I would like to say something. I love Taron’s performance and his representation of Elton, but I wish they would’ve changed his physical appearance. At least In the late 80s give him the white hair
I don't think he ever had white hair? He was off-blonde and went almost completely bald on top, so he started wearing hats. They do show Elton balding in this movie and it looks pretty accurate to me. IRL, Elton got hair pieces after going through several bad hair transplants that didn't take.

I know Elton John had a lot of say in this movie, so maybe he told them to leave the worst of the hair out and just show the balding? According to him it's a "fantasy biopic," not a completely factual biography like his autobiograpical book "Me" where he explains exactly it what happened with his hair. They also obviously play with the timeline a lot.
That's when he really saw how bad his life was. He was 43 at the time but he looked 30 years older. He looks better in his 70's than he did back then. And not because of the wig. He has new life in him.

Well, I'm glad my parents aren't like that. His dad didn't want him and abandoned him when he was little, and his mom said she was embarrassed by him and she wanted him to pay for her to get away from him. I don't care if you're a celebrity or not, that's messed up....

The issue is that most of us feel shamed by our parents and society at large so we don't know how to love ourselves. The message we get is: you're bad and wrong and deserve to be miserable and should feel ashamed. Which is ridiculous because if everyone believes that then were living in a prison.
