Costco made a big mistake in changing the plastic container and instead use a plastic bag for their popular and cheap rotisserie chicken. My family, relatives, and friends prefer the old container versus this new not-so-nice looking plastic bag. Hopefully, Costo will listen to their members and bring back the better-looking plastic container.
My Costco still has the plastic containers. Tbh I wouldn't mind them switching to the bag to save a few cents per bird sold if it keeps the prices cheap.
Anyone else out there not to pleased with the move to the bagged Kirkland rotisserie chicken? Imo, not as practical, its more of a hassle. I guess they all cant be winners.
If Costco does not have rotisserie chickens, I probably would be visiting Costco 75% less often. My total spending annually at Costco would be 75% less.
Lost it's value since they are bending to pressure to put their products in plastic bags that 1, will leave you with chicken mush. 2, have a higher level of solvents to contaminate your food.
Nice video very informative! Had no idea they owned their own entire chicken supply chain that's pretty crazy. I usually just grab a big box of gushers, Harvest Snaps, some cases of Zephyrhills bottled water and ofc the rotisserie chicken which the dogs like to eat up.. Ive been eyeballing the pre-made mac n cheese, maybe next trip. Oh yeah, I'll occasionally buy some loss leader (learning here) pizza or a hot dog on the way out. Also fill up on that loss leader premium gas sometimes lol
Might work for impulse shoppers or people that let commercials dictate their life, but not me. I bring a bag, get some olive oil, pack of ribs, some cheese, laundry deteregent and then leave. Every once in a while I get bags, spices, fertilizer and some allergy medicine and I leave. No samples. Might buy a hot dog if I was working and forgot lunch. I don't fault Costco for serving people that can't control themselves or are too disorganized to figure out how to prepare dinner ahead of time.

Seems like a cost-saving move by Costco!

The bags often pop open as well! I have even seen it happen at the checkout
@@jrocxzsIts a LESS PLASTIC move for landfill / environment reason

We noticed that more and more Costcos are putting them in plastic bags!
