“If people are doubting how far you can go, go so far that you can’t hear them anymore.” Anything is possible
So, about three months ago My therapist noticed that I was having a very hard time keeping my thoughts together, and remembering crucial details. So he asked me if I had ADHD. I sat there for a moment going "huh... you know, I've never been diagnosed with it. But if I have it that would of made a lot of my struggles throughout school make a lot more sense." And so, he started asking me about my time in school.
I basically told him that I've never been a fan of homework, that oftentimes it would take me several hours to complete one math assignment and it was a struggle. I also told him about my time in creative writing, where I didn't fail the coarse because I wasn't doing the assignments. I failed the coarse because I got too inspired and started working on too many projects at once. Couldn't finish them due to time constraints. My parents often chocked it up to me being lazy, inattentive, and just generally not caring. By the time I graduated HS, I had to fight hard for a D in both math and Senior Seminar just to barely pass, and graduate with the rest of my class. You can imagine how badly that got me in trouble with my parents.
I entered the work force, and for about six years I've been the average, quiet guy that everyone kinda avoids, but doesn't fire because he's a hard worker.
Long story short, my therapist sent me to my primary care and had me tested. The results were overwhelmingly positive. I got put on medication, and now--within the last three months--I have become an employee of the month nominee and everyone counts on me. It's been surreal. I've also noted a greater ability to focus on my creative goals, and now have a plan for how to get the fantasy series I've been working on my entire life off the ground, and made into a TV series. It all honestly makes me wonder what my life would of been like had I been diagnosed way sooner. What I could have accomplished, and it's all exciting to think about!
So please. If those of you reading this suspect you may have it: then get yourself tested! You might be far more capable than you think!
Thanks for this I relate so much to this! I get my results back next week all my life I’ve struggled so much with starting something and then not completing it. Hoping to just have a better life 🙏🏾

"I wonder if I have ADHD..." *clicks on video, 26 seconds later gets distracted
Whoa
I lasted almost 4 min before going for test
I got distracted by reading this comment
I actually watched to the end.. but only because i could watch the drawing of the drawings :D
I have HDHD and I'm figidey, distracted, loss of memory, and focusing issues
@@vxbez2840 ok
Thanks for that video, people should be educated about adhd. 😇
Have a nice day you all. ❤️
Ok but how many of you actually stayed for the whole video?
😂😂😂
Not hard when you watch on 2x
have i shown you the world of downloading videos so that you can actually finish it and not just watch 3 minutes of it and then click off?
I did: I'm a teacher and I have these pupils/students in my classes, but we get very little help to manage these persons. It's much easier with dyslectic students. The explosive/unpredictive side of ADHD is very tiering for everybody involved. Very informative, thank you.
@@anna-lenameijer9942 a lot of times adhd isn't treated as an actual illness and people don't make an effort to make us feel safer and understood so thank you for being that person to your students, im sure it'll mean a lot to them as it does to me :)
A smaller brain eh? I guess that's just in some of us. The size may or may not be helpful in whatever neurology they have. Who's to say what underdeveloped means? --besides resulting in behavior that the evaluator may not favor. I'd tread carefully with these terms. You have not even mentioned "rejection sensitivity". This is a very common symptom.
damn.. i had it.. no wonder i have no friends... :(
I feel you buddy
Thank you so much for the video and the test! I never thought I was ADHD before, but I could relate to this
ADHD is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders of childhood. It is usually first diagnosed in childhood and often lasts into adulthood. Children with ADHD may have trouble paying attention, controlling impulsive behaviors (may act without thinking about what the result will be), or be overly active.
Please make a video and test like this for OCD.
Zoned out watching this and only got 5.13 in before stopping. May have ADHD 😂

