I see why you are suggesting people talk with their doctors. I have outlived 3 of mine so far. Problem is many doctors are stuck on doctrine and don't really look at new studies or anything that disagrees with what they are taught. Now-a-days, people need to take control of their own diabetes AND find doctors who know what they are talking about.

I usually eat from 2 to 4 eggs per day. Just had my blood work done, and my Doc. told me my cholesterol was good. I've been trying to keep it to two eggs a day, but---well they sure are good.

I think it would be helpful for many of us to get an understanding of cholesterol metabolism, including how dietary cholesterol results in serum cholesterol. In the past it was believed that it was impossible for the molecules to pass directly into the bloodstream.

I would appreciate your your thoughts on the following; I went on a nutrition course about 15 years ago, and I know our understanding of nutrition is improving all the time, so things may have changed. On the course we were taught that most blood cholesterol is manufactured in the liver and not directly related to what we eat. I asked about eggs, and the lecturer rated them as a good food, full of essential protein, B vitamins and healthy fats - is this still right?

As a base in my bowl I have some coconut oil mixed with bit of turmeric, pepper n cinnamon n 1 tablespoon of nutritional yeast n then top these with my half boiled egg. I have plain black coffee with sprinkle of cinnamon. This will l last me till mid morning when I have a slice papaya. I am diabetic but on very low carb diet. Thank the 1970s-1980s and the scare tactics done against fat and cholesterol by the sugar industry and lobbyists who swindled the government to create a screwed up food pyramid and force their misguided and biased studies on the minds of the public. The last 10 years have basically shown what everyone pre-1960 knew: fat is good for you, cholesterol is not deadly (lifestyle is), your dietary cholesterol has minimal effect on your total cholesterol and sugar is bad.

Hi Dr Ahmet, I'm "Pre-Diabetic" and am eating HighFat/LowCarb with restricted timeframe eating. Every dietary dietary change I have made to LOWER Blood Sugar and Insulin level seems to RAISE my APO-b currently 134. (particle count) Do you think that is a problem...??? Thank you.

Thanks, doc, for the information about eggs. With me, I usually enjoy eating eggs on any method of cooking such as frying or cook them hard boil such as devil eggs, or in the form of egg salads, etc. I myself am eating both egg salads along with potato salads after my entree without feeling any guilt. 🙂❤️👍👍🦉.

I do not eat breakfast most of the time bc I generally eat one meal a day @ dinner. I also eat mostly alkaline foods. However, I go through of episodes where my body craves 🥚 and 🧀. I have been trying to figure that one out.

Eat four five times a day. Small meals and your cravings will diminish. A diabetic nurse told me to try this. I Too ate one meal a day.

Eat eggs at your dinner meal. Simple. I don't recommend going throughout the day on only one meal though.
