My complain is that Hannibal has a brain so he is not gay, but he makes an intense emotional relationship with what he plans to eat for it makes it more delicious.
@@dottedCookie i mean Achilles and Patroclus were not gay cause there wasn't such a term[if i had to describe ancient greeks will be bisexual misogynists] But that they loved each other more than life itself is hella true and if you have seen the original text of the iliad sexual relationship is implied.
I showed my mom this show's first season and after a while I asked her "so, what do you think about Hannibal?" and she was like "it's so obvious he wants to sleep with Will, like, he could just ask him and spare us all this drama"

A list of some but not all of the gayest moments in the show: -Their daughter and every subsequent reference to their daughter especially in season 3 when Hannibal says the iconic line "I gave you a child" - the promise of the running away together and the way that will looks tantalized by the idea when Hannibal suggests it. - will forgiving Hannibal - Hannibal giving himself up to Jack and the way he looks at will when he does it -when Hannibal pushes the body out of the car in the last episode and says "going my way?" - them literally dying in each others arms. @@Cheshieruu Tobias, Chilton, and Professor Mariato were gay and Hannibal despised them. Hannibal's love for will Gram is like a Mentor and apprentice, or father to a son.. He even calls him the Lamb of God, implying that he created him in his own image...
@@Medredrum Have you even watched the show, are are you just parroting something you've heard from someone else? Pretty much every scene between them is absolutely intimate. Hannibal is nothing but cautious, but can impulsive and petty. Where did you get "Tobias, Chilton, and Professor Mariato were gay and Hannibal despised them" from? You sound like you're projecting. And I assume you meant Professor Sogliato. They were all loose ends to Hannibal: Tobias was a loose end because he knew who Hannibal truly was, and that would pose a threat in the future, so he sent Will after him, but didn't expect Tobias to come back. Therefore, fight scene that ended in the death of Tobias. Chilton was, quite frankly, a hack of a man who liked to prance around in his office, but also hurt Hannibal's image/pride when he forced Frederick into becoming the Ripper. So he framed Chilton because he was an easy scapegoat. Sogliato hated Hannibal, and wanted to see his ruin, to see him disgraced. So Hannibal impulsively killed him. Do you not remember that Hannibal literally eats the rude? It has nothing to do with any of those things-- if you remember, he also ate a homophobic who implied that doctor who pried much to far into the situation, and implied that if he didn't speak the truth he would up the insurance-- Andrew Caldwell. Hannibal has a _rolodex_ of _business cards_ of people he found prying, offensive, or otherwise impolite. _And then picks them out for his dinner party to serve to the social elites._ _He wears paisley with plaid and silk handkerchiefs, for fucks sake._ safe to say, he doesn't have the _agenda_ you're pushing. Also: if Will Graham were a woman, I'm quite sure you'd say otherwise. the double standards some people have are quite frankly astounding.
What about the Chiyoh scenes? Her speech pattern has the maddeningly slow pacing of Bedelia's mixed in with the accent. I have to turn the captions on AND rewatch the convos
My captions crashed for the whole time I was watching it so I don't know how the fuck I understood what the hell was going on. When I rewatch with captions it's gonna be life changing
Hannibal is a fucking drama queen. My god. Will breaks up with him he guts Will, kills their daughter and runs away to Europe with his rebound. Will breaks up with him again, bit this time for reallsies, doesn't want to know where Hannibal goes. Hannibal petty bitch that he is lets himself be arrested so "you'll always know where I am". :P
I literally started laughing when I saw the comment that said "Is nothing sacred anymore!?" Hannibal is a show about eating people and exploring morality. I feel like we passed sacred a long time ago.
I think it's funny that people argue that yeah Hannibal is gay for Will, but there's no way Will loves him. Like... did you guys forget that he sailed across the damn ocean by himself to go to his ancestral home in Lithuania and learn more about him? You forget that he said "I've never known myself like I know myself when I'm with him" ? You forget that when asked by hannibal the difference between past and future he said "Mine?before you and after you" ? Like, say what you want about Will being straight, but it's hard to say he doesn't love Hannibal in some capacity.
- Joshwa34 - It’s not even that simple, though. Will doesn’t think like him, but he can think like him. He can think like any serial killer. Other serial killers had a thing for Will for the same reason. It’s just that Will spent a lot of time thinking like Hannibal, one crime scene after another. And spent extra time getting in his head on a personal level. But, this isn’t enough for Hannibal. Anyone can know Hannibal if he lets them. Some might even be able to understand him if he lets them. Only Will has the capacity to go a step or two further and accept and potentially love Hannibal. But, Hannibal has to shatter his mind and rebuild it in his image in order to unlock that potential. It’s an abusive relationship with the goal of moulding Will into his ideal partner in crime. Hannibal wants that connection. But, you have to keep it within the confines of psychopathy. He may very well want to BE loved, but whether he has the capacity to ‘be in love’ in return is debatable. Psychopaths have emotions, but they’re said to be a dull version of what non-psychopaths feel. It seems more plausible that whilst Hannibal sees most humans as pigs, he sees Will as more of a beloved pet. As for who he can feel like this about, I don’t think gender matters to him. I suspect that killing is like sex to him too. He only slept with Alana to turn her against Will. Will seemed to like women romantically and sexually, but he lost himself a bit after the ordeal with Hannibal and is quite possibly just mirroring Hannibal’s thinking by the end. As for the silly suggestion that him smelling Will means he’s gay for him, he’s a literal predator. This is the sort of thing I can imagine a lot of serial killers doing, let alone one who has a keen sense of smell and sees people as walking gourmet meals. Do you never take in a whiff of your favourite foods? There’s a lot more to the characters than just gay people wanting them to be gay and straight people wanting them to be straight. Some people just want them to be true to their characters, not put on a show to cater to the gay fans. Well-done for thinking outside the box and understanding the complexities more than most.
Honestly the emotional intimacy is so intense between these two that sex is really just an afterthought at this point. Though to be clear, Hannibal clearly wants it, and Will is probably more open to the idea than he realizes.
@@thriftyfreebies I agree with Hannibal wanting to rebuild Will in his image, but I do not think Hannibal thinks of Will more as a pet. The whole appeal of Will is that he's someone Hannibal can see becoming his equal, or " a partner in crime" like you said. It's also stated in the show that as much as Hannibal is capable of love he loves Will Graham. I agree gender doesn't matter to him as well, but I also disagree that murdering is like sex to him. I also agree that there's more to the characters than their sexuality, but I understand why its such a debated topic when the relationship portrayed in the show is as sensual at times at it is.
Marcel la Rastaban I’ll give you that one. They say that penetrating somebody with a knife is like sex to serial killers, though. Apparently they get off on the reaction to being stabbed. In Hannibal’s mind, that probably was sex, just it’s irrelevant that Will happens to be male.

