Which would you recommend for the newest adapter boxes? Still can not get this to work with iPhone mirroring
What did you press on the radio to get it to boot. Did it just auto boot? If I plug it into my 2017 Camaro will I have to select something? “Once it’s connected” is a important step that we didn’t see in this video
It just auto boots when the power on the radio is turned on. The connection is just a USB to the Apple CarPlay or Android Auto USB port.

The Head Unit, MID Display Unit are all OK. No issues. I do not have issues with HORN.
All parts are OEM.
However, none of the steering button controls are functioning when the MID Display is in STANDBY SCREEN MODE.
First, I have to play media either via Aux, CD or FM using the buttons on the Head Unit. Only thereafter, all steering audio controls are working as normal. Is this normal? Are the steering controls designed to work only when first media is being played.
I have also confirmed changes in voltage to the signal input line whenever any steering buttons are pressed.
Please help to fix why buttons are not working when MID Display is in standby mode. Thanks.

So will this work with aftermarket Sony XAX-AX receivers? I have the AX-5000 and it has wired CarPlay but most of these wireless dongles always exclude Sony products.

Yes only if the radio has Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, this does not add that functionality.

Can you just do a wireless Bluetooth dongle?

Hello I have an older car and don’t know what radio size to get. I kind of wish I could get apple car play but I don’t think it would fit. Is it possible to add car play to my old car it’s a 1993 Toyota Camry.
The Sony xav model has a 6 inch screen and it fits in a regular size car radio it’s not a big block it’s just the screen that sticks out that should work for you

You say in your videos, that ANY phone can be mirrored. Then when I asked how? You tell me mine can't, that's not what you state in your videos. So either change titles of those videos or remove them entirely
What phone do you have? It’s the wired connection that is not compatible with some phones, namely the Pixel phones.
Your radio must also support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto
@@Qualitymobilevideo well I have a pixel 6 with android auto and my jvc is wired for Android auto and the guy who responded back told me I couldn't. Therefore the titles are wrong.
