What's the top rotisserie chicken for you?
Wegman's.
Giant Eagle
Definitely Wegman's!!!
BJ’s has very good Rotisserie Chicken!
I’m so hungry for chicken now. Lol
Steroids for chickens are banned by the USA Government so stating that the chickens are steroid-free is like bragging that your new car has seatbelts!
So are hormones in USA chickens
I don't know, those Churches wings are suspiciouly large.
@Bob Sanders Do you actually think Trump has been enforcing safety rules?
@@markkelly3859 Stuck in 24/7 TDS?

A friend who cooks the chicken at Costco told me they are guaranteed to be minimum 3 lbs cooked. Way bigger than any regular grocery store in my area.
I live in Florida. Just hit the Cuban spot and get the baked chicken you get a 3-5 pound plate of food for 6 or 7 bucks.
Any hood in the Northeast has a 🍗 spot doing the same.
I'm glad you gave some love to Sprouts. Honestly, I've never found a more tender rotisserie chicken.
I'm in Canada, and I would say Costco has the best one out of all chains. I'm surprised that it has the best one in the US too.
Lee Wang Costco doesn’t play around with their fresh food haha I love it all. The turkey rollers are amazing as well!
Yep same here costco chickens are juicy !
Costco is often undercook
I go to I.G.A
Sounds like you dnt get around much.
I love my Sam’s club chicken. And the price 4.98. Wow. Love it.
Abd it's usually 3lbs as opposed to most chains being 1-1.5lbs!
I bought two for the first time at Kroger a week ago and was impressed with the taste. Well seasoned ,almost no fat ,tender, and hot .l must say that they were not as large as Sam's but the only scraps were the bones.Always look for the ones that are a little darker because they seem to be more done
Because Kroger is underrated and a lot of people hate them
I find Costco chicken slightly undercooked and underseasoned for my taste. I usually put it in the oven at home for 30 more minutes.
Only twice have I bought a Costco chicken that inside was under cooked (thigh joint, back). It's too bad I live far away to just bring it back.
Is it too juicy for your taste? Do you prefer a dry, stringy chicken?
I used to work at foodmaxx and I would make these chickens. We never sold leftovers as fresh ones the next day. The ones from the day before would now be in the cold section and marked down
Ralph’s Supermarket and Whole Foods Market are my favorite places. Both stores sell BBQ, lemon pepper, herb seasoning.
This channel is always a giant infomercial for costco
I was going to say... who sponsored this? LOL
And they deserve it for putting out a good sized tasty bird. Mmmm
aaron lowinger that is because they have the best flavor roasted chicken!
I absolutely love Costco chicken! The size of their birds can't be beat and they always seem to be fresh. You can't buy a raw chicken that big for that low of a price! I always save the "jus" and the bones... I make homemade stock with them!
was in walmart one night about 9PM and they had marked down the chickens cheap, looked a bit dried up, but I got it, and cut into it and it was really good under the skin
Publix is great (but thanks for warning me about the BBQ). If you can't find it in the hot case, check a nearby refrigerated case.
Not only is it just as good (4-5 min. microwave) being cold, it's SNAP eligible.
Winn-Dixie, down south and Shop Rite in the northeast have some very good rotisserie chickens 🐓
Nice video keep them coming
The ShopRite chickens have always been consistent and tasty a good alternative instead of waiting on line at a Costco just for a chicken.
I would say wherever you live in the country, you might have two of these stores to go along with Walmart, Sams, and Costco.
Food City (A regional chain) here in Hazard,Ky has excellent rotisserie chicken. All flavors are good, but I like the Savory best. BTW The fried chicken is pretty good, too.
Glad you included Publix.
Publix is only located in the Southeast region of the United States. You may either travel or live in the Southeast to buy rotisserie chicken at Publix.
Smart & final, u can't go wrong, I've been buying there for a couple of years. 5 star
The Kroger roasted chicken is always cooked through and never boney or burnt when I buy it.
Thanks that was great!
Sam's Club. I actually just finished some before seeing this.
The fact that Costco sells so many chickens is one of the factors why it's so good. The chickens are sitting for hours or refrigerated after cooking. That being said it's pretty damn good out of the refrigerator as well.
Chicagoan's also LOVE Jewel's rotisserie chicken!! Good Eats!!
Kim Filippi and their fried spicy chicken wings omg they’re out of this world
I am from Chicago but moved away I miss jewel
If your ever down south (Louisiana , Mississippi ect ) try Rouse's . They're regional but seem to be expanding slowly .