Saying it is gay is reductive. Hannibal and Will were unique creatures who really could only relate to one another. Hannibal the pure sociopath and Will the pure empath. It is far more complicated than just "they are gay."
@@dashx1103you make no sense, it doesn’t make it reductive. Relationships can be complex, labeling it as gay doesn’t change that fact. I think you have sort of stigma against the word that’s changing this for you
@@frooitbunch1309 You think wrong. I attach no stigma to homosexuality. I just understand that because relationships can be "complex," every male/male relationship doesn't have to be "gay." There was no indication for either Will nor Hannibal that they were gay. Both only had relationships with women throughout the show. The fact that they both had complicated psychological make ups that drew them together doesn't make them "gay." That people feel the need to pretend they were gay is just bizarre to me.
@@dashx1103 its crazy youre saying that when it is confirmed in the show at least hannibal had romantic feelings and the actors AND THE DIRECTOR made it very clear they love each other
@@millycakeck I haven't seen those comments from Fuller, but please direct me to them and I will consider them. What I recall from Fuller's comments is that the relationship between Will and Hannibal was much more complex than just them "being gay." Which makes sense, I think, given the narrative of the show. Not sure what would have happened in a fourth season, but given the three seasons we did get ... I feel completely confident in the conclusion that Will and Hannibal had an incredibly intimate connection driven by their unique psychological makeups, but that it wasn't strictly speaking "gay." Beyond that, don't know what to tell you.
Bryan is such a sweetheart and totally wants a hannibal reunion. And I also want a pushing daisies reunion ! Lol I hope amazon or Netflix do something about it. Mads and hugh have said they would love to come back

