- Throughout Jordan's harshest deserts, bedouin security forces working for the government have been a key part to the country's security for decades.
The so-called desert forces patrol about 82 per cent of Joran's land to guard against cross-border infiltration, weapon and drug smugglers.
Riding on camels in extreme weather conditions, the nomads have a rare capability and familiarity to manouver through the rugged and rough terrain.
Nisreen El-Shamayleh reports from Wadi Rum in southern Jordan, where she followed a group of the desert forces on patrol.