For me
1. Winco
2. Costco
3. Sam’s Club
4. Kroger
59. Any chicken farm I could sneak onto and steal a chicken and cook over an open fire seasoned with dirt
60. Walmart
Must be the walmart where u are from. Walmart chicken is so good
J Eazz you know what? You are absolutely correct! Must have been having a brain fart or it’s my age. 👵👵👵
Gonna be getting some Costco chicken on Wednesday. Can't wait!!
I have lived in damn near every region of the u.s. and I have seen less than half of these stores
How have you not seen places like Kroger, Publix, or Walmart there all over my area and Bilo and Food lion
@@devon72 because Kroger and publix are regional brands? Walmart is a national brand everyone gas seen a Walmart but the last time I saw a public was when I visited family in northern florida and the last krogers I was at was with my great aunt in ft worth
@@ConstantChaos1 Yeah im from Georgia i think Publix actually started in Florida.
@@devon72 makes sense, I've only seen it in the old south (like the states that were in the confederacy)
The weirdest thing is I spent 10 times as long in Georgia as I have Florida but never saw any there
@@devon72 Dont forget Costco and Sams
Costco and Ralph's some of the too dogs when fresh super hot the meat so moist good flavor
Great review
In Texas, H E B has got a mesquite bbq rotisserie chicken that is the best I’ve had!
Several stores mentioned here I've never heard of and you missed some big regional players. H.E.B. is huge in Texas and they have very good rotisserie chicken.
I find their chicken to be really bland unless I get either the lemon/pepper or orange flavor. Their ice cream is actually pretty good and would be a good alternative to Ben and Jerrys but they dont seal it.
Most stores listed I have never heard of and I lived in a lot of places in the US. Only Sam's, Walmart, & Kroger are anywhere near me. All others are a very long drive taking many hours.
If you from Florida, Publix is number one in almost every thing. Best Hot/ Spicy Wings, best Subs/Deli, best Fried Chicken, beat Soups, best rotisserie chicken, best bakery.
Definitely omg 😩 561
Youleft out highest prices. It is a great store otherwise.
Publix is a quality store in virtually every department, and their people are almost always pleasant and helpful. You do however pay for that quality, they are always more expensive then the sad Winn Dixie down the road!
And if you are from Texas, you won't find any Publix. Publix is strictly in the Southeast.
Fresh market has the best
We prefer the taste of the sams club chickens over the costco ones. Just seems to be seasoned more,
I like Walmart chickens and have never had a problem with them I will have to try Costco chickens.
Walmart chicken is fine with me.
Walmart chickens are great
Love Sam's Club chicken. Used to like Sprout's chicken but they now use very small chickens for the price.
Sam's Club is amazing. I've never had a bad chicken from there. There's usually a line when they're cooking them. People race in to get them.
I've had the Costco chicken and it's a touch better than Sam's. I'd put Sam's at around 98% as good.
I have a Sam's Club membership only because it's closer. Costco seemed like a nicer store the few times I went there with someone.
Also I don't know about the beef at Costco, but the steaks at Sam's are exceptional. Way better than that "guaranteed you'll love it" garbage at WalMart.
Seriously if you want good beef, go to Sam's.
And maybe Costco. I'd assume they're close but I can't verify.
Publix shouldn’t be that low on the list. It’s also not pronounced “Mo-Jo” it’s “Mo-Ho”. It’s a Cuban style seasoning.
Every time I go to Costco there’s never chickens out.
You're right. They're definitely sleep on the lemon pepper chicken also. My brother brought one for my French class junior year, and all that was left was the carcass.
I only have Costco and Sam's club in my area from your list of stores. Living near Hershey Pa we have Weis, Karns, and Giant grocery stores.
We love the Costco ones
well thanks to this video I will know which stores to avoid for rotisserie chicken and which ones I should keep my eye out for, but for me, Costco and winco is my main go-to stores for these birds
Never had winco chicken before. Are they good? How much are they?
@@jessewashere4734 just as the video says about winco chicken but it's best for you to go to a winco near you if you do, and get one yourself
I think the Walmart chickens are good. The 'extra' salt makes the flavor pop.
Food Lion, which you didn't feature, sells 2 different sizes. This is one case where the little chicken is preferable.
I like it and I always buy one each time I go
Wait. I'm a bit of a rotisserie chicken connoisseur and while I do agree with the Walmart opinion, our Kroger has absolutely amazing chicken. It's a huge treat for us actually. Juicy and extremely flavorful, never lacking of substance either. It will last us 3 days usually.
which one do you get? Their 'baked' chicken is awesome. Their plain or 'savory' rotis chicken is kind of bland--but the rotis chicken does come in some other flavors. I needed most of the meat for another recipe and thus got the basic 'savory' one.
