My favorite memory in travel…My daughter and I would watch airplanes at MKE. She was 4 or 5 years old and could name all the airlines from her car seat! Today, 21 years later, she is an airline pilot. Her grade school teacher said, as she always looked out the school window, you’ll never get a job by looking out the window. Guess she was wrong. Congratulations on 100,000

My favorite travel memory was at the age of 8, I embarked on an unforgettable journey that would ignite a lifelong passion for aviation. From SFO to HNL to GUM, and then on smaller planes to Saipan and Tinian, each step brought me closer to my destiny. Mid-flight, the pilot asked if I wanted to take the controls, and despite my mother's hesitation, I eagerly accepted. Guiding the aircraft, I felt an indescribable thrill that sparked my love for flying. Since then, I've become a private pilot, served in the Army as a Chinook helicopter pilot, and now fly for a regional airline, fueled by the dream of one day joining a major airline. That single moment changed my life forever, forever binding me to the sky.

My favorite travel memory was when i flew allegant to mesa, AZ to see my dad in 2021. Ive always liked flying but havent had the chance to often enough. I picked the window seat and just watched out the window from takeoff to landing. Seeing the stars more clearly and passing objects like satellites on a night flight reminded me that it was only a 66 year gap from the first flight to the moon landing, and how lucky i was to be all the way up at cruising altitiude to see what i was looking at. Remembering that trip from 2 years ago has in part pushed my mind towards a career in flight, and finding your channel ultimately. Thanks for all the good content and congrats on the milestone!

I’m a single dad of a soon-to-be-10 year old daughter. I’m a part-time maths teacher and, up until COVID was working part-time for an airline, so benefited from cheap travel. Several times a year, beginning when my daughter was about three years old, the two of us have been heading-off somewhere around Europe, and sometimes the US, to see the sights, have some fun, and ensure my daughter is being exposed to as much as possible. Every trip is wonderful and magical, and they continue to be this way even though I’m now paying full-fare as the non-rev travel days have ended! It’s the best of times, and long may it continue.
Thanks for developing a great channel and filming inspiring videos, particularly those involving your family - which, for me, are just as interesting as the flying.

While in college at Texas Tech in Lubbock, TX (1992-1996), the Tech Band “The Goin’ Band from Raider Land” was invited to march at the St Patrick’s Day parade in Dublin, Ireland. About 200 (of just over 400) of us were able to go. Most of us had never been out of Texas, much less the US. That trip was the best. We were there for 6 days in Ireland an 2 days in London on the way back. We toured all over Ireland. The Cliffs, Waterford, everywhere. We were warmly welcomed everywhere we went. And offered Guinness every, too. I tried, I tried hard but couldn’t drink it, but I’m not much of a drinker.
During the parade, we were cheered on as if we were a local group. It was just amazing.
We arrived late into London and those of us with tickets to Les Miserables were almost denied entry! But we got in and I’ve never seen anything like it. It was the 1st major musical I saw live.
The next day I went alone on the Underground to meet some of my friends to see a musical called “The Buddy Holly” story. He was a singer/songwriter born in Lubbock. After the matinee, we spoke to some of the cast at the stage door because they had better accents than we did! We had some Lubbock trinkets to share with people we met and we gave that cast.
I’m still good friends with a few people that were on that trip and it’s something I will always treasure. And of course my mom, she went with us. Without her I couldn’t have gone. Watching your videos reminded me again how much fun we had. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for sharing this with us. Your family is lovely and gracious to share their precious time with us.
My favorite travel memory is the entirety of a 2 week trip to the UK. New Year's Eve in Edinburgh, Scotland; driving in Scotland and Ireland, visiting the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff, the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland; getting lost without a map in Northern Ireland; the castle at Kilkenny, and the Beauty of St Stephen's park in Dublin.
I was trying to pick one experience from the trip, but each has a special place in my heart.
I think part of what makes them special is the human element, the broken suitcase, renting wheelchairs due to a non-travel related injury, rolling with detours when the map has failed - and trusting you will get where you are supposed to be at some point, things like that. They make the experience unique.

It was February 8th 2022 my 41st birthday. I was I was so terrified 😬and expressed that this was my first time flying to the pilot as I boarded. He joked that they only crash a few times a year. I responded with bulging eyes but he quickly made it clear that he was only joking 🙃 My neighbor on the flight was really nice and was understanding of my fear of flying. She reassured me that everything would be fine and she allowed me to hold her hand during take off. I mumbled screamed under my breath as I was taken away by the force of the take off. Once in the air I felt a little woozy from the turbulence but the views from the skies were worth it. Great videos, lovely family. Thanks for sharing your world. It’s so cool. Favorite travel memory: Just last year I decided to run a full marathon. I didn't pick just any marathon; I chose the Jungfrau marathon in Switzerland. I trained for months and months, and finally flew out to Switzerland (first time) in September. We spent a day in Zurich and then took a train to Interlaken. The country is insanely beautiful. The day before the race my wife and I paraglided over the town and it was spectacular. The next morning, I ran 26.2 miles through stunning villages, along a river, and up a mountain. It was the hardest thing I've ever done, but it might have been the best too. We went back to Switzerland again 3 months later because we loved it so much and my wife even wants to move there now. If you ever have the chance to travel...DO IT.

