comments under this specific comment… the people advocating for gun control won’t choose to battle against your story’s because they know they’ll lose… I’m getting more and more impatient with people who think with their feelings because I’m sick of hearing the same old talking points that fall flat. I wish people would throw actual ammunition at me when we speak of difficult topics like this instead of “gun bad” or “you just don’t need that”
Like my dad said, "It's better to have it & NOT need it THAN NEED IT & NOT HAVE IT"
Same thing i used to tell people when i went to work in London England in a bulletproof vest. No good to me left in the car.
Keep up the good work Colion. You are critical to bringing logic to the those trying to take our 2A Rights.
You’ll never truly realize how much it means to have a weapon like this at your disposal until you’re forced into a situation where you need it.
These are actors who have been fed information and have practiced their speeches ahead of time. Who talks like this in normal speech? This must have been scripted. Thanks Colion Noir for all that you do.
you are totally right. nothing is put on tv without being edited or staged. its funny how all these people know all the correct terms and talking points. this panel is staged, notice ALL of their points are to the negative of guns, ALL of them. They know nothing of the meaning behind the 2nd or talk about tyranny. Most have no idea on how to protect urself or others. every situation they use is arm chair qb. HOPEFULLY this vid brings those that are anti 2A to this channel and they listen to Colion...
Bingo!
Well that is the problem with soy mentality. Their solution is false sense of security and rely on others for help.
10000000% scripted. It works. Kids watching this have little real world experience and lots of media. It works.
Exactly, that’s why it’s the same three people talking every time.
Another example of why many in the 2A community appreciate your passionate and effective advocacy for its value, validity, and protection!
Rotflmao, this guy got shot waiting on the cops. And he's still against guns. Lmao stupidity runs rampant in the woke liberals. And I guess the gay guy would just bend over for the bad guy.
This is probably my 8th comment but being apart of the gun community for about 10 years now…. NOT ONCE have I ever had a violent or angry thought to go out and hurt a bunch of people
At this point Colion Noir is a National Treasure… thank you for the articulation.
I'd totally agree if he stops pushing anti-consumer USCCA! They're a bunch of crooks!
So are you sir, stay classy my friend.
They needed a guy like you in that interview. That young black kid is trying so hard NOT to sound like a gangster that he's turning himself into a total victim
I would be willing to bet he is one of those who is very "anti cop" after a black person is harmed by them.....I bet he is for defunding the police....I bet he doesn't get that he is empowering the very group that most of these people vilify by taking guns away from the government thus making them MORE likely to violate people's civil rights.
Vice would never have someone like Colion on for this kind of "debate", and even if they did they would edit out everything he said

Same, i cant remember the last time i saw any type of gun ads, let alone one that encourages violence.
The only gun ads I've ever seen were in gun mags, and not once have I seen an ad that markets them ad tools of violence. I've seen adds that talk about style, reliability, and their use in hunting and self defense.

Tell ya what, if there was a table full of loaded (pick one) 9mm .556 .308 .350 .450 AR-15's in that store in Buffalo, would the patrons grab one or just leave it there and say NAH, i'll rather take my chances without? Make it make sense people !
Remember when that kid dropped the guy shooting up the mall in Indiana?
The man saying "leave the house" to the woman with 2 kids obviously has never tried to get kids out of a house. It's hard enough to get them out on a normal day. Add a home invasion, fear, panic, and 2 armed men in your home, and you are a sitting duck. He should also think about the fact that these men with guns may want to do more than just rob a women in front of her kids. Those kids will now have to live with the damage of seeing their mom assualted.
He should take his own advice and leave the USA.
That's assuming if the kids are alive after. A home invasion with occupants almost never has survivors on the innocent side.
He would rather let his kids be abducted and watch his wife be violated in front of him, than take one step off of his “moral” high ground.
That’s the cold hard facts of his belief system.
They should bring them to a mock house and make them do a drill of what they think is the best way
Mr. Runaway Man doesn't have to make sense. He believes he's on the right side of history... Just like every other tyrant.

God bless you for overcoming a previous way of thinking and choosing to exercise your natural rights as an American
I love how the guy who got shot says the 2a is a “perceived Right”
I perceive my right to defend my rights
I can't stand people who want to decide for others. Colion, you're the best. Thanks for your expertise.
Who needs rights when you have government?
That ship has sailed, Sally.

also how long ago
@REAL pomagranite_titan In 2012. It's public record, but I can try to tell it again... standby.
@@guardsmanom134 Thank you for sharing, man. That shit is crazy. Your own cousin almost killed you. This is why we need to bring mental asylum back, give the crazies a place to be themselves without hurting the civilized world. And I live in Cali too and fuck this burning patch of hell.
@REAL pomagranite_titan what's more, what you call crazy, is just side effects of the medications that most of these people are on.
Really, crazy people are just people who see things differently, or were attention seekers at a young age, and they got a shit deal. How do you think that I caught a Baker's Act violation in the first place?
I WAS ACCUSED OF BEING CRAZY. Yet, I now know that I just have an incredible imagination, and a high intelligence.
Food for thought.

Someone should have asked that nitwit why he didn't just _leave_ before his assailant drew a bead on him. Then he'd never have gotten shot. Simple as.
Were you almost killed by a gun, or someone using a gun?
He's just a Leftist plant put there to spout the same talking points as 90% of the others on the panel.
