  • When Damon from New York reached out to me and asked if I would be willing to do a Signature BONETATS Project with his first Whitetail Buck deer, I was excited to agree to do it. One of the best parts of starting this little company is the opportunity to meet some genuinely good people. Damon certainly fits that description! Enjoy the creation of his skull carving!

    Hey! I have some longhorn skulls. I’m planning on trying out a leather tooling look with carving and stain.
    Do you have any stain tips or recommendations?

    • @bonetats_official
      @bonetats_official  8 месяцев назад

      Not really. I’ve never worked with leather. But I’m sure whatever you do will look killer!

    how did you get design on skull before carving? I can't seem to find good pens to draw or how to do a stencil onto it!!!

    • @bonetats_official
      @bonetats_official  3 года назад

      I just draw everything in pencil and then lock it in with a matte finish clear spray.

    Where ya can I put ca glue in the pef area. It hardens it up. I made some basic buttons for a gal with a old shed she had reason for wanting used so I ca glued the per I the middle it allowed me to put th 4 holes she wanted.

      I work in the dental field so I use dental drills because that is what I am familiar with. Most people use a dremel. If you follow usskullhunter, I’ve heard he does really good videos on how to obtain and use the tools you need. He would be a great resource for a beginner. Good luck! 🍀

    what did you use to colour?

    • @bonetats_official
      @bonetats_official  Год назад

      It’s a combination of airbrush paint, and stain, applied in phases and sanded for highlighting effects.
