Love US Skull Hunter and been a fan of you both for a while. I've seen a lot of his skull cleaning videos, but wow! That one he sent you was as sparkling white as I've ever seen!
I use a natural wash from hobby lobby that works really good for bones when I carve them, gets into the recesses well and really brings out the texture
. Love the video! I'm already subscribed to both you and U.S. Skull Hunter! Like the tip about fixing the hole. Love the collaboration. Your skull turned out great!
Hey Matt. Another great video!! Very informative. But can I suggest one thing? When your showing what type bit your using could you also include the speed you have your tool set to? It would help all us newbies 😉😁 but overall just thanks for all the time and effort you put into trying to teach us!
Wonderful video I like to do skulls and I have learned a great deal from you I will look up skull Hunter and see what he does thank you and keep going because it’s not just about Wood carving it’s about carving so your video is right on
Very nice skull carving! I really enjoy working with deer antler and will need to get one of those Dremel Stylo tools. I did a wizard carving on some antler a while back and used the small battery-powered Dremel, but unfortunately the battery drains down to fast. For the staining process, you might want to look at using an antiquing wax you can get at Michaels made by ArtMinds. It's a dark wax that will fill crevices, but you can easily wipe off of the high spots and excess. Not sure how it does on bone/antler, but works well on my caricature carvings. Thanks for making this video!
Great video as always. Would you do a pattern designing tutorial. I keep playing with ideas but I think I'm just missing some techniques, to give them the edge that they're needing.
You may already know this, but I'll post it for anyone that may not. Dust over the Super Glue (Cyanoacrylate) with Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate) and it will almost instantly harden. We use that in Luthiery Work a good bit.

What I like most about this video is your honesty on your mistakes. I tell my students all the time that mistakes are the first step to learn.
Thank you sir!

Awesome! We both appreciate the support! The color has to do mainly with it being artificial and that I did not stain it very heavily.
@@CorneliusCreations Ah. I didn't catch that it was an artificial skull. I've carved bone and antler, but never dared try a skull yet.

What wash is it?
Tattered angels color wash tint, I use the aged bronze it gives it a nice brown tint
Thank you, I will pick it up
Skills, and it's great that you show your mistakes during your project 👍 👍
Thank you bro!

You are so nice and make really good videos! I rather watch your videos than play video games, and I'm 12 years old .
Thank you buddy! Glad to hear you that you enjoy watching the channel!
I agree, its good to see that carving sometimes has errors, and nothing is perfect every time, good video as usual, best regards.
Thank you John!

Great vid as always. Skull is cool. I love your "total transparency "!

Fantastic tip!
Have you thought of using tattoo transfer paper for your sketch ?
I dip alot of skulls imma have to try this on one
Right on!
I just started working on antler and wow what a hard medium. Did you find the replica hard to engrave?
Antler is crazy hard. This replica was buttery smooth to carve.
Do you NEED the foredom carver I see it is 400$. Can you do it without?
Jou did good. J.J.
Hey, is there a good medium you could recommend to practice on before I ruin a good skull ? Haha
Wood :)
Love it
Glad you enjoyed it!
What is the thing that you put the skull on to rotate called?
A rotating easel
Where did you buy this
You can get faux deer skulls from etsy or other online retailers. I recommend buying the Dremel Stylo from Amazon
Why cut the antlers?
It never had any......LOL
It's faux
Great video, kinda misleading, I thought from the title you were going to carve the whole skull. But still a great video.
Thank you man! I didn’t mean for it to be misleading. Since it was my first one, I kept it simple.
Now hydrodip it
Great Idea!
Real skull?
This is a replica