I use to be a Kroger deli manager. They had 3 kinds and a colossal chicken. Came from Tyson. It was all timed & at least in my deli they came out well cooked, juicy & good. Very popular. We also did turkey breasts. Very meaty. Then we had the fried, baked & bbq chicken pieces. On a good weekend we had tons of special orders…. Churches, parties getting 50, 100 or 200 pieces. This to me meant the customers had trust in the product. Problem was … you could go to a Kroger a few miles away & their deli employees made horrible chicken. Just depends on the staff. I live in Cincinnati where Kroger is based
@@PJL7095 I saw the turkey at the one near me. I may have to get back over there, especially if they keep running the '2 things from the hot table for $10' deal. I think food prices are going to keep going up for a while, maybe never go back down.
the Clamato shirt lol 😂
Have always had good luck with Fred Myers/Kroger Safeway around my house is pretty much a miss most of the time.
I always like Costco and sam's warehouses.Because the do on gas rotisserie, others when are made electric taste terrible.
If you can find them, WonderRoast chickens are the best! Hard to find, usually at smaller grocery stores, but by far the best.
Sprouts and Costco have the best rotisserie chickens in my area. Never a disappointment .
just as i was about to comment exactly this !!
Price at smart final 6.50 4a jumbo
I got sick eating Costco rotisserie chicken. Never brought it again! After this review, I may try it again!
While not on this list, I think Crest foods has a great rotisserie chicken. I ways buy from Crest or Sprouts and they are pretty close in terms of flavor and quality of meat.
Both me and my Mom enjoy Jewel-Osco’s No Salt 🧂 Added Rotisserie Chicken, nice and plan so we can have it whatever flavor we want when we get home. I like Lemon 🍋 or Orange 🍊 flavored Chicken and my Mom likes it plan, once in a while she likes the Lemon 🍋 though.
Central Market had the best rotisserie chicken by far. The Herb as well as the Nashville Hot rotisserie chicken are the best
I agree
Jackson Walker
I was told by a butcher at Central Market that when chicken is near the sell date they send them over to the deli for rotisserie. Just sayin'.
That's interesting about Costco. I do most of my shopping there.
Sam's has the best chicken I've found. But, Sam's moved away from me. I will try a couple others you recommend. Costco and Shop Rite.
I never get out of Costco without buying a chicken from there. They are so good
I live in Ontario. Food basics and lowblaws is my faves
The guy at 1:00 was not ready 😂
I like Smart&Final...
They use Foster Farm chickens 👌
I live in a small town in central Fl, my grocers are walmart, Publix and Winn Dixie. Who has the best, looking for flavor and best, not concerened about $$$$ spent.
Since money is no object, why don't you do your own taste test among the three?
I like Walmart’s garlic rotisserie chicken. I check the date and time always before choosing my bird.
There WAS a chain market that I used to by chicken at..."Fresh Market". It was a lot leaner and less greasy then even the chicken at Costco. Unfortunately, the branch I used to go to..shut their doors. So much for Rotisserie Chicken, as far as I'm concerned. Even Costco's!
I love Costco rotiss Chicken. I'm luck there's one just a few blocks from my home so I can just run and grab a chicken. I cut up some onions, cilantro and makes some fresh salsa and make some great tacos..
Cilantro -- BLAH!!!!!!! :-(
What the hell do you expect for under $5. I have the best at home. My Ronco Showtime rotisserie. Over 20 years old and still going strong.
Do you set it and forget it?
@@schartattack every time. chicken, 1.5 hours falling off the bine.
I've never heard of most of these chains
COSTCO chicken is full of MSG! ....a flavor enhancer.....do u feel sick or slow after eating it?
I got a Ronco rotisserie for my wedding present from my father in law. Then I get a $5.00 whole chicken from Aldi, some Badia rotisserie chicken seasoning, and problem solved.
Badia spices are such an amazing deal. Cheaper than the spices in the spice section of the store! It will be our little secret to just head to the ethnic section. Love their adobo as well.
All spot on, except that Costco and Sam's are membership clubs, not grocery stores.
Love the rotisserie chicken at Fresh Market. White wine & herbs is the best and $5.00 on Thursdays.
Ayyyy ShopRite the New Jersey staple.
