Nice video. I changed my honda civic 2013 brake shoe same way. Tips for beginner: first remove the adjuster spring. That is not that hard. Then remove both side anchor pin and mounting clips and then lift the both shoes from bottom slots and then remove the bottom spring without any tension on it. After that just slide the both shoes upward and you can easily remove the top spring and adjuster. I followed same guide in this video for new shoes. I just used screw driver and simple plier for whole replacement process. Thanks you for great video. 😊
When I bought my used 2011 Lx it had Drums, something told me get Discs on the rear Seriously a lil small voice said get Discs. I never looked back. It's so much easier with Disc brakes! Thank God!
TRQ and 1A Auto have saved me so much time and money. I am truly grateful for the time that you guys put into making these videos and teach the regular guys like us to do tough jobs like this!
also, if you can't remove the drum because it's baked tight...the two holes on the drum are for the M8/1.25 bolts...screw it in and keep going until you separate the drum. You can use one or two at the same time.
I don’t understand how you’re supposed to re adjust the adjuster lever after you’ve installed the drum. Do you just leave them fully loosened? Because if you tighten them back you can’t fit the drum back on, but if you don’t tighten them back you have no braking power. Please help
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for this video! I found out to my amazement I had these drum brakes on my 2012 and while it took much more than 15 minutes as well as a whole lot more cuss words I got the job done. Also a thousand curses upon that top retention spring. Y'all make it look so easy and I just about decided to cut it off before it finally slipped out of it's hole and was replaced with a brand new spring.
on my 2014 honda civic my rear brake drum are stuck to the hub. I tried hitting it with a hammer to break it free with no lucK. i EVEN USED like solvent for rusty parts... what else can I do?

Use a shop vac or compressed air to spray out and clean the dust off everything. Never ever do what this guy did in the video. You do not want brake cleaner or parts cleaner getting in or around the rubber seals on the little piston in there.
What I learned is for brake drums only, use brake clean at first so dust doesn’t aerosolize because in many cases the brake dust is harmful and can contain asbestos so never use compressed air

Drum brakes! Hate is not a strong enough word.😢
Thanks, these close ups of the process are priceless! No class needed
The horseshoe pin tested every ounce of my patience.

How did the clean the mating surface so well, or did you replace the part?
Quite the thorough cleaning job. It almost looks like a brand new wheel bearing🤔

+Core Turkoane We do not have a video for this repair right now, but we'll keep this request in mind for a future video!
Half of my retaining spring is gone and my adjuster exploded so half of the hard work was already done for me
🤠👍
Excellent how to. Thanks
What did you use to spray clean the break?
Great video! Very well explained.
Thanks for this it’s just what I needed!
Brakes have no pressure. Bleeding doesnt help. Whats the issue?

Haynes repair manual does not recommend to use air to blow

Couldn’t even get the drum off lol
