I had a problem when my gauge would rise one or two marks above half mark. The engine would run hot but not overheat. Took it to the mechanic. They ran some tests. No leaks. Pressure is fine. They replaced two thermostats amd that solved the problem. Now my car is always a ted below half mark.
Thank you for letting me know, and it's also very helpful too! I'll be replacing an engine on my current vehicle due to an head gasket leak, before I get myself another vehicle!
Thanks
My temp only goes up when I haven't drove it in awhile . It goes up and after a few seconds it goes back down to normal but after that with driving around it don't go up
The needle stays hot even overnight! But the car never runs hot! But occasionally it goes to normal!🤷
I had this issue took my car to Nissan and they did a cooling system flush. I haven’t had any problems since.
Thanks for the info
I have the same situation
I change the thermostat, coolant sensor, temperature sensor and still on high I might change the water pump
I have opel astra h 2005 1.9 cdti and when i hoing uphill temp is abour 97-100c. Normaly is 86c. Is this normal?
Can cold air make my oil pressure pressure stay on high but sitting still need a answer
Temperature gauge is usually at 40%. But when I start flooring it or driving with a little more urgency, it goes up to 50%. It stays there until I drive with less pace. It doesn't go past 50% though. Any ideas?
My gauge keeps bouncing from cool to all the way hot, my coolant is also starting to boil if driving for too long, anyone know what’s up ???
Thermostat would be my guess, going through the same thing. Lmk what happened once you find out if you can
Can someone tell me, my temperature gauge needle goes up fast as soon as I start the car, but it stays in the middle. I thought it was suppose to rise slowly. Any tips please
its probably not working, unless maybe you park it somewhere relatively hot
On my Pontiac the gauge will go all the way say it’s over heating then make the car go into some mode where u can only go so fast. I don’t see any leaks I replace Copland sensor dk what else I can be was told thermostat was replaced
Lots of new parts are crap these days. You might have a bad thermostat.
@patrickdean7244 I've changed thermostat twice
Temperature sensor
My 89 454 motor temperature starts to rise then it pins to hot or max after a few minutes of driving. Not a gradual needle move but an instant swing. What might be my issue?
Definitely a faulty gauge
My van i put new gadge cencer on it start up gadge goes up to hot slow but not run hot but when engine warms up its it start no start its hot any body no
Temperature gauge rises but never overheats when going uphill. Took it to a mechanic and they said there’s nothing wrong with it. And yet I see that needle go up every morning on my way to work :/ they don’t believe me lol
Take a video next time or leave the car for them to test drive
I have the same problem
I’m literally having the same problem it only happens when I’m going to work in the e morning and sometimes when I drive here and there
I just replaced my thermostat because it went bad on me and I just drove it and it was fine. But then I stopped for 10 minutes to let it run after driving it for an hour and a 1/2. And it started heating up again and the needle started going into the red and then as soon as I drove it, it cooled it, but then when I stopped it did it again
Viscous clutch fan needs silicone oil replaced
My car doing the same I need help
It's the thermostat and a easy fix
@@hotboi466 hey still running hot brand new thermostat and sensor it's a crack in the radiator
I took my car to multiple mechanics for second, third, and fourth opinions but none of them is of a great mind apparently. All of them saying something different, im just wasting my time and money because NC seems to not have any good mechanics. Even the dealership is guessing. 😢 What happen to i don't guess i check, just big talks i see.
