Pilot or not, this content is insanely good. The whole production really. I’m starting my training (at 29) next week and this channel has made me realize that yes, commuting is going to suck-but the pros substantially outweigh the cons. Love the channel, love the personal touches. I’ll be there for the next layover. Cheers!

Was wonderful to finally “meet” the family. Was glad to see them enjoying their privileges as a reward for accommodating some of the inconveniences your career can impose on them when you’re not able to make it home sometimes. Videography was beautiful … as always!
The Captain you jump-seated with is a true pro. Love when he welcomes you after checking your credential and basically says don’t hesitate to speak up you are now part of the crew. Love it!

I loved how you kept the video engaging and family focused. As someone considering training to become a pilot I’ve worried about how that would impact my future family. This video showed me that while pilots aren’t always at home, they have great opportunities to spend quality time with their family all over the world! Thank you for being real in this video. Too many RUclipsrs create videos of their perfect lives and cut out the kinds of things that you included like flights not going according to plan, camera awkwardness (with your wife in the bloopers lol), etc. I liked and subscribed and can’t wait for more videos like this one!
Exactly. You lose being home every night but when you are home you can afford to do some pretty sweet stuff.
First of all, I stumbled across your channel and have been loving it. Secondly, you have an absolute beautiful family and you are teaching them patients when travel. I think that's most critical when you decide to travel around the world is be in the moment, and enjoy the journey. I lived in Atlanta for 35 years and traveled all that time. I'm a million miler on Delta but recently downsized and moved to Greenville GSP. Most of my flights are now GSP to ATL to my final destination. Thank you for making the world smaller and taking me along with you! Travel safe.

Your video is why I started to work for an airline as my “retirement” job after 28+ years working for the local government. Almost two years an averaging a trip a month getting ready to head to England and Scotland in a week or so. I agree that non reving generally leads to flying an “odd” schedule I look at it from the standpoint that the object is to get on the plane and then be sat as comfortable as possible

Man you give so much inspiration to many young and even older generations who have always wanted to achieve getting their pilots license or wanting to fly. You give such a better perspective on flying.
Love the videos you make, they are genuine and real. On another note, I just had my first 1.5 hours in a CAE 738 as part of the training selection. Man, that's cool! Hope to see you in a crew lounge one day!

I found your channel and seeing how you commute to a different station for work and how you broke it down cost wise makes me even more excited and motivated to reach the flight deck. Another great video! I have quite a few family members who are 'lifers' for our National Airline, Air Canada, so I'm very fortunate to have flown 'stand-by' (non-rev) on many occasions. a little stressful at first playing the waiting game, but after a few times you get to understand the process and ALWAYS have contingency plans if you don't get on a flight. I am surprised though that Delta does not have a dress code requirement for (non-rev) as Air Canada has had a dress code (no jeans or t-shirts) in case we do get to sit first-class/ business-class. Keep up the great work on your vids!

I also enjoyed you showing the “downside” of pass travel (sitting at airports for long anxious hours).

My wife and I love this channel. Can confirm there is no better feeling when you have been cleared on a pretty tight flight(my wife has the travel benefits). So far we have never been stuck anywhere but we have had to change cities before to get back home.
IIRC UK just raised the fees again.
Watching the interaction with you and your kids, your daughter having your eyes and you granting her wish to be in First class, your like the perfect family man with the perfect life. Whether you agree or not.... it just seems idealic how fortunate your family are and all the benefits your sacrifice afford them.

I remember flying non rev(stand-by) back in the day, and I remember having to deal with some of the stress of getting on a flight, getting bumped, or in between. Only got bumped a couple of times, and it was a lot easier back in those days where today every flight seems jam packed.
