I love how you make good use of your hands in your tutorials. I have noticed that a lot of TKD students and teachers lack that.
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)
Agreed
Aaron has VERY good hands for a Taekwondo guy. He also does kickboxing though.
He does ITF
this is what every Taekwondo student wants❤
nice combinations, i now use some of them in karate sparrings and when i did them for the first time my friends are suprised because they all worked in the first try. Keep up the excelent work
Awesome and I will do my best to :)
Nice combos. I'm gonna apply this to my shotokan sparring.
itf competitions are full contact
Thanks GNT, really helpful videos!! I’m going to use these in my first ITF tournament in a few weeks. Best of luck with the movies too mate, hopefully see you in many more!!
Dude, Ginger ninja rocks. Solid combinations

another great video mate, I'm looking forward to the more advanced combos
I'm glad you liked it and thank you for your support :)
Finding good info on ITF combinations like this is like finding gold. My personal fave is side kick (fake) to back fist or back fist (fake) to side kick, all mixed up; a real basic but I've lost count of how many times this has worked for me against people who really should know better:-) Still works as an opener for kickboxing and Thai. Thanks for the upload.
+Wayne Simpson I appreciate you saying that and no problem :)
With all your videos I have watched, I don't know how I missed this series! I'm headed for regionals in 2 weeks, and sparring combos are my weakness - I tend to get predictable. At least I have some time left to practice more varied combos. Thanks again, Aaron! (Wish me luck. I'm only doing 3 events, but it's my first tournament at this level... after all of the senior instructors insisted I compete in regionals... lol)
Well good luck mixing it up and no problem :) Good luck :)
great video to watch before training! keep up the good work
I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Grat combos also for Thai and MMA sparring sessions, thank you!

Nice. You can see video of the great Frank Brennen doing similar stuff in touch fighting in the 80s and 90s. You can also see video of Stephen Thompson using similar combinations in MMA.

Great video (funny how a 3 year old video is something I need today).
The main question I have for you, what is the kick to punch ratio of ITF ( I know WTF it's like 20:1, sport karate 2:5)?
Thank you for all your videos you have produced over the years.
Good stuff.. Basics are always the best..
Thank you and very true :)
Thanks for making this video, I just starting sparring and this really helpful
Dwayne Culler No problem and i'm glad you found it helpful :)

Is there a vid you have where you have tkd/kickboxing combos that work in a kickboxing/muay thai fighting?
nice men, you are a good trainer
This is the first video i have watched from this Channel. I liked IT very much and i did’nt know that IT existed a taekwondo channel this popular. Do you compete In taekwon-do? If so do you compete internasjonal?
Awesome as usual! Was wondering if you also do pattern work (as you're ITF)? Would be great to see if you had any tips/show how the moves can be used in certain situations.
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :) I do but I wont be posting up any videos on patterns. Good luck with them though :)
I'm WTF also, so it's good to see these combos. Good stuff and thanks for the videos.

Just found your channel while searching for flexibility tips. Really love your presentation. Looking forward to employing your techniques in my attempt to improve.
I appreciate you saying that and good luck with your training :)
some of those, those are the same that we do in Savate.
Amazing
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)
in your tkd style, can you use hook punches in tournaments
I gotta use my sidekick more it always get under the guard but its weird to incorporate to the combos I use
thats a great video
I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
I like this video. I miss these boxing technics with wtf taekwondo. what do you tink about wtf and itf taekwondo?
Wtf " bad - itf " good
thanks for video
No problem :)
I really like this vid and the offensive hand combination video. However I would like to know how well do these techniques transfer to Muay Thai? I'm worried that trying something fancy/lowering my stance will get me kneed or elbowed. What tips can you give me concerning my problem.
Thanks again, looks good. Subscribed
These combos don't have any leg kicks in due to the rules of not being able to kick below the belt in Taekwondo. If you change some to low kicks and don't double up keeping the leg up then it should be fine. Good luck and thank you for your support :)
nice combinations bro..
Nice video GNT.
Thank you :)
i would like see you fighting, you are really awesome GNT!
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)
Ah, I wish I had seen this earlier, as I had my first sparring session in my Sansei Shito Ryu class yesterday (he incorporates some Goshin Budo Jiu Jitsu and Dento Ryu Kobudo into the class as well, though). I did alright, I landed a few techniques, but most of the time people blocked them; my defense was terrible though, I kept forgetting to block when I was attempting an offensive move. Oh well, most of the people were several belts ahead of me anyway and have sparred before. Thank you, though, I will keep this in mind for next time we spar (which is about every 2 months or so) and hopefully do a little bit better at counter-attacking.
I'm sure you will keep improving as long as your working hard. Good luck with your training :)
Great video
Thank you :)
New suscriptor máster. 👍

