Love to see more people talking about Flawed! I’ve been having so much fun helping new players build decks and play in the discord.
It seems like a cool concept but my main issue is that it’s a TCG and not an LCG (and LCG is just a TCG but there’s no random cards and each edition/set/expansion of the game comes in its own box, identical to all others in the same set). I love watching these videos cause the card games are cool concepts but the random card collecting aspect kind of ruins it

I want your opinions on the speed system.
On a card there is attack, life, and speed.
Speed is who gets to damage first, and who's ability gets to go first.
Cards with equal to or higher speed may be played in addition to another card that has been played, higher speed goes first otherwise last player goes first.
Some cards can be played in addition to a card despite low speed, but that will be an ability. Highest speed still goes first.
Could the cost be also the indicater for speed? If so, how will this change and what could make it better?
In generaly, is it a good addition? Is it complicated? Brutaly critic if you want.
been working on a TCGgame for some years from the back of my head (Very low intensive and 2 meltdowns during the time) and find this series awesome! Hope I get to release the game and see it here someday!
Flawed has one of the sickest idea I've ever seen. The customization is so awesome. I do think it might have some problems, like you said, but still. It's so cool.
Yeah it's definitely neat! Kinda unfortunate for them that Starwars Unlimited came outta nowhere with similar mechanics.

I am loving your videos. I'd love to you see cover Atlas CCG, also available on GameCrafter. Their rulebook is a hot mess but I figured it out. The art style is really fresh and different!

I almost backed FLAWED, but ultimately it was another TCG I didn't need after backing Drakerion and now Lorcana. I also didn't love how messy the cards got from stacking the cards, and I could see the game getting slowed down due to having to always reread cards.

Where is that table top simulator that you've been using, and how do people get their games on it?
It's a PC game on Steam. People just upload their cards on it and publish it to the steam workshop where others can download it.

I don't conceptually hate dice rolling in TCGs, but, uhm. That Will implementation is not the way to go. My spirit would be absolutely crushed if my alpha strike to win failed only because of crap dice rolls.

On am aside realization could we have had neato icons for the will that abstractly means stuff. Like courage or what not amd a custom die. That way we could at least be like he attacks ciz he's brave I dunno.i think I'm polishing bad mechanics here....crazy !

Sometimes the devs just got favorites!
- That Flawed has a lot of interesting mechanics.. mostly the "BattleTech TCG" Speed and the transparent "Gloom" customization. It does seem too overwhelming and kind of ugly.
- Legion's "Capacity" gave me an idea for a Board Game, where "Locations" have "Capacity" that is checked at the "End of Round" and "Units" fight between themselves to stay if "Crowded"! That's all the good things I have to say about it "."
- Monstrider : "Dragon Goalie", enough said.... yeah.
All in all.. we really NEED someone to invent a new Resource system, because what Magic started is getting tiresome.. I really wished Decipher came back.

Grand Archive has a cool new resource system.
Monstrider looks weak in terms of art and worldbuilding, but it was the best of the 3 in terms of the game system imo

Uh oh looks like Flawed is committing a TCG sin.

@foyoGames IIRC the sin of non standard card size. Kohdok talks about why games like Heka-Tomb or Redakai failed, and one of the reasons it failed was because they used clear plastic cards to add additional effects.
This can be an issue for a few reasons:
1. The plastic will break over time,
2. As Game Crypt touched on the topic a bit, another key issue is being able to run 4 copies of the same card but having the clear plastic contain different effects can easily lead into confusion and actually be pretty detrimental to the player base,
3. Having to print out more clear plastic effect covers will cause the price of the game to inflate if they don't maintain a good threshold of players. (this is one of the reasons that Redakai ended up failing, because it didn't have enough of a player base to keep supporting it.)
@@ATable4Youthe Flawed cards are standard size, same sleeves you would use for Magic or Pokémon. The two cards can fit in perfect fits and regular sleeves, AND over sleeves if you’re feeling frisky
@@roseboatman693 when I say non standard card size I was referring to the title of Kohdoks video where he talks about how cards that use the plastic layers are typically gimmicky and can easily be an annoyance for the player base.
@@ATable4You Your second point there is especially headache inducing. Kind of crazy to have a limit on card copies but allow them different add-ons.
