Thank you, for the video! I recently started learning DaVinci and the processing there can really be simple and fast. Only I'm exporting raw material to DNG. Keep sharing your observations and results

This is my proper workflow too.
As you mention, keep it simple.
The advantage of ProRes export is that even Dual ISO footage, correctly set in the MLV-app, will be exported.
I tend to export in 442 LT due to less render time and less file size.
In Davinci Resolve it’s easy to tweek the footage after the LUT installed.

What's the benefit from going Alexa log C in MLV and go back to 709 in Davinci rather than go straight to 709 in MLV file in the first place? Also can you suggest what is the best video format for storage that preserve most of the information with regards to the sizes for later editing. Thanks.

When going from a scene space (wide colour space in this case) to a display colour space, you're going to lose a bunch of dynamic range.
You'll always be chocking your signal somewhere along the workflow, but cutting it off at the start of the workflow removes the entire benefit of shooting raw from the footage in the first place. So going from the wider colour space to a narrower one will give you better flexibility in post

How is Canon EOS M’s auto focus in Magic Lantern?

Just film in portrait mode and do zero grading, grade as you shoot, each camera has colorscience clocked to perfection

Thanks for the tutorial but your cat video looks like it was shot on a toaster lol. Not sure why it looks like that super low quality footage.
