Why do you compress a one shot instrument like a bass. Is that same thing with side chaining with the kick or a different reason altogether?
Thank you bossss
I love your journey and your ep

Bless gee. Link is in the description of the videos 🙌🏽
Your perfectly right ❤❤ ,once you know the workflow and the principles of the daw you can mix basically on any daw. My Daw of choice is Cubase,i even produce perfectly in Cubase and my Freinds wonder how i do it,i just mastered how it worked in fl studio and now i transferred to cubase with the same knowledge.😊😊😊😊😊
Exactly my bro. I’ve learnt a lot from cubase guys without even using it. The DAW choice should only just come down preference!!! It’s all the same lol 🤌🏾
Show us how u master the song boss 😊
Working on a mastering video soon 👊🏾👊🏾
Also, what’s the difference between just reducing or increasing the volume and using a gain plugin
The gain plug-in reduces the level of the signal, seen on the pre-fader, To create headroom for all the processing you’d do in the mix. Search for how to enable pre-fader on whatever DAW you use!
The volume knob adjusts the level of the signal at post-fader, after processing. Most DAWs show you the post fader by default that’s why it’s important to how to enable the pre-fader.
Hello, I love your videos. Found you today and subscribed cos you gave me exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve always wanted to know the diff types of compressor and the videos I found on RUclips aren’t descriptive enough but yours did and for that a big thanks. I would like to ask a question, quite personal but I hope you can answer. How did you get into mixing? Did you have a formal education or you learnt from someone or yourself. I’ve been learning mixing for over 3 years and the bulk of what I’ve learnt has been from RUclips. I asked this question cos this is what I’m passionate about. I hope you can respond. Thanks and have a great day!
My pleasure bro. Happy I could help you understand a little better. I started mixing in 2013 and everything I learnt before then and over the years and into future has been from RUclips. I guess a combination of that plus my own personal work experience has gotten me this far. I have mixed and mastered close to 1k records. I didn’t get any formal education. I just learnt how to learn from RUclips. I takes some time to get really good at that too cos there’s alot of information and not all is really useful to everyone’s style of music or workflow right? but once you understand how to filter out what’s important to you and how to make everything you come across useful to you, then you’ll be unstoppable.
@@Beniemacaulayoh wow thanks so much. You’re amazing. I appreciate you taking time to respond to me
Pls sir we need a mastering video on how to get loud results(-9lufs)😪
Alright I’ll work on that 👊🏾👊🏾

Good morning, is there special EQ and compressor for vocal and beat or any EQ and Compressor can work on Vocal and Beat?
Any EQ is great for vocals and beat. But with experience you learn to decide which ones you prefer for different applications based on their tone.
Thumbs up! Do you EQ your reverb? Do you put your EQ before or after your reverb? In Pro Tools.. Do you put the EQ plugin on the reverb Aux track or on the vocal track? Thank You!
Always put your reverb on an Aux track. I EQ the reverb on the reverb bus/aux track and I put the EQ before the reverb!
Great Job! im looking for a tutor to Teach me how to record vocals in Pro Tools on a 2 track beat. I will pay you. Are you interested?
