I sold all my L-mount kit and now use a G100D and 15/1.7 ( alongside a Leica film camera ). Yes, Lumix release a GX update please. Your photos are great and interesting ( liked the wrapped and ready to go live chickens ) - please keep them on screen for longer than 2 seconds .
Hi Donald. Thanks for watching! Sometimes I do get a little tempted to dive all in into MFT and sell all my full frame gear. But for now full frame does have its place in our workflow so we're happy to have both systems. I was amused too when I first saw the wrapped chicken in the market, we don't see this in West Malaysia. Also, thanks for the feedback about the screen-on time for the photos. I'll try to keep them longer next time. Cheers!
I agree 100% with your views on the compact series. I too have the GX9 and believe that the 12-32, 35-100 (kit lenses) and 25 1.7 are the best value lenses I have! I miss MY a LOT, wish I could go back again... Lovely video, terima kasih!
@@alandargie9358 Hi Alan! Thanks for watching and commenting 😁 Yeah there are a lot of hidden gems in the MFT system. The 20mm f1.7 pancake is another beauty and I'm currently on the lookout for any good deals on a used copy. Do visit MY again! Nasi Lemak, Laksa, Roti Canai, Mi Kolo, Satay and many more are waiting for you!
Thanks for the comment! Nothing really beats the overall compact form factor of MFT system. You can assemble a kit comprising tiny cameras and lenses that still perform reasonably well in terms of IQ. It's for this reason I will always have a soft spot for MFT.
Thanks! Glad you like the pics and video of Sarawak! Yeah, S5II is a great camera too, just maybe not for street photography, but for everything else it's a beast!
Super price on your GX9. LUMIX has discontinued the GX body line. There will never be an updated GX camera with PDAF. This is related to heat issues and the larger battery required for the new sensor and engine. I am hoping LUMIX will put the PDAF sensor in the S9 body. I just returned from a week of street photography in NYC. I brought the GX9 with the 12-60 kit lens and 25/1.7. I love this camera. I bought the S5ii. It refuses to focus ~ 20% of the time. A giant disappointment. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
@@martingreenberg870 Hi Marty! Thanks for watching. It's a bummer to hear that Lumix has discontinued the GX line. But if they put the PDAF sensor in the S9 body and keep the mechanical shutter I guess I'm okay with that too. Just keep making smaller MFT cameras like they used to. Congrats in your S5ii! I find the focus to be much better in AF-C since it still uses DFD in AF-S mode. I keep my S5ii on AF-C all the time and the focus has worked well for me, certainly better than all the previous DFD bodies. Perhaps you could give this a try? Lip Wen
Hey David, thanks for watching and commenting! I'm still experimenting on my editing so any constructive criticism is appreciated! I'll make sure to improve them in the next video. Cheers.

You are lucky to get the GX9 for 1500 ringgit.... I got my GX85 for 1900 (although it comes with the kit lens)
Yea the price is too good to miss haha.
SC around 40k, I consider this a steal, comes with the kit lens also.
Nice video my man, am a big S5II fanboy myself. really enjoyed the pics and video of Sarawak.

Next time can you write the camera and lens in black on the pictures ? It will be way easier to read...
