ive got the grimspeed inlet..did it with my ets intake and my grimspeed ebcs and a cobbs XFL recirc valve i beleive its called...next mod im goin to is the tmic, its gotta, i hate charge temps like that, mazda speed6 had one, had to go, just horrible for heat soak, theyre great as far as lag, not existent but one or two pulls and it starst to climb...i reallly like the way they designed the verticooler to sit the way it does becoz its not collecting all the rising heat right into the fins instead it can rise past the corem
Yea I'm happy with. It fits in their snuggly and you do notice a huge difference in intake temps. Even when the car is on but sitting in a one spot, those intake temps drop quickly once you get moving.
I've been contemplating it. I have a pretty conservative tune right now, nothing crazy. I don't want to run too much torque and wear out the clutch though. Also the new VB's have been really tempting, you can make easy power on those with an ethanol tune.
i got rid of my stock bypass valve at like 20k miles because it leaked horribly, started to get these lil sqeauks that just reminded me of a leaking blow off valve just muffled
@@alexstranford756 I don't think there were torque specs for the duct bolts. I made them hand tight and haven't had an issues. The threads were extremely tight on mine though, so I had to tighten and loosen the bolts/nuts to get them to fit properly.
It's actually been holding on well where I have it. Don't remember if I mentioned it in the video but I just mounted it to the bracket from the OEM intercooler that's on the passenger side. Perfect access from underneath when I'm changing my oil too.
Lmao 😂, it's definitely one of the more annoying installs I've done, but it's worth it. Intake temps stay nice and cool now and no more heat soak even on hot days
Great video! I have the same strut bar and was wondering if the verticooler would fit in with it. This confirms it!
Glad you enjoyed the video 👍

Nice! I have the silver verticooler. You have to get on flex brother. E85 a great supporting mod.

I'm actually surprised mine didn't break when I did this install. I was man handling that thing lol
I thought this would be for an older model so confused on how that thicc boy was gonna fit lol
It was a tight squeeze but it looks nice in the engine bay.
Do you now the bolt specs for the scoop duct
Do you mean torque specs for tightening? I don't think there were any for those bolts, I just made sure mine where snug.
@@alexs_wrexI have the same question. Do you know the specs for the bolt/nuts that hold the duct on?