Hi GingerNinjaTrickster love your vids! I have a taekwondo tournament coming up soon and I'd like to know if there are any good counters against a push kick. And any other useful tips to help? Thanks!
I'm glad you do and I will post more videos in the future to help. Good luck :)
I'm also a ginger and I love this channel
Awesome and Thank you for your support :)
Ur the best
Far from the best but thank you for your support :)
Hey, Aaron. I was wondering if I could ask your opinion on something.
How easy would it be to make the transition from WTF Sparring Rules to ITF Sparring Rules and vice-versa? Are the rules that different from each other that they make Taekwondo split up into almost two different styles of fighting?
It would take a while to get used to in both transitions in my opinion but is definitely possible. A few have done it in the past and have done well :)
Just wondering why there aren't any kicks to the leg in teakwondo... At least I haven't seen one yet...
Great vid as usual!
We do train leg kicks at my Dojang but they are not allowed in competition sparring as kicks have to be above the belt hence why the are not in this video :)
Ginger Ninja Trickster Same
Ginger Ninja Trickster yWe use it in sparring sometimes but it’s a bit rare. We obviously don’t use them in tournaments
@@rapedanina5952 yea in our school the 9nly time you might see someone kick to the leg is if they are a newby
Quality video like always just wondering how comes you dont compete on a professional level judging by your skills, knowledge accuracy and speed you would be pretty dangerous either as a kickboxing or mixing it up with other styles of martial arts and fighting in the cage have you ever considered this ?
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :) I have thought about it but due to all the commitments I have, I would not be able to get to the level that i'd want to be at. Maybe when my daughter grows up a little, I teach less, i'm not traveling as much and I make less videos I will go back to competing as i'll be bale to dedicate enough time :)
ooh thanks
No problem :)
You have to be a good fighter when you're a ginger 😜. Kidding bro, I enjoy your videos.
Hi I have a question I can kick very well with my right leg but can't seem to kick as good with my left leg or as high is there any way of improving my left leg cause I can't even do a jump spinning kick with my left but can with the right any good tips
Use it more so it gets used to the motion and becomes stronger. Good luck :)
Your so cool & fast.
I'm a really big fan of yours but I'm struggling with the flexibility and balance part a little. Could you please make a video about them? Thank you :)
I appreciate your support and i have video on all of those areas already so search on my channel for my stretching tutorials playlist and my other tutorials playlist. Good luck :)

Thats amazing, how often do you train?
I appreciate you saying that and a couple of times a week if I'm lucky lol
⬇️and speed too. Do you have some tips for them?
That is one I will be covering in the future :)
Have u already sparred with kyokushin karateka?
I am going to compete on the nikko itf roma open cup please be there
GNT! Okay first off sweet vid, thanks it helps quite a bit. But I have a question... How effective is TKD against a Muay Thai fighter, i've been practicing both, which are alot different but also quite the same, and I've been trying to use the speed and flexibility from TKD and the Pure strength and force from Muay Thai to increase my martial arts proficiency, but I keep wondering if TKD would be effective against someone with equal training in Muay Thai, as I feel Muay Thai Is much more versatile. Thanks for the vid and I hope you can help me out with this :D
I'm glad you liked it :) It's good to be diverse and Muay Thai is definitely more effective at close range but it depends on the knowledge and skill of the practitioner, this is why no style can be superior. Learn a bit of several martial arts so you are not limited. Good luck :)
Props
you can also use this techniques in KUMITE
Fantastic video dude...:D
I'm glad you liked it :)
:D
It enrich boxing punches with taekwondo kicks. Very useful in street fight I guess..
I doing a kickboxing grading do you have any good tips?
If your grading just make sure you know your syllabus and if you trained well then that shouldn't be a problem. As for the nerves you will experience, I want to tell you that everyone gets nervous (including me too yes lol) as it means something to us. Just work hard, try to deal with your nerves as best as possible and show them that your worthy of your next grade. Good luck :)
Thank you
What type of tkd do u study
