  • It's summer. Let's make a strawberry tart from scratch! This is a very simple and easy Italian dessert. Typically with fresh fruit on top, but we love the strawberry version. The tart base is a delicious buttery dough, blind baked and cooked until crispy, custard creme or creme pat as filling, and fresh strawberries glazed with simple sugar and lemon syrup!
    I didn't have tart rings, so I had to improvised, that made my tart crust a little chunkier than I thought! It tastes great though and a very good combo of flavors!

    Let's make it together:
    Makes 2 nine inches tarts.
    250 gr Fresh and Sliced Strawberries
    For the Crust:
    350 gr AP Flour
    50 gr Almond Flour
    150 gr Powder Sugar
    1 TSP Salt
    170 gr Cold Butter
    2 TBSP Orange Liquor
    70 gr Egg
    For the Custard:
    480 ml Milk
    75 gr Sugar
    1 pinch Salt
    30 gr Cornstarch
    3 Tsp Vanilla extract
    3 Egg Yolks
    1 Egg
    40 gr Butter
    For the Glaze:
    150 ml Water
    45 gr Sugar
    2-3 Drops of Lemon Juice
    1 Tsp Corn Starch
