Watercolor & Ink Urban Sketching || Evening Street Scene

Urban Sketching an evening scene in watercolor is a challenging task. At the same time it is very rewarding too, as watercolor is excellent in creating a sense of mood and light. I paint this street view using an line and wash technique. I first put down my line work using a Sailor Fude nib pen followed by layers of watercolour.
I am a regular urban sketcher, actively involved with Urbansketchers Mumbai chapter. I use this same approach whether I am sketching outdoors or sat at my desk.

The materials I use in this demo are as follows:
Paper: @ArtLoungein 100% cotton watercolour paper, A4
Paints: Assorted artist grade watercolours
Brushes: 6, 12 round, 2 mop, 3/4" flat
Pens: Sailor Fude De Mannen pen (Carbon Black ink), white glass pencil.
