I can't say enough about these videos and the kick start they are providing me after recent diagnosis of Type II. With the crazy covid world right now and living in an area with a very high rate of diabetes, it is almost a 5 month wait into the endocrinologist after referral. Not cool. I did tweak a 1 hour meeting with a diabetes education coach. I was already educating myself with these videos, which helped tremendously. He was given your website to check out. I figured a even a 31 year veteran of coaching could learn some new things too. I love the incorporation of herbs and spices as I use quality essential oils regularly. I am disappointed you are out of the Advanced Glucose Support, as I want to incorporate them into my regime. At 65, I am learning a lot of new tricks and can't tell you how much I appreciate all your efforts for these videos. Back to watching....

I am newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and was wondering about onions and strawberries. I made a salad yesterday and added strawberries, spinach, carrots, and onions and my blood sugar went down from 7.6 to 6.2! I do have a different meter than some of the people in the comments section that is why my scores are different
Cinnamon is a warming food according to Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. Eating too much, even halt teaspoon each time, can whirl our head, make us crazy, feel fearful. I would use a pinch. I love this doctor. He is interested in healthy nutrition and life-style. Thank you Dr.
Dr how about cooking oils? What’s best to use? Or substitute for butter? Thank you for all your videos! I watched my mother suffer with kidney failure and the majority of our family suffers with diabetes. I’m definitely listening intently, and want a better quality of life. Thanks 🙏🏼 I noticed with just an hour of exercise a day it’s dropping my levels. I’m 8.2 A1C and on a mission to lower.
Great information, Dr. Ergin. I bought a glucose monitor awhile back. My morning fasting glucose is always in between 115-125, but my non-fasting (1 or 2 hours after eating) is always between 95-110. I've done research on the 'dawn effect', but no matter what I try, I can't get my morning fasting levels down. I'm 5'-10", 176 lbs, no prescription meds, in shape, exercise regularly, eat right, etc., etc. It's so frustrating.
Thanks for this information, since watching your channel and following your tips, my A1C levels have gone down. I have a co-worker that is trying to suggest I take psyllium husk with my meals, she says it will help with the blood sugar. Is this true and any recommendations on amount one should take daily. How little is to little to be beneficial and how much is to much to be harmful. Not looking for a prescription but a ballpark. What I can find on Google is pretty vague. Thanks!
That makes you poop more which can be good to eliminate waste which is beneficial. If you don't have problems with bowel movements I'd take a small dose. Asking probiotic might be better so your body absorbs nutrients better and you are not deficient. Consult you doctor or specialist to help you out with connecting how things affect you.
You didn't mention chilies, which have been shown in studies to be one of the best things for lowering blood sugar. I eat chilies in some form every day, whether raw, as hot sauce (non-commercial brands, as the commercial ones are mostly vinegar, not chilies) and powdered. The thing is to eat the hotter ones, as they are more effective. Also, no mention of ginger. not sure if it can affect blood sugar or not, but every day I eat a heaping tablespoon of minced ginger/garlic/turmeric. I normally add it to something I am cooking.
Walk walk walk exercise exercise no sodas watch the bread ,avoid processed foods, portion control, limit sweets then walk walk walk & drink plenty water .

I take one shot a week of Trulicity that helps with hunger. I've also just started eating less and you get used to it. When is your last meal before bed? Try less carbs at that meal. I lost a toe in Feb and have gone from 11 a1c to a 7.5 in 3 months. Eat protein in morning and no carbs and be active then check sugars at about 2 hours. I take Lantus before bed time as it's long lasting. In two years I've lost close to 100lbs. That has helped me. I did intermittent fasting and ate more proteins vs carbs during meals. I have Libre freestyle that I can monitor sugars as much as I want so I can see how different foods affect me. Sleep can affect you too. Make sure you are sleeping well too. Wishing you good luck in getting it under control.
My blood sugar is 300 presently after eating breakfast,I take 2mg glympiride morning, kindly suggest how to lower it very fast, which food is good for me, how to maintain my sugar levels sir, I will be grateful, I am worrying too much
Fast. I eat ALL the foods listed. Delicious and healthy. But without avoiding most carbs and restricting eating windows they do virtually NOTHING (for me only???). Low carb - intermittent fasting, however, yields fabulous results. Lost 65lbs. BG=normal. Reduced BP meds by 50% so far. 70lbs to go. :)