With no Costco in my area, Sam's Club is by FAR the best locally. Bigger (3lbs), better tasting and much cheaper ($4.99) than Publix.
Is it Better than Kroger roasted chicken ?
Publix chicken tastes good but for five dollars I'm going to Sam's
Publix chicken is scrawny and small, usually dry. Disappointed
@@lloydkline6946 I will answer that with a big yes. Always bigger, more flavorful, never dry and $4.98. The only store bought rotisserie chicken I will buy and trust me I have tried many of the other stores mentioned here. 🐔🐔
You really need to check Giant food stores for fried and rotisserie chicken for both in the future
Best tasting rotisserie I've ever had was from a smallish grocery store chain called Giant Eagle. Best value is Costco all the way, just wish there was a tad more flavor to the bird. Guess it makes it ideal for alternate uses though.
Sam's club are seasoned so good better than Costco
Albertsons has the best rotisserie chickens. I work there in the deli in Arlington, TX. We be selling our rotisserie chickens really fast. They taste really good. We have 3 different flavors Traditional, Lemon Pepper and Rosemary. They're from Signature Cafe. Also we have are Open Nature as well. I been working at the Deli for 6 years now.
You be?
@@ronniewatkins I be what
Sprouts for me !! They Look very natural and they are very tasty
And here I was trying to see if there was a better one than Costco's... Darn
Thanks for your rankings. Unfortunatly, locally in north texas, our only options are Wal-Mart, Sam's Club (with a hefty membership fee), and United (Albertsons). Wish we had a Costco or Publix here.
There are several Costco in North Texas.
My favorite is Vons. They have the basic chicken and organic. Good fried chicken too!
Costco Canada is, overall, the best rotisserie chicken deal in our market for; size, freshness, taste, and, price. As confirmed by a discussion I had with their meat manager they start with a much larger bird to achieve their final cooked weight. In fact, compared to the best sale prices on fresh uncooked whole birds their chicken is only nominally more expensive. However, they are on occasion still pink around the thighs.
Unfortunately for those of us in the Chicago area, the only 3 markets rated here that are available across the area are Sam's Club, Costco, and Walmart. And anyone who has a membership there knows there rotisserie chickens are amongst the best, as the are made fresh daily and generally sell out well before closing. When my neighbor worked at the local Sam's his boss told them that they had to "throw out" any leftover chickens at the end of the day, or if they wanted they could take 1 each... they never tossed even 1 chicken in the 4 years he worked the evening-to-close shift. As to the Walmart birds - highly dependent on the exact store, as there appears to be little control over the exact cooking method.
I haven’t heard let alone see more than half of these stores!
No HEB? Hello?
Smart and Final's chicken is sooooooo GOOD!!! ❤❤❤
Safeway, Publix,SHOP RIGHT.OK, I'll try these stores.😁😇
We love Sams CLub chicken although I have bought 3 that were pink otherwise excellent.
Where do you rate Winn-Dixie's chicken???
What about the Pittsburgh based Giant Eagle?
Safeway chickens are perfectly delicious. The sugars or citrus isn't even noticeable. It just makes the skin a little crispy.
I usually get Walmart or Costco, Safeway is small and expensive and I haven't tried Krogers yet...
kroger's is tasteless
Can’t speak to all these places - but 100% agree on Walmart ( Trash and dry ) Whole Foods ( expensive and bland AF) and Costco ( always juicy , big , good flavor and good price )
H-E-B Flaming Bird. Best grocery store prepared chicken ever. The best.
nerissa k because it is a Texas style ! We are from Texas !
Winco's fried chicken is also excellent, juicy and flavorful, I love it!!
Hut InhatevWinwo. Bad checkers. No smile. Don,t take my Discover. All that wierd MX. food.
There’s a fair amount of these stores that I’ve never heard of. Out of the list of all that I’ve tried, Publix is my go to. Although I may have to try Sam’s and Costco (I need a Costco membership tho 😒😆).
Aden Arrington I’m gonna grab one the next time I go. Hopefully they don’t use tomato powder in the seasoning. I’m allergic 😩.
La Nguyên B Tòng Thanks for the heads up.
I like Walmart's lemon chicken. The problem is the large version which is the same size as Costco and Sam's club costs a lot more. Costco and Sam's club are good quality most of the time but they have no flavor. I've recently been getting these and breaking them up, then seasoning, and then grilling them for a few minutes to get a grill taste. I'm going to try jerk seasoning next time. $4.98 for huge rotisserie chickens is such a value, especially if I can get them tasting anywhere close to some local jerk chicken joints.