For those who are in the rush of changing their lives :-)
Where is the mention of exceptional positive attributes common with ADHD. List any below that you are aware of:
I always finish the job or clean every spec of dirt!
My son diagnosed with it, but he's normally one of the smartest kids in class.
HYPER FOCUS!!!
At least that's what it is called in my language. Basically the Ability to concentrate on something hard enough to actually not even recognize when someone repeatedly calls for you.
-A stronge sense of justice
-Tolerance
-Creativity
-The Ability to learn increasingly faster and easier the more we are interested in a topic, up to a ridiculous lvl
-Non linear thinking
-the ability to tolerate higher stress levels than a non ADHD person (double edged sword trust me I know)
-multitasking
-incredibly fast reflexes
-island knowledge
And many more, I just can't think of rn because I'm tired.
I don’t call it ADHD but mega awareness of things around me😜.
@@Serothil_and_stuff sick 😁
Great video man!.Love this!.😎
Thank you so much for this video!
Been waiting for this video😭
i ended up pausing the video for like a hundred times and do other stuffs before ultimately finishing it, not sure if im just uninterested or my ADHD is kicking wildly
ADHA is about… I think i left my keys in the car.
Heyyyyy I've heard of ADHD!! Its what they usually diagnose little Black boys with in school
Nah, that’s what the parents diagnose their kids as an excuse for their kids behaviours and bad parenting
lol that sounds kinda racist in a way
thankQ ... very informative video
I feel like this video isn’t geared towards an adhd audience at all. It’s long, slow, and not hugely interesting. I had to watch in 2x speed and full screen mode to stop myself from getting distracted by the comments.
whoosh..after taking that test looks like I gotta see a professional.
Is it smart to make a video about ADHD and for ADHD people 10 minutes long? :-D :-D Love it, but had to watch it couple times to focus :-D
Hyperactivity and impulsiveness
being unable to sit still, especially in calm or quiet surroundings.
constantly fidgeting.
being unable to concentrate on tasks.
excessive physical movement.
excessive talking.
being unable to wait their turn.
acting without thinking.
interrupting conversations.
Well that link for free ADHD test was so difficult to find the link. It has other free test but no ADHD and lost concentration and gave up. 😔
What about add?
Attention deficit disorder
It’s called ADHD inattentive
How about for women?
I tried to watch this but stopped to make dinner then got a stain on my shirt and had to do the laundry then realized I had no laundry soap so I went to the store and forgot why I was there so I thought maybe I made a note in my phone. I didn't so here I am writing this comment in the household good section of walmart with $100 in crap but can't remember why I actually came here.
Agreed
Maybe some of the lazy kids and adults alike may have ADHD, I wonder. Thanks for this video.😘
You guys dont have adhd if you didnt go to the comment section first thing and not pay attention to the video at all and just started commenting out of boredom.
Cause I have adhd and thats what I just did XD
It’s weird having your entire life explained to you all the sudden.
i wish this had spanish subtitles so i could show it to my parents

What if I write all the english spoken in this video in this reply and you convert it in spanish in google translate

Who knew this guy will create a powerful YT channel (Whiteboard Crypto)!😉
IS THIS WHITEBOARD CRYPTO???
None of my class mates had ADHD. No one in my school, neighbourhood or city had ADHD. No one even knew such a thing existed. ADHD is the trendy name for bad behaviour.
No it’s where I literally am not physically able to sit still or think about 1 thing. It just means my minds like a bunch of p pole talking about random stuff that’s happening with 1 louder voice ( main thinking ). I’m very impulsive and wish I could just think normally and have had a horrible time in primary school because of this, even when I tried my hardest to focus. And I’ve only got it moderately ☹️
Anyone with mental illness just has thin skin then huh?
I can't even get through this video
So adhd is when a child doesn't act like a fully developed adult.... People use adhd as a badge of honour, first thing they say.... Hi my names Susan I have 2 boys both have adhd.... Oh you poor woman... That's OK we do our best.... Shuttup
Dude's a crypto psychopath
I have an HDTV.

Brilliant! 😄👍
