Love this video. Really useful. Also agree that the whole point of this little camera has to be simple workflows. But always the footage just has such an aura about it that makes it worth it. And more importantly want to shoot more. Thank you
Thanks for the comparison and looking forward to your minimalist set up. Question, would it have been possible to retain the lost highlight information in the Log C Prores by lowering the highlights in mlv before exporting?
Yes, it's perfectly safe. It's warning you because it's an app not explicitly approved by Apple. You can get around this warning by going to the applications folder, control clicking on MLVApp and manually forcing it to open. Once you do that one time you don't need to do it again. You can open it from your launchpad or desktop. Mac's can be really particular sometimes, it's actually quite frustrating in a way.
You can export as Lossless cDNG and the files would be 1/10th the size of the Uncompressed cDNG.
Nice job I'm a big fan of the DNG render time out of MLV is great when I'm trying to export 70 plus clips lol😆👍 nice video #keepfilming
Much Appreciated, Mate, I've been sharing this awesome video with folks. ✅
great comparison video. for the log c files, can you talk us through your mlv export settings please ?
Nice ! Thanks for this comparison. Now I know when to use prores or DNG and why

Hi, Why don't you export as Prores 4444. That's 12 bit video. Prores422 is only 10 bit.
Thanks for the comparison and looking forward to your minimalist set up.

i wanted to test this but i have no clue how to enable adjustments as i cannot use highlight slider at all
@@blopp6240 you need to tick the box that says “allow creative adjustments” under where you selected the profile for Log
First you are down highlights , second your are apply c log
Where did you get the ARRI to REC 709 lut ?

you still use this work flow.
Are you aware we Cannot See your Courser in Resolve?
I hear ya. I prefer Log-C over DNG. It's easier, lighter, but doesn't lose any image quality.
