    Roadwork sucks hard but being able to outlast your opponent is a very special feeling. Become as unstoppable as you can and do it while you can because we all have that day when we won’t be able to and we will miss it. 🥊❤💯

      @coachv3436  5 месяцев назад +1

      I agree the only thing that sucks more than roadwork is not being able to pull the trigger when you need to. But once you have the gas tank, it’s hard to not want to maintain it after seeing what a game changer is 🥊📈💪🏼

    I used to really enjoy road work I used to just think about how badly I'm going to beat the hell out of my opponent because I'm getting in so much better shape LOL
    Great video like always coach V 🥊

      Funny, I used to think the same way lol whatever you gotta tell yourself to keep pushing. it’s funny what you come up with when you hit the wall and have to keep going

    i run 6 kilometres before my training..after that i have half an hour to sometimes 50 minutes to rest and then i go do the warmup again with the whole class ..training in a tired state has helped me a lot

    • @coachv3436
      @coachv3436  5 месяцев назад +2

      That’s pretty good. I wouldn’t do that before sparring session with a new opponent though, but depending on how many rounds you’re fighting the most important thing is the runtime within that distance

    That's the worst feeling in the world when you want to hit your opponent and you just can't pull that trigger. Stay on top of your roadwork boys...

    • @coachv3436
      @coachv3436  5 месяцев назад

      Absolutely I think that’s the only thing that feels worse than doing the running itself lol

    I love how you said as soon as you run out of gas, you're out of the race because it's like standing in front of an enemy with an empty gun when you can't throw a punches, you're just a target waiting to get hit. like you said
    Keep em coming coach!!!!!

    • @coachv3436
      @coachv3436  5 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks, man that’s the exact position you never want to find yourself and obviously I always emphasize you. You gotta pace yourself, but if you don’t have much to begin with, that can only go so far. Perfect example of stay ready so you don’t gotta get read!!

    Would you recommend the 3 mile time in 20 minutes or less for light heavyweight, cruiserweights , and heavyweights.

    • @coachv3436
      @coachv3436  5 месяцев назад

      If you can get down to that runtime, that’s excellent for that weight class. What is your 3 mile runtime now?

  • @mookngrits
    @mookngrits 4 месяца назад +1

    Sup Coach V…curious, for amateur (pro, too, if you don’t mind) heavyweights, in that 3 mile, what an ideal time for that distance..??…

    • @coachv3436
      @coachv3436  2 месяца назад +1

      What up champ, obviously you got a factor in the weight class difference but as close to that as possible is optimal!!

    agree running is crucial but running 3 miles isn’t gonna cut it in the amateurs, ur better of doing interval sprints

    • @coachv3436
      @coachv3436  5 месяцев назад

      I think you missed a part where I said to throw sprints in half way through and at the end and yes, three miles is plenty if you're making great time. Running long distance doesn't translate to prepare for a short fast paced three round fight

    • @user-vw7iw5fo9w
      @user-vw7iw5fo9w 5 месяцев назад

      @@coachv3436 But if one was to run 3 miles only for their whole prep, it’s not as effective as mixing up the runs, doing interval sprints, hill sprints and also 3 mile runs. It stimulates a fight pace better than doing a slower run compared to interval sprints. 3 mile runs should just be done as a recovery run. My coach who was European champ of amateurs and professionals even advised this to me and i been much better

    I dont belive runing alone is the best for increesing stamina.
    You have to hit the heavy bag as fast as possible as hard as possible for as long as possible.

    • @coachv3436

      Thanks for your input. But I never said running alone is the end all, Here i'm explaining how often and how far to run for amateur competition

  • @JamesJacked90

    It's funny because one of the most talented fighters in the world is James toney but the only reason why he lost any of his fights basically was because he went out of gas and didn't go as hard as he could have with the exception of the Roy Jones fight

    • @malemasterrace478