All the feelings without any touching, just what we need right now! And obviously, I would give anything for any network to pick up Hannibal for a fourth season.
@walker jfs how their relationship being ALSO sexual makes it less deep and complex instead of adding more layers to it? The show always associated murder with sex (especially in season 2 where even Alana deadass said Hannibal was courting Will) besides there's tons of homoerotic and overwhelming SEX subtext between Will and Hannibal, like the ortolan scene.
In fact, Bedelia even puts Hannibal's intimacy with Will at the same level with Will's wife (she literally asks Will if his wife is aware of how intimately they know each other). Would you say Will and his wife don't share a sexual relationship? lol
Lol that comment, "Is nothing sacred?" Sure, the show portrays the protagonist(s) committing murder, cannibalism, and corpse mutilation, but god forbid it has two men in love.
So what you're saying is that not only we know that Mads reads fanfiction and isn't afraid to admit to it (same as Bryan or Hugh), but we even know his preferred genre? Wow, we Fannibals truly are blessed
They're saying the actors probably don't like hannigram but there's pictures of Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Grant walking with papers saying "hannigram" and "murder husbands" while the actress for Alana makes two dolls of Hannibal and will kiss They totally ship it. Cause the love is canon
Wouldnt call them LGBT because their seen with women as well. I'd say demisexual as another person did. Hannible fell in love with will as he did with Clarice. Will and hannibles relationship was meant to be intimate but in red dragon will is married and has a kid.
@@apatheticandaesthetic3882 there is a b in lgbt. it aint lgt. you can be bi or pan. just because both will and hannibal have often had sexual relationships with women does not mean they are restricted to that
YES! it is something i have been searching for! The only other show (that i know of) that’s done it with the main character, is The magicians. With the relationship between Quinton and Eliot.
Are they Gay? "Is Hannibal in Love with me" "Did you just smell me?" "You cannot control with respect to whom you fall in love" "You called us Murder Husbands" "Betrayal and forgiveness are best seen as something akin to falling in love" "This is all I ever wanted for you, Will" "It's beautiful"
i mean, i woud think a relationship between an ex fbi agent with a pure empathy disorder and a cannibalist serial killer is very far from normal, gay or straight
Dude.... This might be a shocker but...... They survive. That what the thing with Bedelia at the end was. Showrunners, and the actors confirmed it... They live, run off, get married, and adopt a dog.
+Lanoira13 lol they survived only if there's a continuation....if it was the end of the show then you can forget that Bedelia scene, Will and hannibal died, that's a beautiful ending. But apparently they're gonna bring the show back in a few years which is awesome but at the same time that ending was so perfect I hope they won't ruin it.
ladycopine Yeah, no.... They confirmed Will and Hanni lived, and that was what the Bedelia scene was. There was no, "oh, but only if we get renewed, otherwise we didn't mean it they're dead!" They've said if the show didn't get picked back up, we should all be happy knowing Will and Hannibal ran away and lived happily ever after.
Lanoira13 yes but we can interpret it the way we want, if the show never get renewed I prefer to believe that they die together like a lot of other fans, because there's no such thing as "happily ever after" for Will and Hannibal...they would just destroy each other in the end.
@walker jfs Thank you for the long answer! Wow. I definetely need to watch it again soon so many things I forgot or missed since I haven't seen it twice.
@walker jfs I personally don't think it was really like that. I think Will honestly did want Hannibal in (almost) the same was Hannibal wanted him , but he also didn't want himself to be the person he knows he is when he's with Hannibal, so he throws them both off to let fate decide for him really, because he was tired. Plus I dont think Hannibal killed Abigail to harden Will. He killed Abigail purely for the reason of breaking Will's heart, like Hannibal felt his heart was broken by finding out Will was betraying him. At least that's what I saw a quote from Mads saying. Sorry for the long response lol
