Go mode being such low requirements is actually pretty interesting to me. It's like, ZM's sequence break-heavy design has knock-on effects onto shuffling the items. It's my favourite Metroid but Fusion is probably my favourite randomizer for the series, the linear design seems to randomize better.
39:00 True, but in Bunny Must Die the first upgrade allows you to turn around. It's optional, the game can be finished with very limited ability to choose which direction you're facing. I feel that's similar :)
For the low% (which is 9%), you need Morph Ball, Missiles, Ice Beam, Plasma Beam, Bombs, Space Jump, Varia Suit (But is also optional in a Memory Manipulation run) Gravity Suit andn Power Grip. Doing the Memory Manip glitch makes it a 8%
A bit of advice. The pause screen shows power ups in each area. Brinstar has 18 total, kraid 13, norfair 21, Ridley 20, crateria 7, tourian 2, and that leaves 19 for chozodia (if memory serves). Sum up the number of missiles, super missiles, power bombs and e tanks in each area and remove that from the areas total to determine the number of upgrades in each area. Granted, that does make this challenge much easier xD
Love seeing the Metroid content lately! The cheese for the black/elite space pirates was super cool to see! Those guys give you such a hard time right at the end.
I want to say Samus looks like a zora from legend of Zelda, but really she just looks like she poured cyan paint on herself before starting this mission
Was the room where Gravity Suit was found changed? I'm pretty sure the floor has bomb blocks for you to go under the speed blocks in the normal game, so if you entered from the left, you just require either bombs or PBs + High Jump to get it. It's also probably the intended solution to get the ball spark missiles, since the method you used is annoyingly close to the room transition trigger.
15% normal I usually go for speed booster and a super missile tank, last time i played 15% hard i think i did screw attack and an extra missile tank? been a little while since i played that shit's brutal
it should just start you with morph ball as it's required past two screens anyway and you can't do almost anything in the game without it. this would then free up an item in those first two rooms to be something else. Also long beam should just be a given, to you. No other game other than the first one even 'had' it.
You can find the ZM randomizer here: www.romhacking.net/utilities/1371/

Fun fact: They made the long beam in zero mission even better because unlike the original game, it also boosts your damage
Fun fact: This is false, it also boosted your attack in the original.
Also fun fact: this powerup is exclusive to NEStroid and Zero Mission - every other game has the functionality. @@voltron77

You might have the Gravity Suit, but that's not Drip, that's Drown.

Someone needs to get Jup to replay Metroid Desolation and get him to actually do a true ending run. Im sure he'd love it!
A metroid video - a like.
I'm a simple guy.
Pretty sure the check where Gravity was only requires bombs/power bomb to get, I've done that check plenty that way
yeah you just need to know How to wall / bomb jump it isnt that hard really

32:45 This is just a figment of your imagination, and never actually happened.

What is this? It's very simple, Samus is a slime girl
Dude, ur bomb jumping skills are insane haha! Very entertaining!
Always nice to get some Metroid stuff. Love Zero Mission and its randomizer.
doing a complicated bomb jump to enter a one-tile gap instead of just freezing the rippers #justgamerthings
Loving these Metroid playthroughs. Keep up the good work 😎
The one seed I played of Zero rando, I’m 99% sure power grip was locked behind power grip. It was annoying to beat.
hehehehehehe
Love watching randomizer keep up the great work!
36:40 Thank the gods for this tutorial Jupiter 🤣
This looks like a ton of fun I need try a randomizer of a Metroid game. Maybe fusion or zero mission perhaps!
Blue nor fair is actually pretty beautiful
You're doing ZM! Woo! I watch your Dawn of sorrow randos All the time! So much, I started playing it!
I want to say Samus looks like a zora from legend of Zelda, but really she just looks like she poured cyan paint on herself before starting this mission
So I’ve learn that when I try to horizontal bomb jump I suck at them but with keyboard I can do them perfectly what up with that???

Did you forget Chozodia Save Rooms refill energy/ammo like the ship?

How is 18:40 a softlock? Just leave the room and shoot the middle and upper block, jump in and morph ball
dope thumb nail
Dude, I've played this game since it came out.
I didn't know you could turn off the upgrades after you obtained them LOL
You can't in the normal game.
That's a feature added by the randomizer.
@@kirimusse
Was dummied out of the final game but can be hacked back in.
41:00
Morph ball has to be early get because you can't get to other areas without it so not really that random
No fair!
That actually blew my mind at 35:43
I enjoyed the tutorial lol these kinds of game play make me feel like such a noob but I’m okay with that lol
sigh...zero suit samus is sexy
Zero suit samus looks like a protestor XD.
JC do a Metroid II Rando(AM2R) have in hiself
why they gotta be black space pirates?lmao
I mean this with no offence, as it is pleasing to the ear, but, you speak with the cadence of Moria Rose