Scotland always has that sweet smell of it rains and the scenery in the Scottish Highlands is incredible! We had a great time in London visiting the Zoo and even finding a tiny little restaurant called the Dockland's Diner, in the Dockland's area, that had an outstanding breakfast!

My favorite travel memory is when I went to live in the South of France (Montpellier) for five months while my parents were teaching there/on a sabbatical. It was amazing going on quick and beautiful train rides throughout France and Barcelona. It was somewhat hard to speak the language but I took 2 years of French before and during my time there in French public schools- with lots of vacations. We toured around Northern France such as Normandy, Lyon, and other places as well as Switzerland and Italy. I always write down the things that we did in a little travel journal the day of so that I can remember and cherish those family moments spent with family. I'm going again to Europe in a few days and can't wait to experience a new country on my bucket list!!

My husband became disabled overnight and we had to move back to the UK from Spain. Our friends gifted us a cruise to Hawaii cos they were so inspired by our story and my husband not being paralysed. We've always been adventurers so I managed to get him on a boat in Lahaina to go whale watching. My husband is amazing as he never gave up even when things looked as bad as they can get. Today he walked 50metres with Nordic walking poles. Now everyday is an adventure, not to give up and keep the challenges going. I love your videos and your optimism. That's what life is all about x

This is HANDS DOWN my favorite video of yours!! The whole car on the tracks thing had me giggling along with you! lol
Favorite travel memory: I was about 8 yrs old when I went on my first airplane ride. My mom "made" me wear a navy blue dress and we flew from Houston to San Francisco on Continental Airlines. I still remember the feeling of being thrust back into my seat as the process of takeoff began. I didn't know quite what to think at the moment but it is THAT moment that sticks with me and why the whole physics of flight still baffles me. I am an avid plane spotter to this day and at age 51, I still long to become a pilot for a major airline.

My favorite travel memory was when my grandpa and grandma took my brother and I (this was 43 years ago) to Colorado in their pickup and they had a pickup camper on the back. We had so much fun traveling for 2 weeks, fishing for trout, stopping and seeing relatives, getting to experience things that I had not had the chance to experience, even though my family usually went on vacations every year. It just was a fantastic trip and even thought my grandparents aren’t alive anymore, I’ll never forget those 2 weeks we got to spend with them. BTW, I loved your video.

my happiest memories are from a few spots that have quite a few people at once, with just the right mood. It's more about the people, for me. I like pedestrian places, where you mostly see people going on foot and you don't hear the sound of engines. So a few places check these boxes. My favorite is Venice, in shoulder season and avoiding the most busy parts.

In the mid 80’s I traveled to Southern California. I was staying in North Hollywood. Woke up very early on a Sunday morning and ventured out to the Hollywood Bowl, much to my surprise I was able to literally walk in to the venue and walk right up on stage. I belted out the first verse of Here Comes the Sun, It was a total out of body experience, goosebumps overtook my body, I could feel the energy of the facility racing through me !!!!
I’ve never felt this type of rush since.
    Congratulations on 100,000 🤙

My favorite travel memory was when I was 7 years old and my family drove from Mississippi to California to see family there. We were in a Ford Courier pick -up with a camper shell on it. We took 5 days to get there because we were site seeing on the way and we stayed at KOA or similar campgrounds. At night we put the luggage in the cab of the pick-up, I along with my sister slept on slats my dad designed across the with of the camper shell and my mom and dad slept below us in the bed of the truck. It was for a 7 year old a great adventure and something I will never forget.

Slowly working my way through your videos! Enjoying them all! Travel is the best thing any of us can do. It gives us an appreciation for things larger than us! Before I was married and had kids, my best friend and I traveled to all 50 states on our motorcycles (well he lived in Hawaii for a while so we technically didn't ride TO Hawaii, but you get it) and half of Canada. Love Moab too! My wife is Portuguese and some of her family still lives in Portugal so we are slowly expanding our travels in Europe! We have a great pasteis de nata recipe if you want it too!

Something almost always went wrong, like the time we were in the Great Smokies in a thunderstorm in our popup camper, which started leaking all over the place.