I think that maybe one of the reasons why after Will and Hannibal kill The Red Dragon Will says “it’s beautiful” is that he had finally seen Hannibal for the first time. Like seen through his perspective of the kill, how to Hannibal sometimes someone’s death isn’t a tragedy. But a painting, or an artistic statement. And after Will had finally accepted the way Hannibal was and embraced the dark that was in him he had finally seen how beautiful it was. The tea cup had been reconstructed and now Hannibal and Will were complete. That’s why Hannibal smiles back at Will and says “This is all I ever wanted for you” all he ever wanted was for Will to finally see him for the way that he is and to accept him. Right before they tumble off the cliff Hannibal looks so happy and so content with Wills response that he didn’t care if they fell off the cliff and died because in the end he had finally been seen by the one that he loves. There’s an old saying that goes (at least from what I’ve been told) “you never really ‘see’ someone unless you love them”, and the moment Will had said “it’s beautiful” he had in a way said that he had loved Hannibal back, that’s why Hannibal looks so relieved and happy as they finally embrace before falling off the cliff. He was happy that his love for the other had been returned. (Lmao this a lot and I probably sound crazy but for me right now it’s like 4 in the morning and this is when my brain actually works :) )
Amazing perspective and i agree Also, yknow what, i just rewatched the whole show these past 2 days and hannibal definitely said to will something similar to "you never really see someone unless you love them"
“LGBT love story even though the focus isn’t around that love” - absolutely right, what I loved about Hannibal was the subtlety of it all - we all know Hannibal is in love with Will, and Will seems to feel the same, it’s mentioned subtly and even quite boldly in some episodes but it’s never the MAIN plot point of the show - neither is our sexuality in real life - this show really was one of a kind imo - breaking the “gay” stereotype you tend to see in shows/movies. Bryan Fuller is a genius
I personally thought that hannibal was just an obsessive friend, Will didn't buy it and even hated it for so long, not everything has to be that sexually related. Even the end says otherwise. Just my opinion 🤷♂️
Ashley Felice I think mads mikkelsen mentioned at a convention that they had taken that scene further in some takes than it appeared on the show. Like I mentioned above, the final scene that ended up on screen was called kiss alts. As in, alternatives to the kiss.
ladycopine In a way. He says it's their thing and he hasn't the right to say it's wrong or something, but he prefers avoiding gay scenes, gay stuff in general. He thinks it's disgusting since he finds men disgusting in a sexual way.
@Matt Smith the literal director has implied they are. the very ending scene where hannibal and will fall off the cliff were going to be them kissing as they fall off the cliff
Can we talk about how Hannibal is actually an ASMR show? Jesus I could listen to Bedelia/Will/Hannibal/etc talk forever. Edit: how tf did this gain so many likes 💀
That's what makes the show so chilling, the softness juxtaposing the horrible things. I love this Hannibal but it's the only TV show that actually scared me...
Bedelia and Will especially. Bedelia's actor also spoke for the wolf god in Princess Mononoke, her voice is fucking enchanting/enlightening to listen to
I think Hannibal fell in love with Will from the very moment he saw a potential for darkness within Will and started grooming him into the perfect "murder husband". AND in the end, he did have the perfect "murder husband". In my opinion, they are soulmates.
after the fourth season was cancelled Brian Fuller admitted that he planned for them the future of 'murder husbands' where they finnaly run away togheter after dealing with Buffalo Bill (who was suppose to be played by Lee Pace btw) The plot was supposed to be based on 'The silence of the lambs' mixed with the ending of 'Hannibal' (the book) but instead of Starling and Hannibal it would be Will and Hannibal. This is literally what was taken from us.
The funniest fucking thing is how, in the script for 3x13, Brian wrote it as Will basically suddenly lunging at Hannibal and pulling them both of the cliff - but Mads and Hugh totally decided by themselves to go the whole 'almost kiss' route, totally teasing out the moment, because they felt to do otherwise would be disingenuous. I mean even the actors knew there was somethin' going on there :DDD Good lord I freaking love this show

