      harbor freight's burs are rough(course) grit, they sell diamonds between 80-120.
      Very aggressive.

    Thank you for showing us specifics of what each burr does! Is there a good source of cheap horse or cow skulls to practice on? Do your burrs remain sharp enough or do you have to replace them?

      Just depending on how much I use them, yes. I dont generally spend more than maybe $10 a month on average on new burrs.

    Enjoying your videos. They are very informative and easy to follow. I was on Pinterest when I stumbled onto your skulls and had to watch to see how they were done. WOW, they are beautiful!!
    I would love to "try" make some. I have a dremel tool and would like to get a skull. Where do you purchase one or get a bone to work on to begin on that medium? Any suggestions?
    I'd be very interested if you could give me any ideas.
    TYIA.

    Do you find yourself using your air powered carver often? I saw you unbox one but don't think I have seen you use one (though I am still working through your library so I may just not have come across it yet

    • @usskullhunter
      @usskullhunter  6 лет назад +1

      Thanks Coyote for noticing! Yes so like you said I got one a while back but have not honestly not used it much. I am using it exclusively on the current project (deer skull war mask) but other than that I probably use my Dremel 95% of the time. And I guess the real reason I have not used it much is it just takes some getting used to. I have been using and am comfortable with a Dremel so I just kinda always pick that up. It's a bit hard to explain but because the Turbo Carver is so small and light any movements you make translate to whatever you are carving, whereas with a Dremel there is a little more weight and you feel like your movements can be more controlled. Basically, the Turbo Carver takes more skill. There are a lot of other pros/cons to each and once I do use the Turbo carver more then I will make a final judgement if one is better than the other or simply each good for different stuff :)
