I am also using MFT for landscape photography. My choice was based on budget and size/weight. I am now working on improving my photography and don't think back about my gear choice. Very happy with my G9.
That tree image at 2:56 is stunning, well captured! I use the OM-5 with 12-45mm, paired with whichever long or short prime I need. After lugging larger gear setups on hikes for years the size and quality of M43 is a delight!
Great video Jason. Yes, MFT has some distinct advantages for landscape even over FF. But your point about filters vignetting more on MFT is not true and seems like a misunderstanding. Filters vignette depending on the angle at which light enters the filter. And considering the angle of view of say a 9mm on MFT and 18mm on a FF are the same, filters will also vignette to a similar extent on both of them
Using MF3 means that I've abandoned tripods because of IBIS relative to DSLRs I mostly bracket anyhow so I don't need the added hassle of filters either. I've an ND/CPL combo if required And yes the lenses can fit in my pocket if required Finally the images like yours, aren't bad either 📷👍

Thanks. Yep… M43 is a brilliant option for hiking

I have the same thoughts about mft and full frame. I use old m1 mkii for a wildlife photography, and I'm happy with it. Good luck!

I agree although I still prefer to use a tripod so I can double check everything... but I don't feel like I always need to carry one now.
For GAWD'S sake LOSE THE BACKGROUND MUSIC!
I’m guessing the idea from you (and others!) that you don’t like the background music 😂 noted for future videos