This show came out too soon. The world wasn't ready and it was not meant for television. It was meant for streaming: it missed the mark by a few years. Had it come out now on a streaming platform it would have been a HUGE hit from the beginning. I'm at least glad it gathered a cult-like following and people are still talking about it to this day and always in a positive manner. And it's Hannigram that kept the fandom and the series alive even after all these years. They are 100% in love, Bryan Fuller even tweeted it to celebrate Pride Month in 2022. There is no question. It was ground-breaking imo: they are gay and in love, but the story is not about about the pain of being queer or homophobia or the usual things we see in media. Them being in love with one another is treated as normal. Well, it's not a normal relationship obviously, but them being gay is not the unusual part. I love it. Not to mention how good the show, plot, characters, dialogue, music, costumes, editing, set design are. Everything about this series is perfect. It was unlucky to come out when it came out, but now is a classic and people appreciate it. Sometimes it happens: Van Gogh couldn't manage to sell his paintings when he was still alive and he was starving, but now he is one of the most famous painters in history. Hannibal will never be forgotten and it has a better legacy than many shows that were way more popular in their prime like Sherlock, Supernatural and Game of thrones but that ended in disaster and are hated by the ones who were once their fans. Hannibal is loved and it is way better than shining bright for a few years before crashing and burning.
@@LuZhang87 I really really hope you are right. Considering how popular that Netflix series about Dahmer was, it seems the public would go crazy for a series like Hannibal. It has literally everything that is trendy right now like murders and violence and the fandom is still big, I see people talking about it all the time on Twitter. Plus the creator has said many times he is ready to make another season. Not to mention how on streaming they would have less limitations in what they can show, especially in the romance department. It's crazy no one is picking it up to produce a fourth season, I'm sure they would make a lot of money. It just came out too soon, it's so frustrating.

Heteronormativity is one hell of a drug :) I think Bryan, Mads, and Hugh really enjoyed playing this game of "how obvious can we make it that Hannibal and Will are in love before everyone will notice" and testing public's perception this way. As a result, we got many beautifully, almost over-the-top romantic scenes like in Dolce when Will and Hannibal meet again under the Primavera painting and proceed to poetically talk about the power of their love, and yet there were still some people who didn't get it. It's as hilarious as it's sad, but hopefully, it made some people think. Ditto with the people who had problems with this being a romance, but had no trouble with the murders etc.

the way you explained it towards the end was PERFECT. im sick of lgbt+ stories being that same cookie cutter plot, and i think thats why hannibal was so perfect. it was a well rounded, visually stunning series with the addition of a complicated non-heterosexual relationship. exquisite.

@@Ehrenhaider_Akainu uh nbcs hannibal was very clearly a different take on hannibal lecter than the one from the books. also i never once in my comment stated I knew everything about his backstory lmao I just meant that I liked how THIS hannibal had some kind of raw, complex ability to love; as well as the idiosyncrasy of how he displayed his love. damn
@Ehrenhaider_Akainu their relationship has transcended love. It's a pure melting of their souls. They are one and they became one when they fell off that cliff. Together. Holding onto each other with their dying breaths. It's possible they survived because they did want a 4th season but unless that happens it's safe to theorize. Either way this isn't about sexuality. This is about the absolute purity of desiring someone both carnally and spiritually that your relation has no bounds anymore.
I'm so ashamed that I didn't notice this until the 3rd season. The incredible thing about Hannibal is that he is both charming and evil. We hate em and we love em. I feel the same about this relationship. It's fucked up but I secretly want it to work. Yet at the same time I don't want it to work because Will would have to become a murderer. That goes against Will's nurturing, kind nature. It's a star crossed romance between good and evil.
Well I feel like the whole point of his character arc is that he always had the capacity and desire to be a killer but turned away from it because he subscribed to the normal social morality which Hannibal on the other hand looks down upon. It isn't just about them loving eachother - it is also about Will allowing himself self-acceptance of the worst parts of him. It is dark as hell but also insanely poetic to me. A "there is a true darkness within" narrative instead of the usual "there is a true light within" trope is just... perfect to me.
@@oof-rr5nf I absolutely agree with your statement, that is always how I viewed Will's character arc. Upsettingly, there are quite a few people who don't agree with that, but Will peeling off the veil that was drawn over his inner desires with Hannibal's influence is a concept that I truly enjoy.
"you know the state of affairs is great when groundbreaking representation is hannibal lecter" hollywood just got fucking #rekt and i got a new favourite quote. thx fam
For me, Will's love for Hannibal was solidified when we, the audience, found out Will sailed across the whole Northern Atlantic Ocean for him. From Baltimore, Maryland to Italy. That's ~4,787 miles of ocean. Assuming Will is going about 10 nauts, it would take a little over 20 days *straight* of sailing nonstop. I'm assuming my man Will took at least a small nap every so often and had water and food to an extent. With that we'll say he was sailing then for 20-25 days at sea. All for one man. If that isn't complete and utter devotion...mind, body, and soul...I don't know what is.
It's revealed that in Season 3 Hannibal Lecter (who according to Fuller is omnisexual) is in love with Will Graham. In the last episode of the same season Will demonstrated the feelings are mutual, replying to Bedelia's question of whether he reciprocates or not. Since the inception of the show Fuller has repeatedly referred to the series as a love story between the two men; in addition to this he has confirmed that their relationship is one of mutual attraction. Margot Verger, introduced in season two, is a lesbian. Alana Bloom, who is bisexual, begins a relationship with Margot in season three, and they eventually marry and have a son, Morgan. Anthony Dimmond, a minor character in season 3, flirts with Hannibal and proposes a threesome to Hannibal and Bedelia. (Bryan Fuller also stated that Jimmy Price is openly gay, although this is not shown or otherwise stated in the series.) (Aaron Abrams and Scott Thompson have stated that Brian Zeller and Jimmy Price have an on-again-off-again relationship.) Just gonna leave this here.

If more shows try to appeal to LGBTQ demographic, I wish they would try to make it as good as this show. Unlike JK's HP fanfiction.
Shows that you dont know Hannibal Lecters character or backstory, he cant love hes a monster and pure evil it was even said in the books: "...and his heart died along with his his sister."
I know. That's why it's always funny when people who have read the books and don't like the shows development are like: "But the original Hannibal Lectcer wasn't gay!!!" Well.... he kind of was....
He was. All the way. Not kind of. There was no question.. him and Mason Verger had some sort of sexual encounter before Hannibal told him to chop up his own face. It’s all written down there in the book. So yes. The original Hannibal has always been gay
@@es-lb4mw Running of with a woman doesn't necessarily mean that he can't also like men. And know what, Thomas Harris was okay with the series hinting at something between Hannibal and Will , if not he could've withdrawn the copyrights or made his dislike public. So why are you here complaining? Do you like canon? Fine, then don't watch and complain about a show that made clear from the start that it was gonna take a lot of freedoms with the original material, consider it TV fanfiction for all I care, is it so hard?

After re-reading your reply, I want this to be clear: I did not not say that Thomas Harris hinted at Hannibal×Will, absolutely not, in fact I always thought that Hannibal was more asexual/aromantic in the books, I only said that if he wasn't okay with the show's portrayal of Hannibal and Will he could've made his dislike public. Also Thomas Harris never released interviews about the show or generally about the books, because he is very reserved and probably wants the books to speak for themselves, and I also think that he would've more problems with the show's more unrealistic stuff (like Hannibal falling off 5-6 m (if not more) almost without a scratch and the like), I mean he said that he doesn't think that his books are fiction, only observations of the world.
I don't know whether or not they are physically attracted to each other, but I think that when they talk about being "in love", they talk about something much greater than anything we could imagine. They understand each other better than anyone, their love goes beyond their bodies, the love each other's souls (this sounds so gay I know, but it's true). You can't narrow it all down to simple ordinary attraction, their relationship goes beyond their genders.
Yes, it's a very profound connection, they complete each other like no other but it doesn't mean they wouldn't develop a simple sexual attraction after connecting so deeply in other areas. I man Hannibal was checking Will a few times and we know he appreciate beauty in any form ;) Will also looks sometimes at Hannibal with so much devotion, deep longing in his eyes when he thinks Hannibal is not watching... I think them connecting physically is just a matter of time. They would get conjoined in new areas thanks to that thought it doesn't mean it's necessary for their relationship as they are already very deeply conjoined even without sex.
I see Will as either bi or hetero-flexible (or just heterosexual WITH THE EXCEPTION OF HANNIBAL LECTER in big bold letters that Will tries to hide under a sheet for like 2 seasons), and Hannibal is omnisexual, where he'll have sex with anyone (mostly to get what he wants like creating an alibi or (looking at the silence of the lambs universe) coaxing a victim his way), but then Will comes in and he's like DAMN and he falls in super love/obsession forever with Will. That's just my thinking though.
please, there's absolutely not one heterosexual reason as to why hannibal turns himself in to the fbi just because he can't stand the idea of leaving and will not going after him or knowing where he is.

when i first started it i was like “why does everyone ship them? they treat each other like shit and hannibal is literally hannibal fucking lecter” then i just accepted that yeah ok they’re definitely a thing, maybe it’s not the most healthy relationship but its still undeniably a romantic relationship
They are mega gay... The thing is that as it was said in here, the show is about more than their sexualities. From the start we know who Hannibal is, but my boy Will has to go through these incredible changes and self discovery that goes into knowing that even though yeah... He may have been straight for everyone, he can't deny his feelings and deeper connection to Hannibal, that's why sexuality is a spectrum. But the point here is that these two indeed love each other in the most toxic and crazy ass way possible. Healthy relationship has left the chat long ago. And the show practically mad it canon with the last scene, suggesting that both Hannibal and Will survived and they went on to eat Bedilia... And I'm assuming by Will's choice because he hates her guts. I need a revival for a season 4. I LIKES IT, I WANTS IT. I NEEDS IT NOOOOW.

Hannibal is nothing but cautious, but can impulsive and petty.
Where did you get "Tobias, Chilton, and Professor Mariato were gay and Hannibal despised them" from? You sound like you're projecting. And I assume you meant Professor Sogliato.
They were all loose ends to Hannibal:
Tobias was a loose end because he knew who Hannibal truly was, and that would pose a threat in the future, so he sent Will after him, but didn't expect Tobias to come back.

@@yuuki7486 name pls
ye those are vey romantic quotes for sure

@walker jfs how their relationship being ALSO sexual makes it less deep and complex instead of adding more layers to it? @walker jfs Hannibal yes probably. Good idea. But Will?
@walker jfs Thank you for the long answer! Wow. I definetely need to watch it again soon so many things I forgot or missed since I haven't seen it twice.
I kinda wanted this video to be 7,5 minutes of saying "yes"
You: I'm going to post this stupid fucking meme again.
Cancerous fuckheads: Oh wow! Original meme! Thumbs up!
I love your interpretation
Amazing perspective and i agree
Also, yknow what, i just rewatched the whole show these past 2 days and hannibal definitely said to will something similar to "you never really see someone unless you love them"
“LGBT love story even though the focus isn’t around that love” - absolutely right, what I loved about Hannibal was the subtlety of it all - we all know Hannibal is in love with Will, and Will seems to feel the same, it’s mentioned subtly and even quite boldly in some episodes but it’s never the MAIN plot point of the show - neither is our sexuality in real life - this show really was one of a kind imo - breaking the “gay” stereotype you tend to see in shows/movies. Bryan Fuller is a genius
I personally thought that hannibal was just an obsessive friend, Will didn't buy it and even hated it for so long, not everything has to be that sexually related.
Even the end says otherwise.
Just my opinion 🤷♂️

I think Hannibal fell in love with Will from the very moment he saw a potential for darkness within Will and started grooming him into the perfect "murder husband". AND in the end, he did have the perfect "murder husband". In my opinion, they are soulmates.

I think you nailed it. but I think there is still hope they revive it.
@@LuZhang87 I really really hope you are right. Considering how popular that Netflix series about Dahmer was, it seems the public would go crazy for a series like Hannibal.

Shows me that you dont know Hannibal Lecters character and backstory tho, he cant love hes a Monster and pure evil it was even said in the books: "...and his heart died along with his sister."
Ikr
I dont know I totally wanted it to work after second season after second season I totally fell in love with this couple :D

+Hitomi 2oo7 I guess that would happen IF THEY HADN'T CANCELLED THE SHOW. At least they may revive it in 2017, let's just pray...

And 7 and 8 and 9 and 10... But that seems like an unlikely dream right now.
@@hitomi2oo710 You know... their relationship seems to be
_ineffable_
This video is literally the reason I started watching the show and I fucking love it so thanks
Also yes they are
it's nice to have you for dinner ;)
Same
"I'm having an old friend for dinner."
Same. XD
one and a half years later and these two still own my entire ass
I love how all of the other videos are anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour long and this one is 7 and a half minutes long and starts with “yes”
YES THE ANSWER IS FUCKN YES PERIOD. DONT EVEN HAVE TO WATCH THE WHOLE THING HAHAH
EVERY TIME YOU MENTION SUPERNATURAL AND SHERLOCK I DIE A LITTLE CUZ ITS SO TRUE
Short answer: Yes
Long answer: Very
Longer answer: You cannot read this relationship as anything except gay
1:29 No but this is actually so true xD I'm German but I watched it in English and I've watched it without any subtitles and even though I only understood like 10% of what Hannibal said, I still got the plot and what was going on, yay
Tama 【たま】
Ja haha. von den 80 millionen haben sich echt welche hierhin verirrt xD
+Tama 【たま】 es gibt doch relativ viele deutsche fangirls, nur meistens weiß man nicht, dass sie deutsch sind :D
I just can't from Moffat's face and the dramatic "unlike SOME people" as a proud Sherlockian and Johnlock shipper I can painfuly relate 🤣🤣
Miley Macourková as soon as I finished watching Sherlock, Hannibal was a balm to my queerbaited soul.
@@miekelei2761 @me this year when I found out Hannigram was canon af
They are definitely in love with each other. I loved the RIP part lmao. How can people be so blind?
5:23
I love how the person who wrote a huge paragraph hadn't seen season 2 and 3 and just wanted to say it wasn't gay without half of the context
“They do wild heterosexual things together like smell each other!”
Someone mentions Hannibal recognizing people by their perfume. Tells Will his cologne has been sitting too long. Hannibal is aware of such things.
I really love bryan fuller. seriously he healed me when I followed hannibal
Same. It is a religion.
I watched this, watched the entire show one month later in exactly 17 days, and watched this again and BOY AM I SHOOK
when i first started it i was like “why does everyone ship them? they treat each other like shit and hannibal is literally hannibal fucking lecter” then i just accepted that yeah ok they’re definitely a thing, maybe it’s not the most healthy relationship but its still undeniably a romantic relationship
This is a cinematic masterpiece. From the comedic music behind literally everything (chef’s kiss) to the amount of perfect call outs,, I’m... I keep rewatching this vid after like years of seeing it the first time. 10/10 would (and probably will) watch again
